Richard Elliot(t) may refer to:
Richard Elliott is the principal organist of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Elliott originally planned to become a studio musician and studied organ as part of this goal. However after joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he decided to change his goals. After studies at the preparatory division of the Peabody Conservatory and the Catholic University of America, he received a bachelor's degree from the Curtis Institute of Music while also serving as an assistant organist for the Wanamaker Organ. After receiving MM and DMA degrees from the Eastman School of Music, he became a professor of music at Brigham Young University. He was appointed a tabernacle organist at the retirement of Robert Cundick in 1991. In addition to accompanying the choir and giving recitals at Temple Square, Elliott has recorded many organ pieces with various labels and occasionally gives organ recitals at various locations across the United States. Several of Elliott's arrangements for organ have been published, many by Jackman Music.

Genres: Drama,I followed him, in a long black car,
In a long line of cars, we headed into the stars
We never played the game, we only headed on down the line
And though he always left with her, still i knew that he was mine
But i know that i will never see him again
We never looked back, but we never looked ahead
So it hit me like a heart attack, when i found out he was...
And it was a summer day, but the leaves fell on the ground
And the children remained at play, but they did so without a sound
And i know that he will never be there again
I know the sun turns around the earth
They say otherwise, but the truth hurts
And it was a long time ago, when he ran into his mother's arms
And she held him oh so close,
And she promised he would never come to harm
But i know that she will never hold him again
I've come just to say good-bye my friend
