Daughter
A daughter is a female offspring; a girl, woman, or female animal in relation to her parents. Daughterhood is the state of being a daughter. The male counterpart is a son. Analogously the name is used in several areas to show relations between groups or elements.
In patriarchal societies, daughters often have different or lesser familial rights than sons. A family may prefer to have sons rather than daughters, with the daughters subjected to female infanticide. In some societies it is the custom for a daughter to be 'sold' to her husband, who must pay a bride price. The reverse of this custom, where the parents pay the husband a sum of money to compensate for the financial burden of the woman, is found in societies where women do not labour outside the home, and is referred to as dowry.
In the United States, the birth rate is 105 sons to 100 daughters which has been the natural birth rate since the 18th century. About 80 percent of prospective adoptive parents from the US will choose a girl over a boy.

If You Leave
"If You Leave" is a 1986 song by the British synthpop group Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). It was recorded for the soundtrack to the film Pretty in Pink (1986) where it was played prominently during the final scene.
It is the band's highest-charting single in the United States, where it reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in May 1986. The song became an international hit, also reaching the Top 5 in Canada and New Zealand, and charting at number 15 in Australia. It failed to crack the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 48, but eventually gained popularity in the band's home country due to its inclusion on the multi-platinum selling The Best of OMD (1988) and the growing cult status of Pretty in Pink.
Composition
The band wrote "If You Leave" after John Hughes decided to change the ending to Pretty in Pink after poor test audience reactions. Hughes had asked the band for a song for the new ending two days before they were due to begin a tour, and "If You Leave" was written and recorded in under 24 hours as a result. The song was deliberately written at a tempo of 120 BPM, to match the speed of Don't You (Forget About Me), which the dancers in the scene had initially danced too. despite this songwriter Andy McClusky later noted that an editing error meant that the dancing appears out of sync regardless. The original ending featured another OMD song, "Goddess of Love", which was released on The Pacific Age later in 1986.

The Shamer's Daughter - VFX Breakdowns
Our talented team created some amazing dragons for the Danish fantasy feature film “The Shamer’s Daughter”. We completed a total of 140 shots, 65 of them with CG dragons in them. We also designed and built the fortress town of Dunark from scratch in 3D and added details like crowds in the streets, animals and smoke from the chimneys. The result is a beautiful environment that helps tell this compelling story and places the viewer in a believable imaginary world rich in detail. It’s been a wonderful experience working with Nepenthe Film and director Kenneth Kainz, and the project allowed us to produce the most complex and impressive work to come out of Storm Studios to date. We see the consequences of a lover who is struggling with her partners disease and the person he once was, only to succumb to his demons and dive head first into his addiction. Our talented team created some amazing dragons for the Danish fantasy feature film “The Shamer’s Daughter”. We completed a total of 140 shots, 65 of them with CG dragons in them. We also designed and built the fortress town of Dunark from scratch in 3D and added details like crowds in the streets, animals and smoke from the chimneys. The result is a beautiful environment that helps tell this compelling story and places the viewer in a believable imaginary world rich in detail.
It’s been a wonderful experience working with Nepenthe Film and director Kenneth Kainz, and the project allowed us to produce the most complex and impressive work to come out of Storm Studios to date. We’re very proud of the result and want to share this VFX breakdown to show how some of these impressive shots were put together.

Zack came to us with the idea of telling a story through dance :
A love story that is tangled in addiction. We see the consequences of a lover who is struggling with her partners disease and the person he once was, only to succumb to his demons and dive head first into his addiction.
The choreography was created and rehearsed over a period of several days with Tamara, who is known also as the French singer Shy'm rather than a dancer. It was shot in an abandoned warehouse in Paris, formerly used for creating glassware and silverware.
All natural lighting, thanks to the clouds and dirty windows :)

Our talented team created some amazing dragons for the Danish fantasy feature film “The Shamer’s Daughter”. We completed a total of 140 shots, 65 of them with CG dragons in them. We also designed and built the fortress town of Dunark from scratch in 3D and added details like crowds in the streets, animals and smoke from the chimneys. The result is a beautiful environment that helps tell this compelling story and places the viewer in a believable imaginary world rich in detail.
It’s been a wonderful experience working with Nepenthe Film and director Kenneth Kainz, and the project allowed us to produce the most complex and impressive work to come out of Storm Studios to date. We’re very proud of the result and want to share this VFX breakdown to show how some of these impressive shots were put together.

A love story that is tangled in addiction. We see the consequences of a lover who is struggling with her partners disease and the person he once was, only to succumb to his demons and dive head first into his addiction.
The choreography was created and rehearsed over a period of several days with Tamara, who is known also as the French singer Shy'm rather than a dancer. It was shot in an abandoned warehouse in Paris, formerly used for creating glassware and silverware.
All natural lighting, thanks to the clouds and dirty windows :)
