Richter may refer to:
Max Richter (born 22 March 1966) is a German-born British composer who has been an influential voice in post-minimalist composition and in the meeting of contemporary classical and alternative popular musical styles since the early 2000s. Richter is classically trained, having graduated in composition from the Royal Academy of Music and studied with Luciano Berio in Italy, and is also strongly influenced by punk and electronic music.
Richter is known for his prolific output, composing and recording his own music; writing for stage, opera, ballet and screen; producing and collaborating on the records of others; and collaborating with performance, installation and media artists. He has recorded seven solo albums and his music is widely used in cinema.
Richter grew up in the United Kingdom in the county town of Bedford where he was educated at Bedford Modern School. After school he studied composition and piano at the University of Edinburgh, the Royal Academy of Music, and with Luciano Berio in Florence. After finishing his studies, Richter co-founded the contemporary classical ensemble Piano Circus. He stayed with the group for ten years, commissioning and performing works by minimalist musicians such as Arvo Pärt, Brian Eno, Philip Glass, Julia Wolfe, and Steve Reich. The ensemble was signed to Decca/Argo, producing five albums.
March 20 [O.S. March 7] 1915 – August 1, 1997) was a Russian pianist known for the depth of his interpretations, virtuoso technique, and vast repertoire. He is considered one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century.
Richter was born near Zhytomyr, in the Russian Empire (present-day Ukraine). His father, Teofil Danilovich Richter (1872–1941), was a German expatriate pianist, organist, and composer who had studied in Vienna. His mother, Anna Pavlovna (née Moskaleva; 1893–1963), was from a landowning family, and at one point had been a pupil of her future husband. In 1918, when Richter's parents were in Odessa, the Civil War separated them from their son, and Richter moved in with his aunt Tamara. He lived with her from 1918 to 1921, and it was then that his interest in art first manifested itself: he first became interested in painting, which his aunt taught him.

Deutsche Grammophon is a German classical record label that was the foundation of the future corporation to be known as PolyGram. It is now part of Universal Music Group (UMG) since its merger with the MCA family of labels in 1999. It is the oldest surviving established record company.
Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft was founded in 1898 by German-born United States citizen Emile Berliner as the German branch of his Berliner Gramophone Company. Berliner sent his nephew Joseph Sanders from America to set up operations. Based in the city of Hanover (the founder's birthplace), the company had links with the U.S. Victor Talking Machine Company and the British Gramophone Company, but those links were severed at the onset of World War I. Early labels bore the legend Grammophon and the painting "His Master's Voice" featuring the dog Nipper.
In 1941, Deutsche Grammophon was purchased by the Siemens & Halske electronics company.
In 1949, Deutsche Grammophon sold the German rights of the His Master's Voice trademark to the Electrola unit of EMI. The dog and gramophone were replaced by the crown of tulips, designed by Siemens advertising consultant Hans Domizlaff.

I was searching for a "Best of Max Richter" video on YouTube and didn't find such one so I decided to make it on my own. Max Richter for me is one of the most brilliant composers of our time, side by side with Hans Zimmer, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Harry Gregson-Williams and Tom Holkenborg. He is definitely one of my favorites and in this compilation, you'll understand why. Have a nice listening, I hope you'll like it. it's happening right now and I'm watching from my living room
my little black box providing visions of the future for me
fire, smoke and ash - the images I see before me
fractional backwash of some distant war
it's my belief that we can never be together
chances are so small we'll survive another year
it's my contention that we haven't got forever
even if our love is strong our lives may disappear
it's happening right now and I'm watching from my roof top view
green fumes expanding from the a-track - where are you?
once released it makes its way into the evening sky
so relieved to find that only one in three will die
it's my belief that we can never be together
chances are so small we'll survive another day
it's my contention that we haven't got forever
