Bloomfield may refer to:
Michael Bernard "Mike" Bloomfield (July 28, 1943 – February 15, 1981) was an American musician, guitarist, and composer, born in Chicago, Illinois, who became one of the first popular music superstars of the 1960s to earn his reputation almost entirely on his instrumental prowess, since he rarely sang before 1969 and 1970. Respected for his fluid guitar playing, Bloomfield knew and played with many of Chicago's blues legends even before he achieved his own fame, and was one of the primary influences on the mid-to-late 1960s revival of classic Chicago and other styles of blues music. In 2003 he was ranked at number 22 on Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and 42nd in 2011 by the same magazine. He was inducted in the Blues Hall of Fame in 2012 and with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
Bloomfield was born into a wealthy Jewish-American family on the North Side of Chicago but preferred music to the family catering equipment business, becoming a blues devotee as a teenager and spending time at Chicago's South Side blues clubs, playing guitar with some black bluesmen (Sleepy John Estes, Yank Rachell, Little Brother Montgomery). Bloomfield's family eventually moved to suburban Glencoe, Illinois, where Bloomfield attended New Trier High School for two years before being expelled. He attended Cornwall Academy in Massachusetts for one year before returning to Chicago where he spent his last year at the local YMCA school.
Al Kooper (born Alan Peter Kuperschmidt, February 5, 1944) is an American songwriter, record producer and musician, known for organizing Blood, Sweat & Tears (although he did not stay with the group long enough to share its popularity), providing studio support for Bob Dylan when he went electric in 1965, and bringing together guitarists Mike Bloomfield and Stephen Stills to record the Super Session album. He has had a successful solo career since then, written music for film soundtracks, and has lectured in musical composition. He continues to perform live.
Kooper, born in Brooklyn, grew up in a Jewish family in Hollis Hills, Queens, New York. His first musical success was as a fourteen-year-old guitarist in the Royal Teens, best known for their 1958 ABC Records novelty twelve-bar blues riff, "Short Shorts". In 1960, he joined the songwriting team of Bob Brass and Irwin Levine and wrote "This Diamond Ring", which became a hit for Gary Lewis and the Playboys. When he was twenty-one, Kooper moved to Greenwich Village.

http://www.stewmac.com/ Dan Erlewine first saw this Tele back in the 1960s, before Mike Bloomfield recorded with it on Bob Dylan’s Highway 61 Revisited album. That was also before Bloomfield and Dylan were booed for going electric at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. And before Bloomfield recorded the first Paul Butterfield Blues Band album with this guitar. There’s a lot of history in this Telecaster! About the guitar in this video: This is the 1963 Tele that Mike Bloomfield used to record iconic guitar solos with Bob Dylan and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band in 1965. It’s been chopped into a lefty configuration! Zeittotschlger auf ihren Wegen
heute Nacht gehre ich zu ihnen
Zeittotschlger, fr fnf Mark Freiheit
und fr dreiig Mark Bier
wegen ihm oder ihr
Falsche Richtung!
Falsche Richtung?
Dummheit la mich los
Dummheit la los!
Zeittotschlger laufen um ihr Leben
bevor die Schulbank sie kriegt
und ihnen alles wegnimmt
Zeittotschlger laufen um ihr Leben
irgendwann hlt Gott seine Arme auf
bis hierhin und nicht weiter
Wissen tut weh, Gott nicht
und '33 war Adolf Hitler Gottes Sohn
Falsche Richtung!
Falsche Richtung!
Dummheit la mich los
Dummheit la los!
Ich will, da Liebe wahr wird,
ich will, da Liebe wahr wird
Ich wei, da Liebe wahr werden kann
