Monty Python's Life of Brian, also known as Life of Brian, is a 1979 British comedy film starring and written by the comedy group Monty Python (Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin). It was also directed by Jones. The film tells the story of Brian Cohen (played by Chapman), a young Jewish man who is born on the same day as, and next door to, Jesus Christ, and is subsequently mistaken for the Messiah.
Following the withdrawal of funding by EMI Films, longtime Monty Python fan and former member of the Beatles, George Harrison, arranged financing for Life of Brian through the formation of his company HandMade Films.
The film contains themes of religious satire that were controversial at the time of its release, drawing accusations of blasphemy, and protests from some religious groups. Thirty-nine local authorities in the UK either imposed an outright ban, or imposed an X (18 years) certificate, effectively preventing the film from being shown, since the distributors said it could not be shown unless it was unedited and carried the original AA (14) certificate. Some countries, including Ireland and Norway, banned its showing, with a few of these bans lasting decades. The filmmakers used such notoriety to benefit their marketing campaign, with posters in Sweden reading "So funny, it was banned in Norway!"

The full debate from "Friday Night, Saturday Morning", 9th November 1979. On the edition of 9 November 1979, hosted by Tim Rice, a discussion was held about the then-new film Monty Python's Life of Brian, which been banned by many local councils and caused protests throughout the world with accusations that it was blasphemous. To argue in favour of this accusation were broadcaster and noted Christian Malcolm Muggeridge and Mervyn Stockwood (the then Bishop of Southwark). In its defence were two members of the Monty Python team, John Cleese and Michael Palin. The first part is an interview with Cleese and Palin, the actual debate starts 3 minutes into part 2.
The scene where the guards laugh their a** off infront of Pilate.
The Crucifixion skit from Monty Python and the Life of Brian I do not own any of this material it's all courtesy of Monty Python at www.youtube.com/MontyPython . I only upload these videos because i'm tired of all the shitty quality ones on youtube.

He was a f*cking little c*nt, just a stinking little runt
I see his kind is all the same, he only did it cause of fame, who?
Ian Stewart, Ian Stewart, Ian Stewart (?)
He thought he had the suss, but he did not fool us
We know he was just sick, he didn't even have a prick, who?
Ian Stewart, Ian Stewart, Ian Stewart (?)
He would have been crucified, and that's why he never died
and now he rides again, will he ever get ahead? Never, ever, ever...
I thought that he was faking, but he was just money-making
You do not believe he was for real, or else he'd lose his cheap appeal
You can't judge a man by his smell, or the color of his face as well
Ian Stewart, Ian Stewart, Ian Stewart (?)
On with a lovely performance, and when he pulls the trigger on the gun (?)
