for an amazing square slice from Prince St. Pizza.

"Prince Street Pizza bills itself as the Home of the Soho Square

There are four types of squares on the menu —
three Sicilians and one grandma.
Prince Street, as you may know, replaced Rays Pizza
(often considered the actual, original Rays).
It has taken over only half the space originally occupied by Rays—
the eastern half of 27 Prince, which was the take-out slice shop half.
The Spicy Spring ($3.75) at first looks a Prince Perfection with pepperoni, but this slice actually uses a fra diavolo sauce for the red stuff.
It's a bit spicier than its more staid menu mate but not in a way that's going to blow your cranium. It's a mild enough that the heat-averse should have no trouble with it.
It is a beautiful looking slice, too, with the pepperoni curling under the heat of the oven, and bits of grated cheese baked into the resulting meat cups."

Prince Street (BMT Broadway Line)
Prince Street is a local station on the BMT Broadway Line of the New York City Subway. It is served by the N train at all times, the R train at all times except late nights, and Q train during late nights. Each side platform contains a fare control area and there are no other exits nor any crossovers or crossunders to allow free transfers between opposite directions.
Station layout
Prince Street opened on September 4, 1917 as part of the first section of the BMT Broadway Line from Canal Street to 14th Street – Union Square.
In the late 1960s, New York City Transit extended the platforms for 10 car trains, and fixed the station's structure and the overall appearance. They replaced the original wall tiles, signs, and incandescent lighting with a 1970s style wall tile band and tablet mosaics, signs and fluorescent lights. It also fixed staircases and platform edges. In 2001, the station received a major overhaul. It included an upgrade of the station for ADA compliance and restoration of the original late 1910s tiling. New York City Transit repaired the staircases, re-tiled the walls, fitted new tiling on the floors, upgraded the station's lights and the public address system, installing ADA yellow safety threads along the platform edge, new signs, and new trackbeds in both directions.

In Hell
In Hell is a 2003 American prison action film directed by Ringo Lam, and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Lawrence Taylor. It is the third and final collaboration between Jean-Claude Van Damme and Hong Kong film director Ringo Lam.
Plot
Kyle LeBlanc (Van Damme) is an American working overseas in Russia. When he hears his wife being attacked over the phone, Kyle rushes home to find that he is too late. Kovich (Michail Elenov), the man who has killed his wife is found not guilty on lack of evidence (but in fact because the defense bought the judge). Kyle, therefore, takes the law into his own hands and kills Kovich to avenge his wife's death, and for this he is sentenced to life in prison without parole. He soon befriends inmate Billy Cooper (Chris Moir) , a 21-year-old who is subjected to constant rape and beatings by prison inmates (they are actually helped by the guards who lock him in cells with these prisoners during the night) and also Malakai, a wheelchair-bound prisoner who claims to know the ins and outs of prison life.

for an amazing square slice from Prince St. Pizza.

"Prince Street Pizza bills itself as the Home of the Soho Square

There are four types of squares on the menu —
three Sicilians and one grandma.
Prince Street, as you may know, replaced Rays Pizza
(often considered the actual, original Rays).
It has taken over only half the space originally occupied by Rays—
the eastern half of 27 Prince, which was the take-out slice shop half.
The Spicy Spring ($3.75) at first looks a Prince Perfection with pepperoni, but this slice actually uses a fra diavolo sauce for the red stuff.
It's a bit spicier than its more staid menu mate but not in a way that's going to blow your cranium. It's a mild enough that the heat-averse should have no trouble with it.
It is a beautiful looking slice, too, with the pepperoni curling under the heat of the oven, and bits of grated cheese baked into the resulting meat cups."

