Romance (love)

Romance is the expressive and pleasurable feeling from an emotional attraction towards another person often associated with sexual attraction. It is eros rather than agape, philia, or storge.

In the context of romantic love relationships, romance usually implies an expression of one's strong romantic love, or one's deep and strong emotional desires to connect with another person intimately or romantically. Historically, the term "romance" originates with the medieval ideal of chivalry as set out in its chivalric romance literature.

Humans have a natural inclination to form bonds with one another through social interactions, be it through verbal communication or nonverbal gestures.

General definitions

The debate over an exact definition of romantic love may be found in literature as well as in the works of psychologists, philosophers, biochemists and other professionals and specialists. Romantic love is a relative term, but generally accepted as a definition that distinguishes moments and situations within intimate relationships to an individual as contributing to a significant relationship connection.

In Love

"In Love" is a song written by Mike Reid and Bruce Dees, and recorded by American country music artist Ronnie Milsap. It was released in June 1986 as the third single from the album Lost in the Fifties Tonight.

Success and reception

"In Love" was Milsap's 44th single to be released, and his 29th No. 1 hit on the Billboard country charts. The song came during the peak of his success as country music singer as it was part of an uninterrupted string of several No. 1 hits to his credit.

The song was also one of several songs written by songwriter Reid which became major hits for Milsap.

Crazy in Love

"Crazy in Love" is a song from Beyoncé's 2003 debut solo album Dangerously in Love. Beyoncé wrote the song with Rich Harrison, Jay Z, and Eugene Record, and produced it with Harrison. "Crazy in Love" is an R&B and pop love song that incorporates elements of hip hop, soul, and 1970s-style funk music. Its lyrics describe a romantic obsession that causes the protagonist to act out of character. Jay Z contributes a rapped verse to the song and is credited as a featured performer. The French horn-based hook samples "Are You My Woman (Tell Me So)," a 1970 song by the Chi-Lites.

Columbia Records released "Crazy in Love" on May 18, 2003, as the lead single from Dangerously in Love. It was a number-one hit in the United States and United Kingdom, and achieved top-ten peaks on several other countries' record charts. With global sales of over 8.5 million, including 2 million from the U.S., it is one of the best-selling singles of all time. Music critics praised "Crazy in Love"'s hook, Jay Z's contribution, and Beyoncé's assertive delivery of the lyrics. VH1 declared it the greatest song of the 2000s decade, while Rolling Stone ranked it as the 118th best song of all time in 2010. At the 46th Grammy Awards, "Crazy in Love" won Best R&B Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.

Personal

She was born to a Moroccan mother and Swedish father. When she was younger, she used to go to Morocco four times a year. Karlberg says her biggest inspiration when it comes to her music is Amy Winehouse and Christina Aguilera.

Career

Karlberg became a viral sensation when she covered Beyonce's song "Crazy In Love". Her cover was on UK Top 75s, Hot 40 UK, many weeks on Spotify's viral chart and on top of the charts on iTunes in many countries. She has also done many popular covers such as "Take Me To Church" by Hozier, "Stay With Me" by Sam Smith and "Shameless" by The Weeknd

Fifty Shades of Grey is a 2011 erotic romance novel by British author E. L. James. It is the first instalment in the Fifty Shades trilogy that traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. It is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism (BDSM). Originally self-published as an ebook and a print-on-demand, publishing rights were acquired by Vintage Books in March 2012.

Fifty Shades of Grey has topped best-seller lists around the world, selling over 125 million copies worldwide by June 2015. It has been translated into 52 languages, and set a record in the United Kingdom as the fastest-selling paperback of all time. Critical reception of the book, however, has tended toward the negative, with the quality of its prose generally seen as poor. Universal Pictures and Focus Features produced a film adaptation, which was released on 13 February 2015 which also received generally unfavourable reviews.
