The company is known for its unique naming system and has other planes named such things as MOM, DAD, SIS, BRO, and KID. When asked if he worried that people may not want to fly around in a pink plane named GAY, the CEO explained “If I were worried or scared of what people might say about me or what I do, then WOW air wouldn't exist." 7- Free Massages – Air Malta definitely knows what passengers want – and gives it to them! Air Malta provides two professional therapists to help ease tension and the stress of flying with hand, feet and neck massages. The passengers just sit back, relax and enjoy relaxing music through head phones, while the massage therapists get to work. The massages are offered on flights between Gatwick and Malta and the airline says it’s just the beginning of services that will be offered to “enhance the customer’s experience.” 6- Hooters Air – We’re going to assume most passengers just flew this airline for wings, right? Though this airline is now out of business, the popular restaurant chain did try its hand at flight in 2003. Each flight on Hooters Air came fully equipped with two Hooters girls and flight attendants that entertained passengers with trivia games, sold Hooters merchandise, and assisted with beverage service. The inside and outside of the aircrafts also had a Hooters flair. Keeping with the chains traditional colors passengers had large blue leather seats to sit on, and it wasn’t hard to miss the blue and orange aircrafts with the Hooter’s owl on the tail. The airline eventually folded in 2006. 5- Cuddle Class – Airplane seats that can convert to couches or beds – sign us up! Air New Zealand started offering its passengers this perk in 2011. They call the seats “Skycouches” and they allow people to kick their feet up and relax with their loved ones. The Skycouch is a row of economy seats that can be turned into the couch for passengers to stretch out or to have a place for antsy children to spread out and play. 4- Virtual Reality Flight – This is definitely the coolest flight on our list. The Australian airline Qantas teamed up with Samsung in 2015 to begin offering passengers a virtual reality experience like no other on long flights. The virtual reality gear was available for first class passengers on flights in Sydney and Melbourne, and some flights from Australia to Los Angeles. The virtual reality equipment is produced with Oculus and operated using Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Qantas uses the experience to show off the airline’s destinations and services to passengers. 3- Art Gallery – If you’re a fan of art, you’ll love the Virgin Atlantic Upper-class flights between London and New York. The airline unveiled its first in-flight commercial art gallery in February 2013. Appropriately called the Gallery in the Air, the exhibit featured many typography-style works by Ben Eine. Prices for the pieces range between £2,500 to £15,000. This artists’ claim to fame is when David Cameron gave one of his pieces to President Obama as a gift during his first state visit to Washington. Passengers on board would take a virtual tour of the exhibit and could purchase pieces the same way you would purchase duty-free items. 2- Uber – Following the Uber trend, United Airlines got smart and started offering passengers the option of ordering up a ride through their mobile app. Allowing passengers to bypass the long airport taxi lines and hop right into a waiting vehicle, the app offers information such as types of vehicles available, estimated wait times and prices. Once the passenger has signed up for a ride on the United Airlines app, they are then directed to the Uber app to complete the transaction. Customers new to Uber were even rewarded with Mileage Plus award miles to promote the service. 1- Full VIP Service – The airline La Compagnie flies passengers from New York to Paris in style. The seats are massage chairs and recline back into beds. The food served on board is not your typical airplane food, the menu Michelin star worthy. And as if those perks weren’t enough, the airline provides Samsung entertainment tablets to each passengers. It’s hard not to feel like a VIP on board this flight. The only hitch, you’d better be a VIP to be able to afford this one-way transatlantic flight. The standard cost when the flight was launched was £1200 euro – or $1400.
