WCAI Continuing to Make Friends and Influence People

In a previous article, ARC discussed the reactions to both the Toronto and Calgary "Million Canadian" marches that both fell 999,000+ short of a million. In that article was included a video featuring Bernard "the Roughneck" Hancock whom ARC described as an actor:

In truth, the characterization wasn't intended to be pejorative and I do believe that his public persona (particularly his first appearance in Ottawa wearing a hard hat, coveralls, and covered with grime from "work" in the oil patch was a bit of performance art) does include an element of acting in that anyone appearing in front of an audience is "acting" in a sense, Mr. Hancock rejects this characterization:
I'm not an actor. I've acted in one play in university (at the request of a friend and to raise funds for the Eaton Corner Historical Society) and I was Baby John in West Side Story back in grade 9. I've worked on and off on service rigs since 2006. It's completely unfair for you to call me an actor in a lame attempt to discredit me. Even David Chlamydia and Kikki Planet have had to retract falsehoods and concede that yes, in fact, I am who I say I am. If you indeed stand with me against racism and intolerance, and you are appreciative that someone in the conservative movement is calling these groups out for what they are, I would be much obliged if you would correct the falsehood in your video. I hope this page is about shining a light on racism, and not just a veiled attempt to delegitimize people you disagree with politically. Thank you in advance.
N. Bernard Hancock
If Mr. Hancock believes that ARC's characterization of him in this regard is unfair, I have no problem not doing so should he be mentioned in the future. And despite this writer's fundamental disagreements with him on a host of issues, I can at least agree with Mr. Hancock, based on what I heard from his speech in Edmonton, that attacking an identifiable group (Muslims) because of the heinous actions of some individuals is unjustifiably bigoted and hateful, as well as the poisonous nature of the groups he alludes to and who he mentions by name.

One of those groups, the Canadian Combat Coalition which is allied with WCAI, saw the video of Mr. Hancock's speech and reacted with grace and dignity, accepting what was a rather mild rebuke as constructive criticism.

Or Ryan Dean, the CCC head honcho, cried and gnashed his teeth:

More Shade Thrown on Sandra Solomon: Greg Renouf

Sandra Solomon is currently continuing her tour of western Canada soliciting money warning everyone of the nonexistent imminent  threat of anti-Muslim crackpots doing something stupid sharia law being imposed on Canadians which, of course, means a dystopian society where bacon is banned and that everyone in the country is required to listen to Yusef Islam:

Dear god.... the horror.

The horror.

But while she still has her supporters in the JDL and WCAI, the shine on Solomon is starting to wear off in Ontario where people know her best.

We can add another individual to the list of Solomon's detractors.

Our readers will know the name Greg Renouf who first became infamous for his involvement in the Occupy Movement, first in Vancouver and, after he was punted for being a dick, Toronto where he was also very quickly booted. He then decided to throw his lot in with Ezra Levant to attack left-wing, progressive, and socialist movements in the country. He has frequently been seen at the anti-Muslim protests at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto attempting to agitate.

Long story short, he's not a fan of Solomon:

Pretty clearly Solomon is becoming a rather polarizing figure.

But at least she still has the support of the classy mofos in the WCAI:

Muslims Assaulted: Suspect Linked to WCAI and "Million Canadian Deplorables" March

ARC received the following tip from a friend:
Muslims Targeted by Oshawa Woman
Jun 08, 2017 13:02 ET
....
On Sunday, May 21, 2017, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the accused approached a couple walking in the Oshawa Centre and uttered threats and assaulted them.

The female victim was wearing a hijab and the threats made by the accused were in relation to her dress. As the victims walked away, a bystander approached the accused to ask about her actions. The accused kicked the female bystander and another male who attempted to intervene, both of whom are Muslims.
On Monday, May 22, 2017, at approximately 1:45 p.m., the accused approached a woman at Lakeview Park in Oshawa and pushed her to the ground before fleeing the scene. This victim was also Muslim.
Georgina CASSIDY, age 47 of Oshawa, has been charged with: Assault x5; Threaten Deathand Threaten Bodily Harm. She was held for a bail hearing.

This individual wasn't someone known to ARC, however our friend also noted that she had at least some sort of link to a group ARC and others have been focused on for some time:

The Nationalist Movement, White Lives Matter "like" is also rather telling, but the WCAI Canada "like" is especially interesting to us.

She is also a member of the secret WCAI group where she appears to have made a single post:

The post on the WCAI Facebook group occurred a little over two months before the first alleged assault took place.

