Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) is a privately owned company that was founded in the US in 1988 by Howard Rachinski, who is the President/CEO. CCLI was launched after being developed by Rachinski for 3½ years while he was a Music Minister at a large church in Portland, Oregon. This prototype, called Starpraise Ministries, began in May 1985. CCLI offers copyright licensing of songs and other resource materials for use in Christian worship.
Since its foundation, CCLI has expanded around the world to Australia, Botswana, Canada, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Africa, Swaziland, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and Zimbabwe.
The scheme of copyright solution invented by CCLI has been cited by the governments of United States and official copyright organization in United Kingdom when introducing the relevant policy.
This scheme of copyright license is not suitable to personal usage and also opposition view is heard regarding its for profit mode.
Joel Timothy Houston (born 19 September 1979) is a musician, songwriter, pastor, and leader in the Sydney-based band Hillsong United, the youth worship band of Hillsong Church.
He has been co-pastor at Hillsong NYC since 2010. He is the head of the Christian worship band Hillsong UNITED, for which he sings, plays guitar, and writes songs. In 2008, he became the Creative Director at Hillsong Church. He is the oldest son of the church's Senior Pastors and founders Brian and Bobbie Houston and grandson of Frank Houston (who was the Senior Pastor of Sydney Christian Life Centre which is now the City venue of Hillsong Church). He has two siblings, a brother Benjamin and a sister, Laura. Houston was also the bass player for the band Able, which was composed of Marty Sampson, Michael Guy Chislett and Luke Munns, which won the Channel V Leg Up competition in 2001.
Houston wanted to play the piano at the age of seven and his parents told him he wasn't good and so after his discouragement changed to the bass guitar.
Larry Stevens "Steven" Furtick Jr. (born February 19, 1980) is the Lead Pastor of Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the author of three books, Sun Stand Still and the two New York Times bestselling releases, Greater and "Crash the Chatterbox".
Furtick was born and raised in Moncks Corner, South Carolina and attended Berkeley High School. At the age of 16, after reading the book Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala, he "felt called to pastor a church in a major city". Furtick received a B.A. in Communications from North Greenville University and a Masters of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
After serving as music director at a local church in Shelby, North Carolina, Furtick moved to Charlotte and started Elevation Church. The church had their first service on February 5, 2006.
Furtick has seen the church grow to over 18,000 in regular attendance, currently meeting in ten different locations, the most recent being in Cornelius, North Carolina. Elevation was cited by Outreach Magazine as one of the Top 100 fastest growing churches in the country every year since 2007.
Songwriter and worship leader Noel Robinson gives a brief introduction to CCLI.
The federal copyright law requires you to first get permission from the song owner before you can copy any song words or music. The CCLI license allows you to make copies from over 200,000 songs including todays most popular worship songs. By copy we mean any duplication of song words or musicsuch as printing the lyrics in the bulletin or on song sheets, storing lyrics in a computer so you can project them on a screen, photocopying from a hymnal, or recording music during your service. When recording your worship service, this also includes recording the choir, specials and offertories. The license also covers the making of customized arrangements for congregational use when no published version is available. Songs are to be copied for the purpose of assisting in congregational ...

This was the 21st year of the Cesar Chavez Leadership Institute, and since I took a bunch of videos I edited all of them together for mi familia's enjoyment! To anyone who went to CCLI this year, feel free to hit me up anytime; I'm here for you!
The most accurate way to determine if a song is covered is to search by the copyright owner. To search by copyright owner, you first need to locate the copyright information for your song. This is usually found at the bottom of your songsheet or in the CD liner notes. The copyright notice will show the name of the copyright owner. This could be a publisher, a catalog, OR an individual songwriter. Once youve determined the copyright owner, you can use our Song Search on the Support page. Simply type in the name of the copyright owner. If it appears in our search results, your song is covered. Now we understand that there might be some cases where you need to search by song. For example you heard a song on the radio and you dont have the copyright information. If the song appears in our sear...
"Our worship team wants to record a CD of the songs we typically sing on a Sunday morning, and I’ve heard that our CCLI license covers making an audio recording. Can we make a CD using our CCLI license?” That’s a pretty common question I hear from worship teams, and while it’s true that you can record the songs you perform on a Sunday, that’s not the intended purpose for the coverage. There’s a better (and easy) way to properly record a CD of the worship team and license the songs. This video covers: 1. What is CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International)? 2. The limitations of recording a CD of your worship songs under a CCLI license 3. What is a mechanical license and who is the Harry Fox Agency? 4. The current rate for a mechanical license 5. How to obtain a mechanical license o...

I just hung up the phone
I was talking to you
We said good bye
I sat down and cry
Coz' I remembered the things
That we've done
When we were sitting together
And our love has begun
For more and more
I want to go back in time
I'll always love you
I hope you know
But on and on
I need to wait
Chorus:
7 1/2 years that was our pact
7 1/2 years there is no turning back
7 1/2 years till I get to see you again
I am looking at the pictures
Of me and you
Both of us were smiling
For this damn photo-shoot
That was the day when it all began
But all I want to now
Is to see you again
For more and more
I want to go back in time
I'll always love you
I hope you know
But on and on
I need to wait
