Roton

In theoretical physics, a roton is an elementary excitation, or quasiparticle, in superfluid helium-4. The dispersion relation of elementary excitations in this superfluid shows a linear increase from the origin, but exhibits first a maximum and then a minimum in energy as the momentum increases. Excitations with momenta in the linear region are called phonons; those with momenta close to the minimum are called rotons. Excitations with momenta near the maximum are sometimes called maxons.

The term "roton" is also used for the quantised eigenmode of a freely rotating molecule.

Models

Originally, the roton spectrum was phenomenologically introduced by Lev Landau. Currently there exist different models which try to explain the roton spectrum, with a different degree of success and fundamentality. The requirement for any model of such kind is that it must explain not only the shape of the spectrum itself but also other related observables, such as the speed of sound and structure factor of superfluid helium-4. Microwave and Bragg spectroscopy has been conducted on helium to study roton spectrum.

Radio Killer

Radio Killer is a Romanian dance/pop and eurodance music group. Their debut single was released in 2009 and is called "Voila". It was the most broadcast song in Romania and Russia of that year. The name "Radio Killer" comes from the fact that "radio killer" means "hit" in US slang; Radio Killer plans for all its songs to be hits.

They have had songs chart in countries including Germany, Italy, Spain, England, France, Russia, Slovenia, Greece, and Switzerland and even got a first place in the UK charts. and won an award for "Best New Act" in the 2010 Romanian Music Awards. Their single "Calling You" was the first song by a Romanian DJ project to be in the BBC Radio One playlist. Their song "Is It Love Out There" is the official anthem for the Liberty Parade, the biggest street dance event in Romania.

Born 27 July 1983 in Pitești), real name Andrei Tiberiu Maria, Smiley is singer, songwriter, composer and record producer. He was part of the band Simplu and has developed a solo career. In 2013, he won "Best Romanian Act" during the MTV Europe Music Awards held in Amsterdam. He had been nominated as a solo act three times for the same award in 2008, 2009 and 2011 and twice in 2006 and 2007 as part of Simplu. He is also a television personality having hosted Românii au talent for four consecutive seasons (2011-2014) and being a coach in Vocea României also for three consecutive seasons (2011-2013).

My Love on You

"My Love on You", also referred to as "Love On You", is a song recorded by Romanian recording artist Anda Adam for her studio album, Amo (2013). It was released for digital download on 26 November 2009, while a digital remix EP containing remixes of the songs from DJs from different countries was also made available for purchase. The track reached commercial success, eventually peaking at number one in Turkey and at number seven on the native Romanian Top 100. According to the Romanian Year-End Chart from 2010, "My Love on You" was broacast overall at least 6.000 times in Romania that year.

Critical reception

The critical reception for the song was mostly positive, with music critics praising Adam's voice performance and the track's instrumentation.

The official music video for "My Love on You" was shot on January 15, 2010 at the Atlantis Studios in Bucharest, Romania by Iulian Moga.

Synopsis

The clip opens with Adam lying in a dark room and a light reflecting on her. Following this, she is shortly seen in a transparent box and dancing with her female and male backup dancers in a green room. Cut scenes for that scene portray her sitting on a motocycle. Subsequently, Adam is seen again inside the steamy box from the beginning, where she is sweating and trying to escape. Upon her escape, the music video ends with the opening scene.

Alexandra Stan

Alexandra Ioana Stan (born 10 June 1989 in Constanța) is a Romanian singer. Her career began in 2009 when native music producers Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi heard her singing at a Karaoke bar and proposed her a contract with their own management, Maan Studio. She subsequently released her debut recording "Lollipop (Param Pam Pam)" in late 2009. The song and its video were met with bad reviews, being criticised for their eroticism. Her next single, "Mr. Saxobeat", was composed by Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi, the duo that discovered her at the Mamaia Music Festival. It became her worldwide breakthrough hit, selling 1,000,000 copies in less than a year. The single went to number one in a total of nine countries and reached the top ten in over thirty countries, such as New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia. It became a top-thirty hit in Canada and the United States. She released her debut album in August 2011, entitled Saxobeats, which reached the top thirty album charts in several European countries, including Germany, Austria and Finland. The record spawns her next single "Get Back (ASAP)", which gained success in several more countries, notably in Romania, Finland and France.

Career

Fly Project made its debut in music already in 2005 with the song "Raisa". The song became popular, reaching charts in Europe, including the French Singles Chart and the Romanian Top 100. Then they released their debut studio album, called Fly Project. One year later, a Romanian language song, called "K-Tinne" reached the position #52 in Romanian Top 100's 2007 year-end chart, while reaching the first position in their native country's weekly chart.

After a break, the band released "Brasil", which topped charts from Romania, Russia, Greece, Spain, Moldova, Turkey, the Netherlands, Serbia Hungary and other. The single was nominated for "Best dance song" on the Romanian Music Awards. Their song "Mandala" from 2011, reached for the first time a top-ten peak position in Russia and the later released song "Goodbye" was the most playied song in their native country in that year. It rose up to popularity in more countries and reached the first position in the Romanian Singles Chart and the fourth position in the Romanian End-Year Chart. "Musica" was released in 2013 and became the band's second most successful single. It was a top-ten hit in Italy and Russia and was certified gold by the FIMI.