Cassidy was also a member of this Facebook group, who's failed protest has been covered here and in the msm:

No word on whether or not Gina Cassidy participated in the march herself.

When groups such as WCAI dehumanize people on the basis of their religion, it can't be a surprise when people are "radicalized" and then act on that negative characterization.

Disappointment and Anger: More Fallout From June 3 Anti-Government/Anti-Muslim Protests

As ARC readers are already aware of, there were some protests that occurred in the country this past Saturday targeting the sitting government (especially the prime minister), Muslims, refugees, and immigrants. The big show was to have been in Ottawa when a million Canadians were to have marched on Parliament Hill to demand the immediate resignation of Justin Trudeau and the removal of the Liberal Party from power because.... reasons I guess.

Even before, one of the main organizers tried to tap down expectations suggesting the number would be between 1,000 and 30,000 people. The right-wing "media" that covered the event suggested the number who attended was 5000, a number that our friend from the Cultural Action Party embraced and disseminated to his readers:

So basically, Breitbart is depending on The Daily Caller who didn't attend the event but is sure that the protest resulted in 5,000 Canadians showing up.

Oh yes, they were a "tad off" alright!

Public Urination and The Fallout From The Protests in Calgary and Ottawa

Now that I have your attention....

Joey De Luca, Jesse Wielenga, Devon Mannix. and Ryan Dean have been basking in the glow of what they believe to have been a wildly successful protest at Calgary City Hall this past Saturday:

Yes, a huge success.... despite the fact that the location they situated themselves in and the presence of anti-fascists and other protesters resulted in their message reaching only those already in the choir.

Hey, beggars can't be choosers.

They also appear to have an inflated sense of their own importance:

Riiggghhhhtttttt..........

They were certainly crowing about their perceived success not long after the protest when a bunch of them decided to stop at a nearby service station. Wielenga decided to record this historic moment for posterity and published it on YouTube, meaning he actually thought this dumpster fire presented them in a positive light (and yes, I know I spelled "Canadian" wrong in the introduction, but I'm cranky and tired so.... yeah):

Yep, that is WCAI founder Joey De Luca taking a piss behind a service station (which I presume likely has a toilet inside) in the middle of the day, all on video,

You know, as one would do.

Events of June 3: Anti-Muslim Protests

Well seems to have been an interesting day across the country.

Sign from the protest in Calgary
I'll be posting more on the anti-government/anti-Muslim protests that occurred in various cities in the next few days, but first here are a few comments by those who countered the haters.

Vancouver:

Based on photos posted by Brad Salzberg, it looks as if there were around two dozen people (give or take half a dozen) preaching to the choir. Among those who did attend was Dan Murray of Canadian Immigration Watch:

Edmonton:

A friend sent us the following:
So in Edmonton, it looked like there was a little less than 100 shitheads who showed up. Didn't see anyone on our side (I watched for an hour and a half). Although Bernard the Roughneck was one of the speakers.
When asked about the nature of the protest, the witness wrote:
From what I saw (I didn't stay the entire time), the Western Independence Party of Alberta was there handing out flyers, Jeff Sharpe made an intro speech about how the Liberals and NDP aren't listening and aren't transparent, and Bernard made a speech on how WCAI were morons for discriminating against Muslims, and that the real issue was pipelines, the farm bill, freedom of speech, etc.
Video ARC received of a portion of the protest appears to confirm this assessment:

Calgary:

From the CBC:
Anti-Islam, Anti-fascist groups clash at Calgary city hall
On one side were supporters of a group called the Worldwide Coalition Against Islam, which is against M-103, a non-binding motion condemning Islamophobia and religious discrimination passed in the House of Commons earlier this year.....Among them, a woman held a sign saying her grandfather fought against Nazis and now she feels she's doing the same.
"I'm sorry, I'm just a bit emotional about it, just the fact that history's being allowed to repeat itself," said the woman, who asked her name not be published.
"One of the fellows here … in the other group, he wants a neighbourhood of only Muslims so if anything goes down they can bomb that neighbourhood and kill all the Muslims. That's the same thing as a Jewish ghetto, the exact same thing."
A friend who attended the event wrote the following:
Today in Calgary about 35-40 anti-fascists opposed 70-75 Islamophobic, fascists. In
over ten years of anti-racist/anti-fascist organizing I have never seen a hate rally of this size, scope, and nature up-front and in-person. A friend said it best in comparing it to a Nazi rally in Munich in 1930s Germany. It was truly heartbreaking.
Today was not a win, but it also was not a loss. It was a stalemate. This was because of different factors.
One major factor was because of the sheer stupidity of the Islamophobes. They had boxed themselves in at City Hall Plaza so the fact is that those walking by and driving by could not actually see them, let alone hear them.
Further, when provoked they let their genocidal, racist language spew from their mouths which was duly recorded by our side. Also, I am quite certain they will be shown for what they are in the mainstream press: violent, racist white people.
It should be noted, that at least 1/3 to 1/2 of their side had driven in from Edmonton and many smaller towns and hamlets. The membership size of organised Islamophobes in this city is not as large but it is big for the province. And still, there are 8 Islamophobic groups active in the city. Calgary is at the forefront of hate.
I am happy that we stood up to them, that we spoke out, showed up; that we distributed so much literature exposing them. But our anti-fascist movement has to grow, because these fascists are not going away. They are also militarized. They have their Brownshirts and they were ready to draw blood.
We have to reach out further to more allies and communities. I am thankful to all our people and supporters who showed up to stand up to the growing fascist movement in this city and province.
Finally, they did not have a permit and broke the law by using a sound system. The city and police knew about it (I was told this by a police officer) and still did nothing. This shows, yet again, you can never put your faith in the state.
Regina:

