The serval /ˈsɜːrvəl/ (Leptailurus serval) is a medium-sized African wild cat native to sub-Saharan Africa. As it is considered common and widely distributed, it has been listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List since 2002.
Results of DNA studies indicate that the serval is closely related to the African golden cat and the caracal.
The serval is a medium-sized cat, measuring 59 to 92 cm (23 to 36 in) in head-body length, with a relatively short tail, 20 to 45 cm (7.9 to 17.7 in), and a shoulder height of about 54 to 66 cm (21 to 26 in). The serval is well-adapted for detecting and capturing small animals such as rodents in long grass. A strong yet slender animal, it has the longest legs of any cat, relative to body size. Most of this increase in length is due to the greatly elongated metatarsal bones in the feet. The toes are also elongated, and unusually mobile. The head is small in relation to the body. Another distinctive feature of the serval is the presence of large ears and auditory bullae in the skull, indicating a particularly acute sense of hearing. The closely set ears contain 22 muscles each, allowing them to rotate up to 180 degrees independently of each other. Weight ranges from about 7 to 12 kg (15 to 26 lb) in females, and from 9 to 18 kg (20 to 40 lb) in males.
Nat Geo Wild (stylized as Nat Geo WILD or abbreviated as NGW) is a cable/satellite TV channel focused primarily on wildlife and natural history programming. It is a sister network to National Geographic Channel and it is the latest channel to be jointly launched by the National Geographic Society and Fox Cable Networks.
It first launched in Hong Kong on January 1, 2006. The channel later launched in the United Kingdom, Turkey, Ireland, Romania, India, Vietnam, and Poland replacing the now defunct Adventure One. The channel remains the world's first bilingual wildlife service, available in English and Cantonese in the Hong Kong market as well as Tagalog in The Philippines. The channel launched in Latin America on November 1, 2009 as a high definition channel. In 2010, it launched in the United States.
As of February 2015, approximately 57,891,000 American households (49.7% of households with television) receive Nat Geo Wild.
The channel launched in South Africa in mid-2009, and is available on the South African Satellite Network DSTV.
National Geographic or NatGeo may refer to:
Four square, also known as downball, squareball, blockball, boxball, champ or king's square, is a ball game played among four players on a square court divided into quadrants. It is a popular game at elementary schools with little required equipment, almost no setup, and short rounds of play that can be ended at any time.
Four square is usually played with a rubber playground ball, on a square court with four maximum players. The objectives of four square are to eliminate other players to achieve the highest rank.
Four square is played on any hard-surfaced court, such as wood, concrete or asphalt. There is no official court size, but typically courts measure between 10 to 20 feet on a side, and divided into four smaller equal-size squares. Each of the four squares has a rank and is occupied by a single player. The ranks may be arranged so that either the highest ranking square is positioned facing the lowest ranking square, or the ranks increase as one moves clockwise (or counterclockwise).
The no symbol (also known as a prohibition sign, no sign, circle-backslash symbol, nay, interdictory circle, or universal no) is a circle with a diagonal line through it (running from top left to bottom right), surrounding a pictogram used to indicate something is not permitted. The no symbol is generally colored red, but is sometimes another color, typically black.
The Unicode code point for the prohibition sign (also called the no symbol) is U+20E0;
, Combining Enclosing Circle Backslash ( ⃠ ). It is a combining character, which means that it appears on top of the character before it, so putting d⃠ will show d⃠. (Note: This will appear only if the character exists in an available font.) It also appears in the Webdings and Wingdings 2 fonts.
There is also a prohibition sign emoji located at U+1F6AB NO ENTRY SIGN
(🚫), which does not combine with anything.
According to the ISO standard (and also under a UK Statutory Instrument), the red area must take up at least 35% of the total area of the sign within the outer circumference of the "prohibition sign". So 35% of everything within the outer edge of the "no symbol" must be the symbol itself. Additionally, for printed signs under the UK rules, the width of a "no symbol" is set at 80% the height of the area it is printed to.

This is when he is about 18 months old. Zeus is a domesticated Serval which means it is different than the Servals living in the wild in Africa. Even though these cats have the same DNA and look the same there are some differences. A Domesticated Serval has been domestically bred in captivity for multiple generations going back to the 1960's. None of the Serval cats you see in homes today were taken out of the wild. They have all been hand raised for years in loving homes. It does take a special educated open minded and patient animal person to own a Serval. A serval is a medium sized African speci...

CHECK OUT ZEUS'S FACEBOOK PAGE FOR NEW AND UNSEEN VIDEOS!! https://www.facebook.com/ZeusTheServal Zeus The Serval is 2 1/2 years old. Hera The Savannah is 5 months old. This isn't actually the first time Zeus and Hera have come into contact. Over the past few months I have held Hera while introducing her and Zeus slowly so they can sniff each other. I have also put Zeus into Hera's room multiple times and let him sniff her bed and litter pan. They also play 'footsies' underneath my bedroom door. This is the first time I have let Hera go without holding her and as you can see in the video, I talk to Zeus in a calm voice (Sometimes higher pitched) to remind him that everything is okay, that he is doing good and theres nothing to be scared of (Servals are scardy cats) He did wonderfull...
