The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybrid cable-stayed/suspension bridge in New York City and is one of the oldest bridges of either type in the United States. Completed in 1883, it connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn by spanning the East River. It has a main span of 1,595.5 feet (486.3 m), and was the first steel-wire suspension bridge constructed. It was originally referred to as the New York and Brooklyn Bridge and as the East River Bridge, but it was later dubbed the Brooklyn Bridge, a name coming from an earlier January 25, 1867, letter to the editor of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, and formally so named by the city government in 1915. Since its opening, it has become an icon of New York City, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1964 and a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1972.
Although the Brooklyn Bridge is technically a suspension bridge, it uses a hybrid cable-stayed/suspension bridge design. The towers are built of limestone, granite, and Rosendale cement. The limestone was quarried at the Clark Quarry in Essex County, New York. The granite blocks were quarried and shaped on Vinalhaven Island, Maine, under a contract with the Bodwell Granite Company, and delivered from Maine to New York by schooner.
Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn Bridge (or simply The Brooklyn Bridge) is an American musical group, best known for their million-selling rendition of Jimmy Webb's "The Worst That Could Happen" (1968).
New York City-born Johnny Maestro (born John Mastrangelo aka Johnny Mastro aka Johnny Masters; May 7, 1939 – March 24, 2010) began his career in 1957 as the original lead singer of the Crests, one of the first interracial groups of the recording industry. Patricia Van Dross, older sister to famed R&B singer Luther Vandross, sang with Johnny Maestro while The Crests were signed to the Joyce Record label. Before the Crests signed with Coed Records, Patricia left the group because her mother didn't want her 15-year-old daughter touring with the older guys. After a regional hit with "My Juanita"/"Sweetest One" on the Joyce label, he had two years of chart success with the Crests on Coed Records with "16 Candles", "Six Nights A Week", "Step by Step", "The Angels Listened In", and "Trouble in Paradise". Between "Step by Step" and "Trouble in Paradise", Coed released a single "The Great Physician" under the name Johnny Masters. Maestro would leave the Crests for a solo career. Maestro was unable to reach his former chart heights with the Crests, but did have Top 40 hits with "What A Surprise" and "Model Girl" in 1961 as solo artist Johnny Mastro, "The Voice of the Crests" for Coed Records. For his next three singles with the label he was known as Johnny Maestro, the third spelling change for the label. None of those records charted and Maestro recorded for three different labels before briefly reuniting with the Crests as Johnny Maestro & the Crests in 1965 and 1966 which produced four singles.
The Mormon pioneers were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), also known as Latter-day Saints, who migrated across the United States from the Midwest to the Salt Lake Valley in what is today the U.S. state of Utah. At the time of the cease fire and planning of the exodus in 1846, the territory was owned by the Republic of Mexico, which soon after went to war with the United States over the annexation of Texas. Salt Lake Valley became American territory as a result of this war.
The journey was taken by about 70,000 people beginning with advanced parties sent out by church fathers in March 1846 after the assassination of Mormon prophet Joseph Smith made it clear the faith could not remain in Nauvoo, Illinois—which the church had recently purchased, improved, renamed and developed because of the Missouri Mormon War setting off the Illinois Mormon War. The well organized wagon train migration began in earnest in April 1847, and the period (including the flight from Missouri in 1838 to Nauvoo) known as the Mormon Exodus is, by convention among social scientists, traditionally assumed to have ended with the completion of the First Transcontinental Railroad in 1869. Not everyone could afford to transport a family by railroad, and the transcontinental railroad network only serviced limited main routes, so Wagon train migrations to the far west continued sporadically until the 20th century,
Oprah Gail Winfrey, born January 29, 1954, is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, which was the highest-rated program of its kind in history and was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2011. Dubbed the "Queen of All Media", she has been ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and is now North America's first and only multi-billionaire Black. Several assessments regard her as the most influential woman in the world. In 2013, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama and honorary doctorate degrees from Duke and Harvard.
Winfrey was born into poverty in rural Mississippi to a teenage single mother and later raised in an inner-city Milwaukee neighborhood. She has stated that she was molested during her childhood and early teens and became pregnant at 14; her son died in infancy. Sent to live with the man she calls her father, a barber in Tennessee, Winfrey landed a job in radio while still in high school and began co-anchoring the local evening news at the age of 19. Her emotional ad-lib delivery eventually got her transferred to the daytime-talk-show arena, and after boosting a third-rated local Chicago talk show to first place, she launched her own production company and became internationally syndicated.

The Brooklyn Bridge is a famous landmark that has always been adored by not just New Yorkers, but residents of other states, and foreigners from a vast majority of countries for over a century. It does not just connect Brooklyn to Manhattan but people everywhere because universally, we are all equal and capable of greatness. This piece is not simply a collage of pictures arranged in any old fashion. This is my story about the historical, geographical, artistic, and personal joy, and inspiration that resides behind the bright lights and fancy designs. From 1806 to 1869, John A Roebling, a German born engineer designed the 3,460 foot long Brooklyn Bridge. Work on the bridge began in 1869. He was one of the first visionary bridge designers to use steel cables in his projects and invented...

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir is directed by Carol Cymbala, the wife of Pastor Jim Cymbala. The 280-voice choir, which for the most part is composed of vocally untrained church members, has recorded three videos, three DVDs and numerous albums, winning five Dove Awards and six Grammy Awards. Their concert venues in New York City have included Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, and the Madison Square Garden Theater. They also had the honor of singing at the Billy Graham Crusades that were held in New York City's Central Park and Flushing Meadows Park. The recognition that the choir has received has provided them with a wide open door for ministry in presenting the gospel message through music to people all over the world. Take a late night, colorful, hypnotic trip through Brooklyn with the trance-like grooves and music of drummer and percussionist Steve Holloway, and the fun, informative pop-up graphics of artist Tracey Berglund! Steve's original soundtrack utilizes acoustic and electronic beats, with congas, djembes, bodhran, drum kit and other percussion instruments. Paul mooney the godfather of comedy 2012 FULL Stand Up.. THE UGLY TRUTH REGARDING THE US
All we need but it's so hard to find
Is some peace, peace of mind
All we need but it's so hard to find
Is some peace, peace of mind
When the fathers and the mothers fight all the time
Leave the sisters and the brothers no time to rhyme
To the left, to the right
So far apart
With so much to consider, no time for the heart
Time for the heart
All we need but it's so hard to find
All we need is peace of mind
All we need but it's so hard to find
