New York is a state in the Northeastern United States and is the United States' 27th-most extensive, fourth-most populous, and seventh-most densely populated state. New York is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south and Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont to the east. The state has a maritime border in the Atlantic Ocean with Rhode Island, east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Quebec to the north and Ontario to the west and north. The state of New York, with an estimated 19.8 million residents in 2015, is often referred to as New York State to distinguish it from New York City, the state's most populous city and its economic hub.
With an estimated population of nearly 8.5 million in 2014, New York City is the most populous city in the United States and the premier gateway for legal immigration to the United States. The New York City Metropolitan Area is one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world. New York City is a global city, exerting a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment, its fast pace defining the term New York minute. The home of the United Nations Headquarters, New York City is an important center for international diplomacy and has been described as the cultural and financial capital of the world, as well as the world's most economically powerful city. New York City makes up over 40% of the population of New York State. Two-thirds of the state's population lives in the New York City Metropolitan Area, and nearly 40% live on Long Island. Both the state and New York City were named for the 17th century Duke of York, future King James II of England. The next four most populous cities in the state are Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers, and Syracuse, while the state capital is Albany.

Isaac Freeman III, better known by his stage name Fatman Scoop is an American hype man, hip hop promoter and radio personality famed for his on-stage rough, raw, loud voice.
He is known for the song "Be Faithful" which went to number one in the UK and Ireland in late 2003 and top 5 in Australia. The song has been a favorite in clubs around the world for years but it took two years to clear the samples from Jay-Z, Black Sheep, Queen Pen, The Beatnuts and Faith Evans.
Fatman Scoop also has his own sex and relationship show/podcast. All episodes can also be seen on the Man and Wife channel on internet TV network, ONLOQ.com, as well as MTV. He also appears as himself on the TV series The Boondocks (season 2, episode 5, "The Story of Thugnificent" and episode 15, "The Story of Gangstalicious Part 2", from the same season).
Fatman Scoop received his stage name after appearing in the Fugees 'Killing Me Softly' video as a cinema worker serving popcorn and ice-cream. Lauryn Hill was a massive ice-cream fan herself so would shout 'scoop, scoop, fatman scoop' when she wanted a tub of her favourite snack. Lauryn Hill and Pras also made a spoof version of their most popular song, exchanging the lyrics 'killing me softly with his song' for 'filling my belly with popcorn'.
New York—often called New York City or the City of New York to distinguish it from the State of New York, of which it is a part—is the most populous city in the United States and the center of the New York metropolitan area, the premier gateway for legal immigration to the United States and one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world. A global power city, New York exerts a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment, its fast pace defining the term New York minute. Home to the headquarters of the United Nations, New York is an important center for international diplomacy and has been described as the cultural and financial capital of the world.
Situated on one of the world's largest natural harbors, New York City consists of five boroughs, each of which is a separate county of New York State. The five boroughs – Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island – were consolidated into a single city in 1898. With a census-estimated 2014 population of 8,491,079 distributed over a land area of just 305 square miles (790 km2), New York is the most densely populated major city in the United States. As many as 800 languages are spoken in New York, making it the most linguistically diverse city in the world. By 2014 census estimates, the New York City metropolitan region remains by a significant margin the most populous in the United States, as defined by both the Metropolitan Statistical Area (20.1 million residents) and the Combined Statistical Area (23.6 million residents). In 2013, the MSA produced a gross metropolitan product (GMP) of nearly US$1.39 trillion, while in 2012, the CSA generated a GMP of over US$1.55 trillion, both ranking first nationally by a wide margin and behind the GDP of only twelve and eleven countries, respectively.

After his wife passed away last year, Frank Gurerra, 90, says that his job as a machinist for New York City Transit Authority is like therapy. By Pearl Gabel. Article: http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/brooklyn/brooklyn-man-90-working-mta-trains-moving-article-1.1979971

If light rail gets the funding to get moving, Brooklyn Park will one day have five light rail stations. The most of any city along the proposed 13 mile route from Minneapolis. For residents, it's all in the details of what will be built in their neighborhood. The design of the Bottineau Light Rail line will be nearly compete by the end of the year, meanwhile supporters are still working on the state and federal funding that's needed to build the line. In Brooklyn Park Thursday, it was the last of five public meetings to review plans that are 60 percent finished. There was also an unveiling of how one neighborhood will be transformed. "I hope they will take away a sense of excitement that the train is becoming more real and get excited about the design and the potential," said Brooklyn Park...

It did not take long before early cameramen discovered the added value of the moving camera by putting their machines on boats and trains. This film must be one of the greatest examples with its mesmerizing, almost hypnotic "tunnel" part. Much later dollies would be specifically made to move cameras around. The effect was popularized by the 1914 italian movie "Cabiria"; for years it was referred to as a "Cabiria" movement by filmmakers. A very similar film is available entitled "New Brooklyn to New York via Brooklyn Bridge #2", dated 22-09-1899. This could very well be version #1. Or is this in the other direction?

Give me a minute and I'll tell you stories of the life I used to have and the family I'm from,
Back in a town where the water tasted good and I could still sleep fine,
Go back in time before I met the reason that I can't lie still at night,
with my hands along my side,
Those easy times, no sign of cares in adolescent minds.
Do you believe me when I look this happy?
You only see it 'cause you standing with me,
When you are gone I see these looks go distant,
You only see it when your standing with me.
Take a minutes see the situation as we left it long ago, in my room, after my show,
So many months fell in that one little night that I thought was fine,
Sure the cut was deep but I am not so poor that I will let it get me down,
not the family I'm from,
All those singles nights, and crazy thoughts in my aggressive mind.
Do you believe me when I look this happy?
You only see it 'cause you standing with me,
When you are gone I see these looks go distant,
You only see it when your standing with me.
I wanna be the only one, the only one, that's knocking at your door,
I wanna be the anchor and the saving grace that holds you always,
I know it's not lost on you, I still see something in your eyes when I look in,
And we can move right to put both feet on the ground, so you can let your guard down.
See I don't get it, I could never do enough and I was so on top of you,
everything you were into,
Back in a time when everything was fine, or at least I thought so,
I have something better than the run-of-the-town kinda richer, kinda plain,
ones you see on the L train,
And I don't know how you get on with anyone but me.
I wanna be the only one, the only one, that's knocking at your door,
I wanna be the anchor and the saving grace that holds you always,
I know it's not lost on you, I still see something in your eyes when I look in,
And we can move right to put both feet on the ground, so you can let your guard down.
I wanna be the only one, the only one, that's knocking at your door,
I wanna be the anchor and the saving grace that holds you always,
I know it's not lost on you, I still see something in your eyes when I look in,
And we can move right to put both feet on the ground, so you can let your guard down.
Do you believe me when I look this happy?
You only see it 'cause you standing with me,
When you are gone I see these looks go distant,