According to WCAI Saskatchewan "captain" Christopher Hayes, and despite the effort to spin it, his event was not particularly well attended:

Winnipeg:
An estimated two hundred antifascists sent self-described "Canadian Patriots" packing at the Manitoba Legislature on Saturday, June 3, 2017, after antifa scouts determined that the Worldwide Coalition Against Islam (WCAI) at the last minute had moved a “free speech” rally originally scheduled to be held at city hall to the Broadway location. It did not go well for the WCAI which, despite its bluster, again could only muster nine supporters:

Three self-styled “Canadian Patriots," one of whom had conveyed threats to Winnipeg antifascists in the days leading up to the rally, aggressively engaged younger members of the antifascist crew and eventually emerged somewhat chastened, egos and bodies battered, from hard lessons learned on the front lawn of the legislative building.

Minutes later the police arrived, eventually including members of the riot squad, and on a day when a trans parade would begin its march a couple of hours later proceeded to arrest a non binary activist, M., who was abruptly and violently cuffed and thrown into a squad car for continuing to take photos of the police after they ordered her to refrain from doing so. When antifa protesters surrounded the police car the officer rammed into some of the protesters with the front bumper before the police cleared the way. The irony is that M. had been among those who tried to de-escalate tensions during the altercations at the event.

Eventually M. was released and was able to speak prior to the Trans March, part of the weekend’s Pride activities. FF1-Fascist Free Treaty One, was joined by strong contingents from the Urban Warrior Alliance, American Indian Movement (AIM), Crazy Indian Brotherhood, LGBTQIA2* activists, and many others.

The Council of Concerned Canadian Citizens (CCCC), WCAI and their supporters have thus far attempted on five occasions since early March to generate public support in Winnipeg. At every turn they have been rebuffed by strong antifascist organizing. When their public events were not outright cancelled, they sent in the Soldiers of Odin who, too, were summarily routed during altercations at city hall in late March. In word and deed, Winnipeg's FF1-Fascist Free Treaty One has demonstrated yet again that racist hate is not welcome here. True to FF1's motto: "Peg City Don't Play!” - Report from FF1.

Toronto

The reports ARC and others have received suggests that the number of anti-fascists dwarfed any Islamophobes who decided to make themselves known. Hopefully we'll get more details.

Ottawa:

According to journalist Kevin Metcalf, the "One Million Canadian March Against Trudeau" was short of a million by roughly 999,500 deplorables. Here is a video that he took of the event where he made the following observation:
Got harassed, threatened had my hands/camera whacked repeatedly with a stick. These guys really don't like free expression...
video