"Prince Street Pizza bills itself as the Home of the Soho Square

There are four types of squares on the menu —
three Sicilians and one grandma.
Prince Street, as you may know, replaced Rays Pizza
(often considered the actual, original Rays).
It has taken over only half the space originally occupied by Rays—
the eastern half of 27 Prince, which was the take-out slice shop half.
The Spicy Spring ($3.75) at first looks a Prince Perfection with pepperoni, but this slice actually uses a fra diavolo sauce for the red stuff.
It's a bit spicier than its more staid menu mate but not in a way that's going to blow your cranium. It's a mild enough that the heat-averse should have no trouble with it.
It is a beautiful looking slice, too, with the pepperoni curling under the heat of the oven, and bits of grated cheese baked into the resulting meat cups."

Traditionally, When you think of camping with your friends you picture a beach with a bonfire in the warm air of summer. This winter we decided to break tradition and do the opposite, to go against the grain and brave an entire winter inside of our small 24ft Ford Econoline Camper. The idea was simple, to take our mobile home around the province of British Columbia to document as many street spots as we could find.

In more than 600 cities around the world, there are homeless people working their way out of poverty. Every day, 14,000 vendors earn their own, dignified living. They sell street papers. From Glasgow to Tokyo and from Sydney to Cape Town, a unique social enterprise model is changing lives. But how does it work?
Vendors firstly buy their street papers for 50 per cent of the cover price. And then they sell them on. With the profit made from the first copy, the vendor can then buy two more. And two becomes four. And four becomes eight. And so on.
Like any entrepreneur, street paper vendors take a business risk -- and they work hard, come rain or shine. And the model works. Between them, homeless vendors make a profit of more than 40 million dollars a year.
Since the first street paper launched in 1989, the concept has expanded across the world. Today, there are more than 100 different titles in 40 countries. They are united by the International Network of Street Papers.
As one of the largest social enterprise networks in the world, INSP provides training and resources to existing street papers, and also helps to start up new ones. Between them, street papers sell 27 million copies each year.
Through INSP, a network of journalists work together to report on important stories. And 6 million global readers attract the attention of famous names, like Prince William and the Dalai Lama. Exclusive interviews create a huge boost in sales for tens of thousands of homeless vendors worldwide.
INSP also safeguards the sustainability of street papers -- through research and innovation. To take concept into 21st century, the network launched the world's first digital street paper. Customers buy an access code from their vendor, to read a digital edition on their smartphone, tablet or computer.
Whatever their format, the concept works. And INSP street papers -- and their vendors -- continue to inspire change.

