Haley Reinhart

Everybody knows Haley Reinhart, she is the beautiful talented young lady who should have won American Idol but maybe she is better of by not doing same. I followed her that season and she could sing absolutely anything, and she did.
But since that time she has been going great guns, releasing a couple of albums. The second album “Better” was released two months ago and has been top of my playlist since.
Haley has also made some killer videos with Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox, always great songs, always great performances.

So my idea here is to get a group of my favorites together and hopefully they could become your favorites too.

The incredible Haley Reinhart is back in her 8th Postmodern Jukebox video ~ a stunning orchestral remake of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun.” Her voice is truly out of this world.

The Band:
Haley Reinhart – vocals
Artyom Manukyan – cello
Desiree Hazley – violin
Lauren Baba – viola
Jonathan Richards – bass
Martin Diller – drums
Scott Bradlee – piano

If you were to go back to my old blog and search for “Creep” you would find many many versions of it. It is one of my all time favorite songs. And Haley’s version ranks right up there.

One of the highlights of our recent European tour was Haley Reinhart’s masterful interpretation of our vintage arrangement of Radiohead’s “Creep” (originally performed on this channel by the amazing Karen Marie). I enjoyed it so much that I brought Haley into a studio in Zurich on our day off to record it. If you haven’t heard Haley sing this before, get ready for a truly remarkable performance. Oh yeah- and this was the very first take. [Scott Bradlee]

Next up another favorite song. Performed in a Vintage Vaudeville Style where Haley Reinhart joins Puddles Pity Party for a beautiful rendition.

Now this one is a gem, take the vintage Britney Spears’ “Oops!… I Did It Again” re-arrange it to suit the style of vintage Marilyn Monroe and let Haley Reinhart loose on it. Whamo it’s bitchin’.

The amazing Haley Reinhart returned to transform one of the ’90s biggest hits into one of the ’40s biggest hits in this Sinatra-esque, big band-plus harp remake of The Cardigans’ “Lovefool.”
