Liberty Bridge (Serbian: Мост слободе or Most slobode) is a Cable-stayed bridge on the Danube river in Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia. The bridge was built in 1981 and destroyed during NATO bombardment on April 4, 1999. It was rebuilt 2003-2005 and reopened on October 7, 2005. The bridge was designed by Nikola Hajdin.
Rebuilding the bridge cost the city €40 million and lasted for 2 years and 22 days. Maja Gojković, the mayor of Novi Sad, reopened it on October 7, 2005. The official reopening was held a few days later, with officials from the European Agency for Reconstruction present. The bridge's reconstruction and opening was a cause for political clashes; one side saying Novi Sad and its citizens should be thankful to EU for the gift of the reconstructed bridge, and the other that EU was obliged to reconstruct it anyway, as a part of war damages compensation.
A bridge is a structure built to span physical obstacles without closing the way underneath such as a body of water, valley, or road, for the purpose of providing passage over the obstacle. There are many different designs that each serve a particular purpose and apply to different situations. Designs of bridges vary depending on the function of the bridge, the nature of the terrain where the bridge is constructed and anchored, the material used to make it, and the funds available to build it.
The Oxford English Dictionary traces the origin of the word bridge to an Old English word brycg, of the same meaning. The word can be traced directly back to Proto-Indo-European *bʰrēw-. The word for the card game of the same name has a different origin.
The first bridges made by humans were probably spans of cut wooden logs or planks and eventually stones, using a simple support and crossbeam arrangement. Some early Americans used trees or bamboo poles to cross small caverns or wells to get from one place to another. A common form of lashing sticks, logs, and deciduous branches together involved the use of long reeds or other harvested fibers woven together to form a connective rope capable of binding and holding together the materials used in early bridges.
Liberty, in philosophy, involves free will as contrasted with determinism. In politics, liberty consists of the social and political freedoms enjoyed by all citizens. In theology, liberty is freedom from the bondage of sin. Generally, liberty seems to be distinct from freedom in that freedom concerns itself primarily, if not exclusively, with the ability to do as one wills and what one has the power to do; whereas liberty also takes into account the rights of all involved. As such, liberty can be thought of as freedom limited by rights, and therefore cannot be abused.
Philosophers from earliest times have considered the question of liberty. Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius (121–180 AD) wrote of "a polity in which there is the same law for all, a polity administered with regard to equal rights and equal freedom of speech, and the idea of a kingly government which respects most of all the freedom of the governed." According to Thomas Hobbes, "a free man is he that in those things which by his strength and wit he is able to do is not hindered to do what he hath the will to do" (Leviathan, Part 2, Ch. XXI).
The Escapists is a puzzle role-playing video game played from a top-down perspective. The game was developed by Mouldy Toof Studios and following a Steam Early Access release in 2014, was released in 2015 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Players assume the role of an inmate and must escape from prisons of increasing difficulty. Reviews were generally favourable, praising the freedom of approach the game offered players, yet some were frustrated by the trial-and-error approach required to learn its systems.
Players assume the role of an inmate whose goal is to escape prison. Players may acquire various tools to aid in their escape, by crafting them, bartering for them from other inmates, or by stealing them. Players can complete tasks for fellow inmates to improve their standing among them. Engaging in activities like exercise and study allows players to level up their characters, improving their abilities and their chance of escape. Players must avoid discovery by the prison guards, and so must follow the prison's daily routines, such eating prison meals. Players must be careful to hide their tools, as guards will periodically search the inmates' cells. If caught, the player is sent into solitary confinement, and their progress with the escape is reset. There are a number of escape methods including inciting riots, via vents, roof escape, among others.

Okay. I was cruising the internet looking for a good game to play for my next playthrough. I stumbled across this one. All the description said was that it is short, and emotional. I decided to check it out. I originally recorded this with full commentary, but once I was finished, It really struck me. I decided to only leave in the actual game, so you guys could share the same experience. I'm sorry if this puts a damper on your day. I'll get right back to my regular funny commentary in no time (: Link: http://www.necessarygames.com/my-games/freedom-bridge/flash

This has now topped my list for the best tour i've ever done travelling. To catch a glimpse of one of the most untouched and unknown countries on the planet was an incredible experience. This trip could have been cancelled at any point, if there was any uncertainty for our safety. Although filming was prohibited for the majority of the trip (views of propaganda village, North Korean flag pole etc) I caught as much insight as possible and hopefully you will see why this is a must visit!
Bridge to Freedom (1965): Opens with the 1965 march from Selma to Montgomery and explores the drive to make voting rights a national issue, examining ideological differences within the movement and the passage of the Voting Rights Act.
Join me for a walk across the Szabadság híd, or Freedom Bridge in Budapest on a beautiful summer's night.

It's kindof sad to leave the prison right after we gained full control of the prison, but there's nothing sweeter than freedom! We use the roof to get out of the prison proper and then we just walk off to our new life sitting on a beach. Freedom Bridge was the main access to the JSA-Panmunjom areas up till 1998, when the Unification Bridge open! For many of us DMZ Veterans, it brings in a meaning that most don't know or understand! Wooden planks, gunshot holes, guarded, ready to blow up, and one lane bridge; handled ALL the traffic to in and out of the Panmunjom area for 45 years! When you crossed this Bridge, you were in the Zone, DMZ Zone that is. Korean DMZ Vets https://www.facebook.com/groups/Korean.DMZ.Vets/

Part 6) Bridge to Freedom 1965 chronicles efforts to restore voting rights in Selma, Alabama during the Selma to Montgomery marches.
Tom Blake (Author of the Shield and the Storm Book)(Editor of the German American Magazine) took a walk into Babelsburg and Potsdam....then across Freedom Bridge with 2 year old Erin Rafferty and Michael Rafferty (Former MP of Checkpoint Charlie)
Amy was a waitress at The Fire Street Grill
Up route 611 she was slaving for the pill
Oxy's got her pupils pinned up
A junkie centerfold
With grey hairs and a death wish
She was 22 years old
Had it all
Took the fall
Had it all
Took the fall
Specialist Jeg, a much more honest man than you
Came back from the desert where he never found the truth
Now he screeches tires, fills his head with alcohol
While the morbid brown faces hang like portraits on the wall
Had it all
He took the fall
Had it all
They took it all
Something happened on the way to hell,
The new guard they took my sister
Something happened on the way to hell,
The old guard they took my brother away
Something happened on the way to hell,
The same greed it took our parents
Something happened on the way to hell,
The west wall it took us with it
McTiernan was a good ol' boy, he cheated and he skimmed
"A favor for a favor, it can't be called a sin"
Some may see it different, and some don't see at all
When the papers started calling he closed his eyes and took the fall
Had it all
Took the fall
Had it all
Took the fall
Now we're standing on the ledge
And we're looking at the ground
I feel my body breaking on the asphalt, hear the sound
Red and blue lights screaming saying,
"Step up off that ledge"
So we wrap our hearts up in our heads
And take the fall instead
Had it all
Took the fall
Had it all
Took the fall
Something happened on the way to hell,
The new guard they took my sister
Something happened on the way to hell,
The old guard they took my brother away
Something happened on the way to hell,
The same greed it took our parents
Something happened on the way to hell,
The west wall it took us with it
Something happened on the way to hell,
