The dignity & autonomy of universities should be preserved so students can concentrate on becoming masters of the subjects they study.

I entirely support the statement of Smt @smritiirani that we should not make University students become part of political battlegrounds.

Next @mssrf developed techniques of biosaline #agriculture. This also involved establishment of a genetic garden of salt tolerant halophytes

The #MSSRF #sealevel rise adaptation strategy consists of 3 major elements, First, mangrove bioshields were protected & their areas enlarged

Anticipatory research on #climatechange is important since India has a large coastline & islands like Lakshadweep & Andaman-Nicobar Islands

In 1991, @MSSRF started an anticipatory research programme for #climate adaptation and mitigation with reference to #sealevelrise

A group of scientists from @RutgersU headed by Dr Robert Kopp have pointed out that there was 14 cm #sealevel rise between 1900 and 2000.
