Link is a 1986 British horror film starring Elisabeth Shue and Terence Stamp. The title character, "Link", is a super-intelligent yet malicious orangutan who lashes out against his masters when they try to have him put to sleep and sought to become his own master over a young woman. The film also features two chimpanzees, one of which is a baby.
It was directed by Richard Franklin and written by Everett De Roche from a story by Lee David Zlotoff and Tom Ackermann. The score was provided by Jerry Goldsmith. It was filmed in St. Abbs, Scotland.
Shue and Goldsmith received Saturn Award nominations for their contributions.
Although the title primate is clearly an orangutan, he is referred to as a chimpanzee through the entire film, and his fur appears to have been dyed black (Orangutans have reddish-brown fur).

Then, when the trains filled with waste departed from Naples, the past climbed on board. This is the story of a man who, while trying to kill a chestnut tree with a copper nail, was grabbed from behind by his past. And was forced to settle the score.

Genres: Action, Romance, Western,It shouldn't work. That is the thought that kept going through my head while watching Link. Super-intelligent, evil primates are the stuff of cheesy Michael Crichton-inspired adventures like Congo. They have no purpose being featured in an oddly engrossing, tongue-in-cheek indie thriller. It shouldn't work, but it does. http://www.theparallaxreview.com/columns/cannon_corner/link.html

Australia, 1986, color, 56 min. November 1986 - I asked Producer Gary Goldman if it would be OK if I were to show up earlier with my video camera { which was huge back in 1986 } and film the people walking by as they entered the lobby for the Cast and Crew screening of Don Bluth's Animated Feature ' An American Tail '. Gary said " Yes, of course." I hope you enjoy this video as many old friends walk by the camera. - Mark Pudleiner For some more details and a list of the people in this video visit the link below: http://markpudleiner.blogspot.ca/2014/12/an-american-tail-nov-1986-cast-and-crew.html
This is me giving a video tour of South Eugene High School for my mom in 1986. It was shot by my friend Nathan Marcel while we were Sophomores in Eugene, Oregon. My brother and I had decided not to move with my mom to New Mexico when she remarried. We wanted to go to South. We would be moving in with our father and his new wife and child, who had rented a house in the school district so we could transfer from Springfield. I was trying to comfort my mom about our living situation, though I seem rambling and nervous. I was a presumptuous and awkward teenager, a smart-ass who wasn't really that smart. I am most struck by how most of my peers seem pretty tolerant of what an annoying dork I was. Eugene kids are nice. And what the hell was I wearing? Clueless in so many ways... But the video...

First off, this is NOT my original idea. I got the idea from an editor by the name of Joel Walden. He made the same thing, except he used Ridley Scott's 'Alien'. Elisabeth Shue in PERSON! http://www.cinefamily.org/calendar /events.html#doug_octoberWhen you think “Doug Benson,” what do you think of? Movies (Doug Benson Loves Movies being his preternaturally popular podcast); interruptions (The Benson Interruption being his beloved live show of stand-up-us interruptus at the UCB); and, of course, weed (this is the man who brought us Super High Me, after all). Some or all of these elements are bound to combine at this, the next installment of Doug Benson’s Movie Interruption, where Doug and his friends (who, in the past, have included everyone from nerdist Chris Hardwick to metalist Brian Posehn) chill on the front row couches, mics in hand, and say whatever hilarious thing pops into their heads while a movie of their choosing unfolds on the screen....
Are you too young to play, too old to let me in?
One has his stone, take it, can you take it in?
And know when you laugh, oh how it'd make him grin.
Don't bat an eye, please won't you take in?
Well, oh will you ever be my friend?
