Students from St Andrew's College in Christchurch made this lipdub video. The idea was pitched by student head of television Blake Morgan and widely supported by students and staff at the College. Filmed in one day, with only one or two takes for each section, almost every student in the school was involved. The video was edited and produced by students from the college's tv and film academy with thanks also to Al Tie with his work on the steadi-cam. Thanks also to the year 13 media class, Craig Lough, Dave Jensen, HOD Media Simon Williams and all the staff and students who helped make it happen.

Following on from her infectious and highly acclaimed debut, sublimely soulful vocalist Stac returns with a host of remixes from a selection of producers all at the top of their game. This is the first of two remix projects (the second to be released in February 2011) featuring a stellar line up who've been queuing up to add their stamp to Stac's trademark vocals.

The debut album from off-kilter, soulful songstress Stac is a unique blend of intoxicating harmonies, stunning live instrumentation and intricate songwriting that belies young Stacey Dowdeswell's years.
"Turn That Light Out" takes its influences from classic soul, folk, reggae, acoustic and South American sounds, utilizing as it does a line-up that includes much lauded Mancunian jazz trumpeter Matthew Halsall, Hackney Colliery Band trombonist Magnus Dearness, strings courtesy of The Heritage Orchestra string section, former member of Brighton outfit The Hat, Dan Clark (on harp and double-bass), Part-Time Heroes pianist Stephen McCleery, a twelve strong choir, and as if that wasn't enough Stac is joined by label mate and producer of the album Adam Scrimshire on guitar, and the whole album is engineered and executive produced by none other than Nostalgia 77! Blimey, not a bad line-up we're sure you'll agree.
"Turn That Light Out" is an honest and evocative collection of songs from a young lady who has a unique vocal and song-writing talent, and with the help of some of her coolest friends, has created something very special indeed.

Andrew the Apostle
Andrew the Apostle (Greek: Ἀνδρέας, Andreas; from the early 1st century – mid to late 1st century AD), also known as Saint Andrew and called in the Orthodox tradition Prōtoklētos (Πρωτόκλητος) or the First-called, was a Christian Apostle and the elder brother of Saint Peter.
The name "Andrew" (Greek: manly, brave, from ἀνδρεία, Andreia, "manhood, valour"), like other Greek names, appears to have been common among the Jews, Christians, and other Hellenized people of the region. No Hebrew or Aramaic name is recorded for him. According to Orthodox tradition, the apostolic successor to Saint Andrew is Patriarch Bartholomew I.
Life
The New Testament states that Andrew was the brother of Simon Peter, by which it is inferred that he was likewise a son of John, or Jonah. He was born in the village of Bethsaida on the Sea of Galilee. Both he and his brother Peter were fishermen by trade, hence the tradition that Jesus called them to be his disciples by saying that he will make them "fishers of men" (Greek: ἁλιεῖς ἀνθρώπων, halieĩs anthrōpōn). At the beginning of Jesus' public life, they were said to have occupied the same house at Capernaum.

Students from St Andrew's College in Christchurch made this lipdub video. The idea was pitched by student head of television Blake Morgan and widely supported by students and staff at the College. Filmed in one day, with only one or two takes for each section, almost every student in the school was involved. The video was edited and produced by students from the college's tv and film academy with thanks also to Al Tie with his work on the steadi-cam. Thanks also to the year 13 media class, Craig Lough, Dave Jensen, HOD Media Simon Williams and all the staff and students who helped make it happen.

"Turn That Light Out" takes its influences from classic soul, folk, reggae, acoustic and South American sounds, utilizing as it does a line-up that includes much lauded Mancunian jazz trumpeter Matthew Halsall, Hackney Colliery Band trombonist Magnus Dearness, strings courtesy of The Heritage Orchestra string section, former member of Brighton outfit The Hat, Dan Clark (on harp and double-bass), Part-Time Heroes pianist Stephen McCleery, a twelve strong choir, and as if that wasn't enough Stac is joined by label mate and producer of the album Adam Scrimshire on guitar, and the whole album is engineered and executive produced by none other than Nostalgia 77! Blimey, not a bad line-up we're sure you'll agree.
"Turn That Light Out" is an honest and evocative collection of songs from a young lady who has a unique vocal and song-writing talent, and with the help of some of her coolest friends, has created something very special indeed.

Nelson College made the trip to Christchurch and looked like returning home with a win leading 35-14 at halftime.StAC stormed back to win 43-42 with a try in the final minute for a second straight top four scalp, after beating Christ's College last week. It was a wild weekend in round 14 of the UC rugby championships. Six of the seven matches had the lower ranked team claim an upset. Three of the top four couldn't secure wins but despite going down to Nelson College Timaru Boys' maintained top spot ... Christ's led 7-3 at halftime but StAC fought back to lead 16-7. Christ's kicked a penalty to close the gap but with time up StAC kicked a fourth penalty to seal the win ... Ad Feedback....
