I review the popular Nikon D800. Is this 36 megapixel DSLR worth all of the hype? For the price, image resolution and crop ability...YES! For a fraction of the cost to the newer Nikon D810, you can grab the 800. Fact is, most of the specs are the same. Yes the D810 is a bit newer, faster af and a little better video but it even has the similar build and fps as the D800. The Nikon D800 is well worth checking out in 2016.

I'm really excited to have reviewed both with Canon 5D Mark III and the D800. I have been shooting with both of these camera for awhile and have been taking them both everywhere I go trying them in side by side in different lighting conditions, cloudy, mixed lighting, extreme low light, swimming pools, silhouettes, even time lapses, comparing skin tones, slow motion, landscapes, and pictures styles, and I think I have found some interesting stuff about these cameras that no one else is talking about.
I've been wanting to buy a full frame camera for awhile now and I have waiting for the Canon 5D Mark III to come out, but now that Nikon has step up their game on the video side of things, there are two cameras to consider now. Are you an amateur like me wanting to step up to a full frame? In this video comparison I will be talking about this from the amateur level This is by far my most thorough comparison I have ever done since I will be buying one of these cameras.
First off, both have pluses and minuses, they are both full frame, have dual card slots SD and CF, 100 view finder coverage, weather sealed body, both have a somewhat similar Continuous Shoot Speed, both have excellent auto focus systems, and both now have new headphone jacks.

Nikon has finally announced the long awaited D800 FULL FRAME CAMERA. This thing is a monster for its price tage of $2,999.95. Though it is a monster it does have a few things missing that I wish it had. Be sure to check out the video below to get my full take on who this camera is for, will I be getting one as well as any other information you are looking for.
By the way there are two models of this camera, the D800 and the D800E which has no low-pass filter.

Nikon D800
The Nikon D800 is a 36.3-megapixel professional-grade full-frame digital single-lens reflex camera produced by Nikon Corporation. It was given a Gold Award by Digital Photography Review.
It was officially announced on February 7, 2012 and went on sale in late March 2012 for the suggested retail price of $2999.95 in the U.S., £2399 in the UK, and €2892 in the Eurozone. Shortly after the camera went on sale, Nikon's UK subsidiary increased the price of the D800 in that market by £200 to £2599, saying that the original price was due to an "internal systems error". However, Nikon honored the original price for all pre-orders placed before March 24, and added that no price changes would be made in other markets.
The successor is the Nikon D810 - announced June 26, 2014.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III
The Canon EOS 5D Mark III is a professional full-frame digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera made by Canon. It has a 22.3 megapixel CMOS image sensor.
Succeeding the EOS 5D Mark II, it was announced on 2 March 2012, the 25th anniversary of the announcement of the first camera in the EOS line, the EOS 650. It was also Canon's 75th anniversary. The Mark III went on sale later in March with a retail price of $3,499 in the US, £2999 in the UK, and €3569 in the Eurozone.

I'm really excited to have reviewed both with Canon 5D Mark III and the D800. I have been shooting with both of these camera for awhile and have been taking them both everywhere I go trying them in side by side in different lighting conditions, cloudy, mixed lighting, extreme low light, swimming pools, silhouettes, even time lapses, comparing skin tones, slow motion, landscapes, and pictures styles, and I think I have found some interesting stuff about these cameras that no one else is talking about.
I've been wanting to buy a full frame camera for awhile now and I have waiting for the Canon 5D Mark III to come out, but now that Nikon has step up their game on the video side of things, there are two cameras to consider now. Are you an amateur like me wanting to step up to a full frame? In this video comparison I will be talking about this from the amateur level This is by far my most thorough comparison I have ever done since I will be buying one of these cameras.
First off, both have pluses and minuses, they are both full frame, have dual card slots SD and CF, 100 view finder coverage, weather sealed body, both have a somewhat similar Continuous Shoot Speed, both have excellent auto focus systems, and both now have new headphone jacks.

Nikon has finally announced the long awaited D800 FULL FRAME CAMERA. This thing is a monster for its price tage of $2,999.95. Though it is a monster it does have a few things missing that I wish it had. Be sure to check out the video below to get my full take on who this camera is for, will I be getting one as well as any other information you are looking for.
By the way there are two models of this camera, the D800 and the D800E which has no low-pass filter.
