Nursing workout These workouts were created for you by me. I know nurses have a limited amount of time to exercise, limited funds for gym memberships/Personal trainer, and lack of drive because they are always tired. During my med surge clinical today, I received a lot of questions on what to do and how to do it. These next series of videos should answer your questions. These exercises will focus not only to burn fat, and tone you up, but also to strengthen your bodies for the strenuous nursing profession. There is no hidden agenda here; I just want my fellow nurses to be fit and healthy. When they are fit and healthy, they are happier, and that makes my interactions with them a lot better as well. If you have any more questions, don't be shy to contact me; I will get back to you as soon as possible. Level 1 This is the beginner level with a limited knowledge in fitness. I will limit your workout and prepare your body to work. We will strengthen all the parts of your body and teach you a few things along the way. This set of exercise is to be performed 3 days a week. You can perform both circuits one after another, which should take about 8 minutes. Do not take breaks between exercises. Do them in succession of one another as fast as possible. The goal is to do as many as you can in each of the 5 minutes. The first movement is the Squat: made to strengthen your leg, core, and butt. Key points: don't let your knees go past your toes. Squat down like you are sitting in a chair. Feet shoulder width apart. Toes pointed forward. Don't lean on your heels or toes when you squat. Keep your whole foot planted on the ground Do Squats for 5 repetitions. 2nd movement: Mountain jumpers. Used for your core, legs, and arms. Plants your hands in front of you and jump your feet in between your hands. You don't have to jump past your hands, because you will fall over. Jump almost up to your hands and jump back. Do Mountain jumpers for 5repetitions. 3rd exercise is Heel Touches is used to strengthen your core, and abs. Lay down on your back and lift up your legs while spreading them. Keep up your legs, and touch each heel with the opposite arm. 20 repetitions of this exercise. 4th exercise : Lunges used to strengthen your legs. Lunges are done by stepping one foot forward and squatting down. The back knees should touch the floor. And the back foot should be on your toes when the lunge is happening. 5 on each leg. 5th exercise- Burpees are used to strengthen your arms, legs, core and increase overall endurance. This exercise is the killer. So you squat down. Put ur hands in from of you and sprawl your legs back. Then you jump back up like you did in the mountain climbers and you jump up from a squat position. 5 repetitions of this exercise. When you finish the first round. I would like you to directly start the second round. These 5 exercises are 1 round. Keep going until, the time is up.
