Seat

A seat is a place to sit, referring to the area sat upon as opposed to other elements like armrests.

A seat is also known as a bench, a chair, a chaise longue, chesterfield, a couch, a davenport or a settee.

Types of seat

The following are examples of different kinds of seat:

Armchair, a chair equipped with armrests

Airline seat, for passengers in an aircraft

Bar stool, a high stool used in bars and most houses

Bench, a long hard seat

Bicycle seat, a saddle on a bicycle

Car seat, a seat in an automobile

Chair, a seat with a back

Chaise longue, a soft chair with leg support

Couch, a long soft seat

Country seat, an alternative name for a stately home in the British Isles

Ejection seat, rescue seat in an aircraft

Folding seat,

Hard seat

Infant car seat, for a small child in a car

Jump seat, auxiliary seat in a vehicle

Left seat, pilot in command's seat

Ottoman, A soft footstool or chair

Parliamentary seat, alternative name for a parliamentary constituency

Pew, a long seat in a church

Right seat, co-pilot's seat

Atlas Genius

Atlas Genius are an alternative rock band formed in Adelaide, South Australia in November 2009. The band's mainstay members are the Jeffery brothers, Keith on lead vocals and lead guitar; Michael on drums; and Darren Sell on keyboard. Their debut album, When It Was Now, was issued on 9 February 2013 and peaked at No. 34 on the United States Billboard 200. In 2013 two of their singles appeared on the related Alternative Songs Chart, "Trojans" (released in May 2011) at No. 4 and "If So" (February 2013) at No. 8. In 2013 the group toured the US in April and May, United Kingdom in May, and back to the US in August.

In 2015 they released their second studio album, Inanimate Objects.

History

Atlas Genius formed in November 2009 in Adelaide by three brothers, Keith William Hamilton Jeffery (born 10 March 1982) on lead vocals and lead guitar; Steven Roger Jeffery on bass guitar; and Michael Douglas Jeffery on drums. The name was provided by Michael "[he] had a dream, and the name came to him in a dream". Their father had been a guitarist in his own high school band. They cleared out the family's garage and started building a recording studio. They were joined by English-born Darren Norman Sell on keyboards. According to Keith their influences include The Beatles, Death Cab for Cutie, Beck, The Police, and Phoenix: "[a]s far as the music is concerned, we like to have space, sections where it breathes ... [i]t's hard for us to define our style of music being that we're inside the songs. I've noticed a lot of reviewers calling it Indie/Pop though". They gained a residency at a local pub, The Lion, which helped raise funds for their home studio.

SEAT

SEAT, S.A. (Spanish: [ˈse.at], Sociedad Española de Automóviles de Turismo) is a Spanish automobile manufacturer with its head office in Martorell, Spain. It was founded on May 9, 1950, by the Instituto Nacional de Industria (INI), a state-owned industrial holding company.

It is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of the German Volkswagen Group, as a member of the now-defunct Audi Brand Group (2002–2007), together with Audi and Lamborghini, and marketed as a car maker with a youthful sporty profile. Within the Volkswagen Group and under the Audi Brand Group, the SEAT brand itself has been developed as a group with subsidiary companies (SEAT Group) and 'SEAT, S.A.' as the parent company.

The headquarters of SEAT, S.A. is located at SEAT's industrial complex in Martorell near Barcelona, Spain. By 2000 annual production peaked at over 500,000 units; in total up to 2006, over 16 million cars have been produced including more than 6 million from the Martorell plant, with three-quarters of the annual production being exported to over seventy countries worldwide.

First pure SOUND footage of the recently revised Seat Leon Cupra 290 now delivering 290 hp and 350 Nm of torque through a "new" exhaust system. While Seat's Leon Cupra sound used to be a bit on the quiet side they have really gone back into development and refined this car at the right bits and pieces. The middle exhaust section was "deleted" to enable a louder sound coming through towards the also new axle back exhaust. The video sometimes doesn't transport how good it actually sounds and how loud it is, but if you have heard a new Audi TTS you should closely know what this one is like. Not only the sound is improved but by modifying the exhaust system there is a more instant power delivery than in the 280 version, making the car at least "feel" a lot quicker and more aggressive. For two years, they devoted their days to constructing their dream studio and spent their nights performing songs by The Police, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones at local pubs to pay the bills. "We really got down and dirty with dry walling and literally laying the floorboards, and at the same time we were taking a couple of days a week to focus on writing songs," recalls Keith Jeffery, Atlas Genius's vocalist/guitarist. "We had a lot of song ideas and it was important to us to have our own studio where we could experiment and hone in on our sound," adds brother and drummer, Michael Jeffery. The studio was designed and outfitted by the brothers with the help of their father (who comes from a music and engineering background). Once the studio was complete, the first song that Atlas Genius finished was a song called "Trojans," which they wrote, recorded and produced in collaboration with their friend, keyboardist Darren Sell. After many weeks tweaking the song, Michael insisted that the song was ready to be heard outside of the studio walls. Within an hour, "Trojans" was on the Triple J Unearthed Website, SoundCloud, and for sale via TuneCore on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify worldwide. Quickly named an iTunes Single of the Week in Australia and New Zealand, "Trojans" reached #4 on Hype Machine by the end of May. In August, SiriusXM Satellite Radio's Alt-Nation discovered the song on a blog and decided to give it some spins. There was an immediate reaction from listeners, and in September, "Trojans" was placed into heavy rotation, where it maintained a top-five position on the listener-generated Alt-18 countdown and peaked at number one for 4 consecutive weeks in January 2012. "Trojans" began selling over a thousand tracks per week on U.S. iTunes and soon climbed to 45,000 sales - all with zero promotional efforts from the still-unsigned Atlas Genius. The band's first release from their new label home, the EP Through The Glass (produced, engineered and mixed by the band), came out in June of 2012. With Through The Glass completed, Atlas Genius then holed up in its studio and worked on writing and recording its first full-length album, while at the same time rehearsing for their first ever tour. The tour started in August 2012 and led to three more tours back to back taking them thru to the end of the year. Thus, their full-length debut was finished up between tour dates and got completed just before Christmas 2012. When It Was Now is set for a US release on February 19th, 2013, with an international release to follow soon after.

I travelled alone with my bag, half-filled with my video gear. At that time, I didn't knew that my ticket for that seat 22 would be the beginning of a once in a lifetime journey.
