The Atlanta Braves are an American professional baseball franchise based in Atlanta since 1966, after having originated and played for many decades in Boston and then having subsequently played in Milwaukee for a little more than a decade. The team is a member of the East division of the National League (NL) in Major League Baseball (MLB). The Braves have played home games at Turner Field since 1997, and play spring training games in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. In 2017, the team is to move to SunTrust Park, a new stadium complex in the Cumberland district of Cobb County just north of the I-285 bypass.
The "Braves" name, which was first used in 1912, originates from a term for an Indian warrior. They are nicknamed "the Bravos", and often referred to as "America's Team" in reference to the team's games being broadcast on the nationally available TBS from the 1970s until 2007, giving the team a nationwide fan base.
From 1991 to 2005 the Braves were one of the most successful franchises in baseball, winning division titles an unprecedented 14 consecutive times in that period (omitting the strike-shortened 1994 season in which there were no official division champions). The Braves won the NL West 1991–93 and the NL East 1995–2005, and they returned to the playoffs as the National League Wild Card in 2010. The Braves advanced to the World Series five times in the 1990s, winning the title in 1995. Since their debut in the National League in 1876, the franchise has won 16 divisional titles, 17 National League pennants, and three World Series championships—in 1914 as the Boston Braves, in 1957 as the Milwaukee Braves, and in 1995 in Atlanta. The Braves are the only Major League Baseball franchise to have won the World Series in three different home cities.
Atlanta is the capital of and the most populous city in the U.S. state of Georgia, with an estimated 2013 population of 447,841. Atlanta is the cultural and economic center of the Atlanta metropolitan area, home to 5,522,942 people and the ninth largest metropolitan area in the United States. Atlanta is the county seat of Fulton County, and a small portion of the city extends eastward into DeKalb County.
Atlanta was established in 1837 at the intersection of two railroad lines, and the city rose from the ashes of the American Civil War to become a national center of commerce. In the decades following the Civil Rights Movement, during which the city earned a reputation as "too busy to hate" for the progressive views of its citizens and leaders, Atlanta attained international prominence. Atlanta is the primary transportation hub of the Southeastern United States, via highway, railroad, and air, with Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport being the world's busiest airport since 1998.
The World Series is the annual championship series of Major League Baseball (MLB) in North America, contested since 1903 between the American League (AL) champion team and the National League (NL) champion. Prior to 1969, the team with the best win-loss record in each league automatically advanced to the World Series; since then each league has conducted a championship series (ALCS and NLCS) preceding the World Series to determine which teams will advance. As of 2015, the World Series has been contested 111 times, with the AL winning 64 and the NL winning 47. The winner of the World Series championship is determined through a best-of-seven playoff and the winning team is awarded the Commissioner's Trophy. As the series is played in October (and occasionally November), during the autumn season in North America, it is often referred to as the Fall Classic.
The 2015 World Series took place between the New York Mets and the victorious Kansas City Royals. Five games were played, with the Royals victorious after game five, played in New York. The final score was 7-2; the game went into extra innings after a tied score of 2-2. This was the second World Series won by the franchise and the first in 30 years.

The Atlanta Braves played their first game at SunTrust Park on Friday with an exhibition against the New York Yankees.
Cleveland Indians 0 at Atlanta Braves 1, F -- After losing the 1991 and 1992 World Series, as well as the 1993 NLCS, the Braves (seemingly dubbed "The Team of the 90s" just a tad bit too early) finally put it all together in 1995. Tom Glavine was masterful, allowing just one hit and three walks over eight shutout innings, with Mark Wohlers working the ninth for the save. David Justice provided all the offense Atlanta needs with a sixth-inning solo shot off Jim Poole.

MLB:ATL (アトランタ・ブレーブス / 亞特蘭大勇士 / 애틀랜타 브레이브스). Unofficial. Clips from 2010-2014. This is not a series of "fails" designed to invoke laughter at those far more successful than I'll ever be; it's a celebration of the peculiarities of the greatest game ever invented. The videos are organized by team: please don't consider this a jab at the Barves any more than a TV blooper real is at its respective sitcom. Relax! These satirical mashups are not monetized. We had another amazing opportunity to work with Aaron Chewning on another Braves music video. The video has gotten a lot of love over at Aaron's youtube channel so you should go check it out over there and leave a comment http://www.youtube.com/user/AaronChewning?feature=watch! We are especially proud of color the whole piece in camera to mimic the look of the "Blurred Lines" music video. We did this to cut down on post time as well as challenging ourselves with a new technique. As always we had a blast and hope you enjoy. Blue Sky Agency Art Director Zach Silverman came up with the idea of referencing the 1964 classic claymation program "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" to create a Christmas story for the Braves. After designing the characters in 2D, we began building them in Cinema 4D. The textures seen here are from actual doll clothes and action figure outfits. We photographed the details, compositied them as needed and applied them to the characters in 3D. It was a blast to work on, and it gave us a chance to flex our i...
