Rome (/ˈroʊm/ ROHM; Italian: Roma [ˈroːma], Latin: Rōma) is a city and special comune (named Roma Capitale) in Italy. Rome is the capital of Italy and of the Lazio region. With 2.9 million residents in 1,285 km2 (496.1 sq mi), it is also the country's largest and most populated comune and fourth-most populous city in the European Union by population within city limits. The Metropolitan City of Rome has a population of 4.3 million residents. The city is located in the central-western portion of the Italian Peninsula, within Lazio (Latium), along the shores of Tiber river. The Vatican City is an independent country geographically located within the city boundaries of Rome, the only existing example of a country within a city: for this reason Rome has been often defined as capital of two states.
Rome's history spans more than two and a half thousand years. While Roman mythology dates the founding of Rome at only around 753 BC, the site has been inhabited for much longer, making it one of the oldest continuously occupied sites in Europe. The city's early population originated from a mix of Latins, Etruscans and Sabines. Eventually, the city successively became the capital of the Roman Kingdom, the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire, and is regarded as one of the birthplaces of Western civilization and by some as the first ever metropolis. It is referred to as "Roma Aeterna" (The Eternal City) and "Caput Mundi" (Capital of the World), two central notions in ancient Roman culture.
The Roman Empire (Latin: Imperium Rōmānum; Classical Latin: [ɪmˈpɛ.ri.ũː roːˈmaː.nũː] Ancient and Medieval Greek: Βασιλεία τῶν Ῥωμαίων, tr. Basileia tōn Rhōmaiōn) was the post-Roman Republic period of the ancient Roman civilization, characterized by government headed by emperors and large territorial holdings around the Mediterranean Sea in Europe, Africa and Asia. The extended city of Rome was the largest city in the world c. 100 BC – c. 400 AD, with Constantinople (New Rome) becoming the largest around 500 AD, and the Empire's populace grew to an estimated 50 to 90 million inhabitants (roughly 20% of the world's population at the time). The 500-year-old republic which preceded it was severely destabilized in a series of civil wars and political conflict, during which Julius Caesar was appointed as perpetual dictator and then assassinated in 44 BC. Civil wars and executions continued, culminating in the victory of Octavian, Caesar's adopted son, over Mark Antony and Cleopatra at the Battle of Actium in 31 BC and the annexation of Egypt. Octavian's power was now unassailable and in 27 BC the Roman Senate formally granted him overarching power and the new title Augustus, effectively marking the end of the Roman Republic.
Crash Course (also known as Driving Academy) is a 1988 made for television teen film directed by Oz Scott.
Crash Course centers on a group of high schoolers in a driver’s education class; many for the second or third time. The recently divorced teacher, super-passive Larry Pearl, is on thin ice with the football fanatic principal, Principal Paulson, who is being pressured by the district superintendent to raise driver’s education completion rates or lose his coveted football program. With this in mind, Principal Paulson and his assistant, with a secret desire for his job, Abner Frasier, hire an outside driver’s education instructor with a very tough reputation, Edna Savage, aka E.W. Savage, who quickly takes control of the class.
The plot focuses mostly on the students and their interactions with their teachers and each other. In the beginning, Rico is the loner with just a few friends, Chadley is the bookish nerd with few friends who longs to be cool and also longs to be a part of Vanessa’s life who is the young, friendly and attractive girl who had to fake her mother’s signature on her driver’s education permission slip. Kichi is the hip-hop Asian kid who often raps what he has to say and constantly flirts with Maria, the rich foreign girl who thinks that the right-of-way on the roadways always goes to (insert awesomely fake foreign Latino accent) “my father’s limo”. Finally you have stereotypical football meathead J.J., who needs to pass his English exam to keep his eligibility and constantly asks out and gets rejected by Alice, the tomboy whose father owns “Santini & Son” Concrete Company. Alice is portrayed as being the “son” her father wanted.

Campo de' Fiori (Italian: [ˈkampo de ˈfjoːri]) is a rectangular square south of Piazza Navona in Rome, Italy, at the border between rione Parione and rione Regola. It is just diagonally southeast of the Palazzo della Cancelleria and one block northeast of the Palazzo Farnese. Campo de' Fiori, translated literally from Italian, means "field of flowers". The name was first given during the Middle Ages when the area was actually a meadow.
In Ancient Rome the area was unused space between Pompey's Theatre and the flood-prone Tiber. Though the Orsini established themselves on the south flank of the space in the 13th century, until the 15th century the square remained undeveloped. The first church in the immediate vicinity was built during the pontificate of Boniface IX (1389-1404), Santa Brigida a Campo de' Fiori; with the building-up of the rione, the church has now come to face that part of the former square that is now Piazza Farnese. In 1456 under Pope Callixtus III, Ludovico Cardinal Trevisani paved the area: This was part of a greater project of improvement of the rione Parione. This renewal was both the result and cause of several important buildings being built in the surroundings; in particular, the Orsini palace on Campo de' Fiori was rebuilt. The Renaissance Palazzo della Cancelleria can be seen in Vasi's etching, rising majestically beyond the far right corner of the square.

Decided to test out the 5D3 magic lantern raw hack when I went to Rome for a few days a couple of months ago. Extensive used of the 3x zoom and the file browser functions as I only had one 16GB CF card and so transferred footage to my 32gb sd cards between shots. All handheld stabilized in post and a timelapse thrown in for good measure. Music: Harmonielehre: Part III (edit) - John Adams
Show the footage as it is, as it was recorded, with errors, duplicates, good and wrong stuff. No edits, no color correction or post-production, just sorted by date. From set to screen as a dogma. At first glance rough material destabilize, then gives a sense of potential. Because it splits observers in active or passive. And yes, is a provocation. The time-lapse were realized with 2 Nikon d2x and a cinema shuttle-pod. No kessler or dynamic perception motion control were used, diy - just by hand and scotch tape. Now we have a stage zero modified, (a slider with motion control for timelapse) but in this case I love the flickering and the discontinuity of hand made. Anyway, at the time, I whish I had it... production: Absolute timelapse: Marco Genone Time-lapse extracts from footage...

A InterDrone Film Festival 2016 Finalist In the Air is my first aerial video. In The Air - starts as a trailer for my upcoming product (short aerial videos) but shortly became something more, a montage of 4 months of travels and shooting in different locations in Europe from Scotland to Russia. I use my DJI Phantom 3 Professional quadcopter to capture the videos. Over 140+ GB of video footage was captured during that period.. Enjoy! If you find this video cool, I'll really appreciate likes and shares! Thank you! ____________________ Details: Video capture - Vadim Sherbakov & Ludmila Tregoub Montage & Post-processing - Vadim Sherbakov Music - by Bear McCreary Sound editing - Vadim Sherbakov Unit - DJI Phantom 3 Professional. http://rikshipley.tumblr.com/post/1314718680/rome-2010 Recently took a trip to rome, my first time of visiting the fantastic city and whilst there filmed this short piece Filmed with Canon 550D / t2i using a 18 - 55 mm canon lens few shots used with a tripod but after being stopped my the italian authorities resulted to filming handheld. edited using final cut pro 7 and colour corrected with red giant magic bullet looks.
