A bold new way to look at your health.

The all-new Health app has been redesigned to make it easier to learn about your health and start reaching your goals. It consolidates health data from iPhone, Apple Watch, and third-party apps you already use, so you can view all your progress in one convenient place. And it recommends other helpful apps to round out your collection — making it simpler than ever to move your health forward.

Four keys to a healthy life. Right at your fingertips.

When you open the Health app, you see four distinct categories: Activity, Sleep, Mindfulness, and Nutrition. Each plays an important role in your overall health — and in the app. Health suggests great apps from each category to get you going, and the Today view shows all your stats at a glance to help you stay on track. Once you start using the Health app, there’s no stopping you.

Track other important data, too.

Health makes it easy to keep tabs on a wide array of data that matters to you — from measurements of your blood pressure and blood glucose to records for your weight and reproductive health.

Life-changing ways to manage your health.

Medical ID

Create an emergency card that allows first responders to access your critical medical information from the Lock screen, without needing your passcode.

Organ donation sign-up

A single organ donor can save as many as eight lives. Make a big impact in just seconds by signing up for the Donate Life America registry directly from the Health app.

Health records

Save records from your healthcare provider in Health, so it’s easy to share things like immunizations and lab results with a new doctor or a family member at any time.

You are in charge of your data.

The Health app lets you keep all your health and fitness information under your control and in one place on your device. You decide which information is placed in Health and which apps can access your data through the Health app. When your phone is locked with a passcode or Touch ID, all of your health and fitness data in the Health app — other than what you’ve added to your Medical ID emergency card — is encrypted with your passcode. You can back up data stored in the Health app to iCloud, where it is encrypted while in transit and at rest. Apps that access HealthKit are required to have a privacy policy, so be sure to review these policies before providing apps with access to your health and fitness data.