Mani Nasry an exceptionally talented filmmaker, actor and artist with a sophisticated breadth of education, skills, experience, and professional accomplishments. He trained as an actor and director in New York with Salem Ludwig and with Donna DeMatteo for playwriting. For Mani, the decision to work in the film industry guided his academic decisions from an early age. He attended a Toronto high school renowned for excellence in the arts, and was accepted into one of the highly competitive film program at Ryerson university. It is notable that he went to Ryerson with an already well-established career in theatre, film, television and commercial work, and a range of multi-faceted achievements including producing, cinematography, casting, writing, directing, acting, and editing. On his own he added stints in New York and Los Angeles with leading acting teachers, as well as learning the grace and style of many forms of dance and athletics. With courses perceptively, he has also recognized the importance of acquiring an understanding of the business side of the industry, and the varied aspects of technology and production. There are some people clearly born to follow the path they have chosen from the start. Since its humble beginnings in a Brooklyn bunker in 1994, WordSound has distinguished itself as a unique and exceptional creative enterprise. Despite releasing 65 albums of uncompromising originality, diversity, and power, they remain far below the radar, even in our information age where the internet exposes everything.
In 2004, WordSound celebrated a decade as a Mighty Unseen Force in music with the DVD release of WS50: The Video Album, featuring The Greatest Thing You Never Heard, a “Dub”-umentary.
This film, like the label, is difficult to pin down. It’s as much a personal journey seen through the eyes of Skiz Fernando as it is a musical tribute to different styles and approaches. Skiz remains “The Eye” behind WordSound, churning out records by his
alter-ego Spectre, The Ill Saint; writing books (like 1994’s The New Beats: Exploring The Music, Culture & Attitudes of Hip-Hop) and making guerilla films armed with only a clear vision, sheer will, and cojones of steel.
Follow him as he bounces around space and time like a cosmic fly on the wall showcasing artists you never heard of like Mentol Nomad, Scotty Hard, Mr. Dead, Leon Lamont, MC Paul Barman, DJ KLOS, Spectre, Sensational, and Prince Charming--each representing different facets of the WordSound multiverse, where talent and a reverence for the artform runs deep. A couple of years ago Cold Harbour applied to perform at the annual St Kilda Festival. With three of the four members long-term residents in Port Phillip Council, the band was hopeful of finally securing a spot on the popular festival's bill. When the application was rejected and with suitable rock'n'roll venues south of the Yarra increasingly rare - the members of Cold Harbour decided to take matters into their own hands.
"We got a little bit frustrated trying to get gigs in our own town," says bass player Colin Holst. "So we decided to take a punt and do it DIY. We selected the bowling club, got some local bands to play. We got about 300 people for the first one, and just carried on from there."
The first Day By The Green was held in May 2010 at the St Kilda Bowling Club, opposite the corner of Fitzroy Street and Grey Street. "It's one of St Kilda's best kept secrets," comments Nick Haines, Cold Harbour's manager and one of the logistical protagonists behind Day By The Green. "And it's opposite the old Seaview Ballroom, which is beautiful, because it's a bit of a homage to the old St Kilda punk scene."
St Kilda Bowling Club was more than a convenient geographical location. Its manager ran The Petersham Inn in Sydney in the 1980s during the halcyon days of the Sydney independent music scene. "Duncan has been a huge supporter of what we do," Haines says. "We chose that venue because it's the last real St Kilda venue, now that The Greyhound has changed its format - we'll try and make something to replace it," Holst says. "The Bowling Club is an under utilised venue," says Cold Harbour guitarist Rusty Teluk.
The first proved to be a resounding success. "We thought if we got 100 it'd be good, but we more than doubled that," Holst says. "So there was obviously a demand from local people to see local music." The initial event included some important democratic - almost socialist - elements. "Each of the bands was told they'd be paid according to how many people turn up, and each of the bands was paid exactly the same amount," Holst says. "It didn't matter if you'd been playing for 30 years or three weeks," Teluk says.
Audience reaction was overwhelmingly positive. "There was a lady there who said to me 'I won't go to the Espy or the Prince of Wales, but I'll come to every one of these' and that says it all," Haines says. "Someone else said it was like being at the Prince in 1987 - a lot of faces they wouldn't normally see," Holst says. "It's a catch-up, too," observes Teluk. "People come down from the country - we've even had people flying in from interstate to see music and catch up with people."
This week marks the eighth Day By The Green, and the second year of the mini-festival. Headlined by Harry Howard & The NDE, Day By The Green will play host to another sterling line-up, including Billy Pommer Jr & The Guilty Plea, The Mercy Kills, Burn In Hell & Steve Lucas' of X fame, new outfit, Neon & Venom. So far, each of the bands featured at Day By The Green has had a tangible link with the south side of the Yarra. Ultimately Day By The Green is about reminding the world - and Melbourne in particular - that there is a vibrant rock'n'roll scene south of the Yarra. "We wanted to remind people that there is life in the St Kilda rock'n'roll scene, and there is - yet everyone else would whinge and say they couldn't get a gig in St Kilda," Holst says. "But they only had to do what we tried. I think Day By The Green represents the true St Kilda scene."

Great having Billy Pommer Jr and the Guilty Plea back, having Steve Lucas and his new outfit Neon and Venom and of course finishing off the night the incomparable Harry Howard and the NDE! Not to mention the return of Burn In Hell, the live debut of Dial Me For Murder and all the other great acts!
