Mage Publishers is an independent press founded in 1985. We publish books of Persian (Iranian) literature and culture in English, and once in a while, books in Persian (Farsi). Titles include books about Persian/Iranian gardens; art; poetry, including the Shahnameh/Shahnama and Hafez/Hafiz; Persian/Iranian cooking and ceremonies from ancient Persia to Modern Iran. Mage also publishes books of Persian/Iranian history from ancient times, to the safavid period, to the Qajar period, and to modern Iran, as well as the history of the Persian Gulf.