However, another individual suggests the number was actually much lower and the 500 might be because unrelated groups were also present on Parliament Hill:
Kevin Metcalf's numbers are way off. The Islamophobe event was triple booked with yoga on the hill and a Lyme Disease awareness rally. Their actual numbers were somewhere between 100-150 at best. It's the largest presence they've had but far fewer than 1 million. There might have been more but their bus from Kingston was touched up by comrades before it could leave.
We had maybe 30 anti-facsists at best. Many were confused that our meeting point wasn't on the hill and the violent event with Kevin Johnston left a few people worried that more violence would follow. A more organized action might have brought in a held greater numbers.
In the end we decided to hold a main exit at parliament hill as a choke point in case any fash tried to come at us again. They saw the strategic advantage and chose to stay back. Faith Goldy from rebel media wasn't so lucky. She attempted to confront us in the narrow entrance way and was shouted down with megaphones and airhorns.
Parliament hill is always a poor choice for a rally since police keep you in a fenced off area away from the public. We used that to our advantage and leafleted everyone going near parliament hill. People were very shocked to find out what was happening in their city and thanked us for showing up.
Once the events were winding down, we chose to head to the Police station in solidarity with out comrades being held. The police in response went into lockdown and promised they wouldn't release anyone until we leave. Some left and others stayed. Everyone was released around midnight.
This last part is related to an incident allegedly involving Kevin Johnston and four anti-fascists who were arrested. From the individual who sent ARC the information above is this report on what
happened:
Kevin Johnston was out trying to troll Antifa, then assaulted a young woman before getting the beat down he'd been asking for all day.
He claims he was stabbed but that's an outright lie to get attention.
A more detailed explanation followed:
He was out looking for trouble for two days. When he didn't get it, he approached anti-racists far from the Islamophobe march. He get up in the face of some young girls, grabbed their arms when they didn't want to be filmed and got knocked down in the process. He then started saying he was stabbed but that's bullshit. When police confirmed there was no knife, he then changed the story to include a gun.
He started pointing randomly to people he thought pushed him over and the police ended up arresting four Anti-Racists.
Fredericton:

Nothing specific, but it seems that the event was poorly attended based on a post concerning the Ottawa protest:

Hopefully I'll get more information soon. When I do I may very well update this article rather than write another.

Drunk Leaders Night Before June 3 Anti-Trudeau/Anti-Muslim Protest in Calgary

I posted this in the last article, but I really do think this deserves it's own space.

WCAI founder Joey De Luca, WCAI "captain" Jesse Wielenga, Sandra Solomon, a woman going by the name "JulieJulie", and one other WCAI member posted this on the WCAI Canada site an hour or so ago.

This, ladies and gentlemen, are the elite within the WCAI.

Homophobic slurs.

Rape jokes.

Threats.

And I do believe an admission of both financial incompetence coupled with what appears to be a severe drinking problem.

Yeah, you guys sure are the future.

Racists and Antisemites Attending June 3 Event in Calgary

Tomorrow the protests planned for Ottawa, Calgary, and other Canadian cities should all be under way by noon. Though billed as "million Canadian" marches (thereby attempting to co-opt past progressive events), this writer suspects the numbers will fall far, far, short of one million people. In Ottawa, I suspect there will be between 300 and 500 people, though that is perhaps a generous estimate. In Calgary, perhaps 50 to 100.

Then again, I've never been good at these kinds of estimates, so I may be surprised either way.

In Calgary, WCAI and the Canadian Combat Coalition have been whiny because their event has been referred to by ARC and others as racist and bigoted, a charge WCAI clumsily refutes:

Yeah.... you probably shouldn't do live videos while drunk because this alone undermines everything you just wrote:

video

Wow.

Rape jokes too.

Just.... wow.

Well, the WCAI videos MAY have been directed towards Trudeau (and based on the above video, homosexuals, the mentally challenged, and of course, Muslims), but the rhetoric coming from the participants and the possible guests tells another story.

For example, Karyn Draper, someone ARC has discussed in the past, will be attending the June 3 protest. In one post she says there will be another individual who will be attending but that she would like someone to accompany her to the event.

Let's see if you can spot the name I and others working with ARC noticed?

Actually, Merle is a name familiar to many, but let's let that slide for a bit.

It looks like Kyle McKee, founder of the Aryan Guard and current leader of the Calgary chapter of Blood & Honour may be attending the event. Kyle McKee, convicted of such crimes as possession of bomb making materials, possession of prohibited weapons, uttering threats, fleeing police, and assault. Kyle McKee, a man charged with attempted murder and other crimes. Kyle McKee, suspected of being involved in a violent home invasion, vandalism, and the firebombing (directly or having provided orders) of an anti-racist's residence.

Naw! It couldn't be THAT Kyle McKee, could it?

Yes, THAT Kyle McKee.

Making Fun of WCAI and CCC.... Because Why Not?

This weekend, WCAI and CCC are holding a protest at Olympic Plaza in Calgary, Alberta (as opposed to the MEGA rally on June 24). But before then ARC would like to first recount the heroism of the people who went to Red Deer to stand up to the injustice occurring at Lindsay Thurber High School.

No, not the dickheads who showed up to protest.

