This is a video that I made to introduce a service project that I've been working on for a special education class. The video features Chris Davis, a 22 year old with severe autism. My friend Maria and I have been using art and music to help better his fine motor skills as well as improve some of his other functional abilities.

Wild Bill Davis
William Strethen Davis, conocido como Wild Bill Davis (Glasgow, Misuri, 24 de noviembre de 1918 - 17 de agosto de 1995) fue un organista, pianista, arreglista y compositor norteamericano de jazz. No debe confundirse con el trompetista Wild Bill Davison.
Comenzó su trayectoria escribiendo arreglos para Earl Hines y tocando el piano con Louis Jordan, entre 1945 y 1947. a partir de este momento se dedica preferentemente al órgano eléctrico, estableciéndose entre Nueva York y Los Ángeles, donde tocaba en trio con el guitarrista Bill Jennings. En los años 1950 se mueve en la órbita de Duke Ellington, registrando varios discos con él mismo o con músicos de su big band, como Lawrence Brown, Johnny Hodges o Paul Gonsalves. En los años 1970 realiza numerosas giras por Europa, en trío con el guitarrista Floyd Smith y graba con músicos como el saxofonista Eddie Lockjaw Davis. En las siguientes décadas no se prodiga mucho, aunque realiza diversas grabaciones con Lionel Hampton o Plas Johnson.
Davis es, para muchos autores, el verdadero inventor del órgano eléctrico en jazz, a través de las experiencias recogidas de Fats Waller y Count Basie, sus referencias.

The story of Michael Ray Richardson is one of the greatest tragedies in NBA history, it's also one of the most controversial topics in the history of the NBA.
Richardson starred at the University of Montana from 74 until 78 where he got the grizzlies into the tournament and got them ranked twice and set a than school record with 21 wins in 1975.
After four years at Montana Richardson went pro and was the 4th overall pick of the 1978 NBA draft by the New York Knicks. His rookie season with the Knicks was anything but spectacular. Richardson served primarily as a back up and averaged just 16 minutes a game.
He exploded his second year as his minutes jumped 37 a game and his points to 15 a game. He also became the first player in NBA history to lead the league in both assists and steals.
He became a key member of the Knicks in the late 70s but was given to the Golden State Warriors as compensation for the Knicks signing Bernard King. He played just 33 games with the Warriors before being traded to the Nets.
Richardson would go on to star for the Nets but he also acquired a cocaine habit. Richardson would miss several games due to rehab issues and even a few because he was too high to play.
In 1984-85 he had arguably the best season of his career averaging a career high 20 points, and 3 steals a game while making the all-star team for the 4th time. This was a controversial selection because it left out Bulls rookie Michael Jordan.
The following season Richardson had his 3rd positive test for cocaine and NBA commissioner David Stern banned Richardson for life. Richardson complains about the suspension saying it was a double standard as Warriors forward Chris Mullin had a well publicized battle with alcohol bad no action was ever taken against him. Richardson claims he was singled out because he was black and Mullin was white. Michael Ray Richardson Story (AMAZING BASKETBALL NBA DOCUMENTARY)
The story of Michael Ray Richardson is one of the greatest tragedies in NBA history, it's also one of the most controversial topics in the history of the NBA.
Richardson starred at the University of Montana from 74 until 78 where he got the grizzlies into the tournament and got them ranked twice and set a than school record with 21 wins in 1975.
After four years at Montana Richardson went pro and was the 4th overall pick of the 1978 NBA draft by the New York Knicks. His rookie season with the Knicks was anything but spectacular. Richardson served primarily as a back up and averaged just 16 minutes a game.
He exploded his second year as his minutes jumped 37 a game and his points to 15 a game. He also became the first player in NBA history to lead the league in both assists and steals.
He became a key member of the Knicks in the late 70s but was given to the Golden State Warriors as compensation for the Knicks signing Bernard King. He played just 33 games with the Warriors before being traded to the Nets.
Richardson would go on to star for the Nets but he also acquired a cocaine habit. Richardson would miss several games due to rehab issues and even a few because he was too high to play.
In 1984-85 he had arguably the best season of his career averaging a career high 20 points, and 3 steals a game while making the all-star team for the 4th time. This was a controversial selection because it left out Bulls rookie Michael Jordan.
The following season Richardson had his 3rd positive test for cocaine and NBA commissioner David Stern banned Richardson for life. Richardson complains about the suspension saying it was a double standard as Warriors forward Chris Mullin had a well publicized battle with alcohol bad no action was ever taken against him. Richardson claims he was singled out because he was black and Mullin was white. William Strethen Davis, conocido como Wild Bill Davis (Glasgow, Misuri, 24 de noviembre de 1918 - 17 de agosto de 1995) fue un organista, pianista, arreglista y compositor norteamericano de jazz. No debe confundirse con el trompetista Wild Bill Davison.
Comenzó su trayectoria escribiendo arreglos para Earl Hines y tocando el piano con Louis Jordan, entre 1945 y 1947. a partir de este momento se dedica preferentemente al órgano eléctrico, estableciéndose entre Nueva York y Los Ángeles, donde tocaba en trio con el guitarrista Bill Jennings. En los años 1950 se mueve en la órbita de Duke Ellington, registrando varios discos con él mismo o con músicos de su big band, como Lawrence Brown, Johnny Hodges o Paul Gonsalves. En los años 1970 realiza numerosas giras por Europa, en trío con el guitarrista Floyd Smith y graba con músicos como el saxofonista Eddie Lockjaw Davis. En las siguientes décadas no se prodiga mucho, aunque realiza diversas grabaciones con Lionel Hampton o Plas Johnson.
Davis es, para muchos autores, el verdadero inventor del órgano eléctrico en jazz, a través de las experiencias recogidas de Fats Waller y Count Basie, sus referencias.

"A mainstay of the Tulsa music scene from 1960 until his retirement in 2002, Bill Davis still plays an occasional gig around Tulsa. This singer, songwriter and musician was instrumental in creating what many local musicians call the "Tulsa Sound".
Not many can boast that their band consisted of musicians that at one time had played for Bob Seger, Leon Russell, Gary Lewis, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, The Tractors, and The Eagles (among others). Davis has opened for such acts as Joe Cocker and Leon Russell, in spite of the fact that outside of Tulsa most music fans have never heard of him.
