Sprinting is the act of running over a short distance at (or near) top speed. It is used in many sports that incorporate running, typically as a way of quickly reaching a target or goal, or avoiding or catching an opponent. Human physiology dictates that a runner's near-top speed cannot be maintained for more than 30–35 seconds due to the depletion of Phosphocreatine stores in muscles, and perhaps secondarily to excessive Metabolic acidosis as a result of Anaerobic glycolysis.
In athletics and track and field, sprints (or dashes) are races over short distances. They are among the oldest running competitions. The first 13 editions of the Ancient Olympic Games featured only one event—the stadion race, which was a race from one end of the stadium to the other. There are three sprinting events which are currently held at the Summer Olympics and outdoor World Championships: the 100 metres, 200 metres, and 400 metres. These events have their roots in races of imperial measurements which were later altered to metric: the 100 m evolved from the 100 yard dash, the 200 m distances came from the furlong (or 1/8 of a mile), and the 400 m was the successor to the 440 yard dash or quarter-mile race.
Year 300 (CCC) was a leap year starting on Monday (link will display the full calendar) of the Julian calendar. At the time, it was known as the Year of the Consulship of Constantius and Valerius (or, less frequently, year 1053 Ab urbe condita). The denomination 300 for this year has been used since the early medieval period, when the Anno Domini calendar era became the prevalent method in Europe for naming years.

Wayde van Niekerk (born 15 July 1992) is a South African track and field sprinter who competes in the 200 metres and 400 metres. He holds personal bests of 19.94 seconds and 43.48 seconds for the distances, respectively. He has held South African records for both but currently he only holds the record for the 400m event. He is the first athlete from Africa to run the 400m in under 44 seconds.
Van Niekerk was the silver medallist in the 400 m at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and took bronze in the 4×400 metres relay at the 2013 Summer Universiade. He also represented South Africa at the 2013 and 2015 World Championships in Athletics. At the latter event he took the gold medal in the 400 and is the reigning world champion.
Van Niekerk was born in Cape Town. He attended Grey College before going on to study marketing at University of the Free State. He made his international debut at the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics, where he placed fourth in the 200 m with a personal best time of 21.02 seconds. He also ran in the 4×100 metres relay heats with the national team, alongside Gideon Trotter. His senior breakthrough came at the age of eighteen at the 2011 South African Athletics Championships when he won the 200 m title in a new personal best of 20.57 seconds. He competed at that event at the 2011 African Junior Athletics Championships, but did not make the final. He ran sparingly in 2012, but began to show a talent for the 400 metres, setting a best of 46.43 seconds.

The lake is great and fun on the bamboo rafts. However, the main attraction here is the path that runs around the side of the mountain. There are restaurants and villages suspended 300 metres into the void. It is a 5km walk and is worth finding. Spending a day wandering around the bamboo is also a day not wasted. Beautiful spot, best in the off season.
Best Documentary 2016 The World's Most Mysterious and Dangerous Place On Earth Blue Holes Blue holes are roughly circular, steep-walled depressions, and so named for the dramatic contrast between the dark blue, deep waters of their depths and the lighter blue of the shallows around them. Their water circulation is poor, and they are commonly anoxic below a certain depth; this environment is unfavorable for most sea life, but nonetheless can support large numbers of bacteria. The deep blue color is caused by the high transparency of water and bright white carbonate sand. Blue light is the most enduring part of the spectrum; other parts of the spectrum—red, yellow, and finally green—are absorbed during their path through water, but blue light manages to reach the white sand and return up...

The rain is beating on my face
My bikes still hot as a pistol
Running like i’m in race
Some kind of suicidal missile
They’re in some motel somewhere
My baby donme me low
Thought i’d never be there
But now they’re both gonna know
I been a long time gone
Been real close to hell
I kept my mouth tight shut
Thought they wouldn’t like prison too well
They took the money and run
Left me with a smoking gun
Said she’d always wait for me
But what she left me was misery
I can’t feel no colder
Outside or in
Cut down mosburg in my bag
Five shells for her and three for him
They gone and broke my heart
Supposed to be my friend
This should keep them apart
Hell all things come to an end
Hey boy just tell me the number
Point me to their room
If you want you can call the law
While i play around with doom
When it’s over i’m gone
This tigers running just fine
I’m gonna kiss my baby goodnight