These two:

Both of these Grade 11 students stood up to hateful bullies who tried to use a fight at their high school that had been appropriately dealt with at the time into a vehicle for their anti-Muslim, anti-refugee, and anti-immigrant bile. In response to the young woman, WCAI posted video of her standing up to them and twisted it into some strange victory for their side, indicating that they weren't able to keep up with her intellectually. In the case of the young man, one of the students at the school the WCAI, CCC, III%, and SoO claimed they were there to protect, WCAI supporters posted messages such as these:

My personal favorites?

Perhaps not surprising to most of us, as a 16 year old in Grade 11, he probably does live at home with his mother. Quite the brain trust we have going here.

But yes, the proponents of free speech who went to the school to protect students want to beat up one of the students because he non-violently expressed his disapproval of their message.

That is usually not a very good way to make friends or influence people.

In the meantime, both the young woman and young man were recognized by the Alberta legislature for their leadership:
Edmonton Grade 11 students get standing ovation for standing up to Red Deer protesters
CBC News Posted: May 29, 2017 5:46 PM MT Last Updated: May 30, 2017 10:14 AM MT
Two high school students from Red Deer were given a standing ovation at the Alberta legislature on Monday to recognize the stance they took against a group of anti-immigration protesters.
Grade 11 students Ursella Khan and Thomas Gower stood up last week to a group of about 40 adult protesters who gathered outside Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School, after a false rumour involving Syrian refugee students began circulating on the internet.
Both students appeared surprised Monday by the accolades they received.
Neither should be surprised, as during the event and after the two have carried themselves with grace, dignity, and a maturity that belies their age. They were the adults; those 40 who protested based on a lie were not.

And they are both more mature than this writer who decided, after all the other "serious" posts on these idiots, to treat them like the clowns they are.

Hell of a segue, eh?

Sandra Solomon Had a Bad Day In Winnipeg

Though not nearly as bad as she has been claiming.

Toronto-based Islamophobe Sandra Solomon is on a cross country tour promoting her particular brand of bat-fucking-insanity to an audience who, outside of other Islamophobes and anti-fascists, ask the question, "who the hell is that crazy lady and why is she blocking my way to the supermarket?"

Today Solomon was in Winnipeg with a handful of local supporters. The reception she received was not to her liking as those opposed to her came out to verbally oppose her.

Which to Sandra Solomon is equivalent to a violent assault:

Uhm, no. No, that's not what happened. Not even close.

As the good folks at Pegida Watch noted:
Sandra Solomon was not assaulted in Winnipeg today but predictably, Solomon and her supporters are using the lie that she was in an attempt to raise money from her gullible followers, just like she did after supposedly being injured in a car accident - only to miraculously recover enough within days to fly to Washington and spend hours on end standing at a protest, waving a flag and a megaphone.
Those involved in the counter-protest offer this take which is corroborated by other witnesses and a video:
Earlier today Canada's #1 Islamophobe and top reactionary decided it was a good idea to come and spew her vile hate speech and conspiracy theories at City Hall here in Winnipeg. She and about 5 of her supporters draped In Canadian flags showed up on Main Street and was quickly confronted by us.
An altercation occurred when her supporter attacked one of our comrades. This is the complete opposite to what Never Again Canada and her self is reporting. Solomon was never attacked or harmed in the process however after being attacked our comrade was detained (later released without charge) the police set up a 10 ft line between us and the haters.
We managed to keep them off the street make her speech inaudible, shouted her and her supporters down and got passersby an observers to join us in denouncing her and her paranoid politics. We basically did it the only way Winnipeg could do it and that was make her and her minions look like complete clowns in public.
After being unsuccessful on trying to get public support (pretty hard in one of the most diverse areas of Canada) her and her followers left with their proverbial tails between their legs. We found out later that they proceeded to the safe space of the isolated Manitoba Legislative Building. Had we known we would of followed her there, luckily the legislature is cut off from the main streets of Broadway and Osborne so they probably had a little hate fest in their safe space with no real automotive or pedestrian traffic.
What you see on Never Again Canada and her Facebook is a flat out fabrication and sensationalized information to Garner sympathy and get other reactionaries to fund her sham of a movement. No matter who shows up on Treaty 1, [be they] Soldiers of Odin, Sandra Solomon, CCCC, WCAI, or any other "Patriot" group they will be met with resistance from not only FF1 Antifa but the citizens of this great multicultural, diverse and inclusive city. Let today be a lesson for any of you who want to spew hatred and ignorance here, we are waiting, we are watching. PEG CITY DON'T PLAY.
Solomon is continuing on to Regina tomorrow....

....and will be in Calgary on June 3 where she will no doubt continue to make friend and influence people in the same manner she did in Winnipeg.
