[4k, 60 fps] San Francisco, a Trip down Market Street, April 14, 1906
Upscaled with neural networks trip down Market Street, San Francisco, 1906. This film was shot on April 14, 1906, just four days before the San Francisco earthquake and fire which killed an estimated 3 000 people and destroyed over 80% of the city of San Francisco. It was produced by Harry, Herbert, Earle, and Joe. Harry J.
This is actually a staged shoot, so it's not actual traffic from that time:
– The film records a total of thirty cable cars, four horsecars, and four streetcars. At first, there also appear to be many automobiles; however, careful tracking shows that almost all of the autos circle the camera many times—one of them ten times. This traffic was apparently staged by the producer to give Market Street the appearance of a prosperous modern boulevard with many automobiles.

"The Big Four" was the name popularly given to the famous and influential businessmen, philanthropists and railroad tycoons who built the Central Pacific Railroad, (C.P.R.R.), which formed the western portion through the Sierra Nevada and the Rocky Mountains of the First Transcontinental Railroad in the United States, built from the mid-continent at the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean during the middle and late 1860s. Composed of Leland Stanford, (1824–1893), Collis Potter Huntington, (1821–1900), Mark Hopkins, (1813–1878), and Charles Crocker, (1822–1888), the four themselves however, personally preferred to be known as "The Associates."
Membership:
Leland Stanford, (1824–1893), – C.P.R.R. President, Stanford University founder.
Collis Potter Huntington, (1821–1900), – C.P.R.R. Vice President, for which the city of Huntington, West Virginia was named. He is also the uncle of Henry E. Huntington, (1850–1927), founder of the famous Huntington Library with its art galleries and gardens in San Marino, California.
Mark Hopkins, (1813–1878), – C.P.R.R. Treasurer
Charles Crocker, (1822–1888), – Construction Supervisor, President of Charles Crocker & Co., a C.P.R.R. subsidiary, later founder of the larger, more extensive Southern Pacific Railroad, another transcontinental link to the east, built later in 1883.
Collectively, the four philanthropically also established the Sacramento Library Association for the state capital in Sacramento, California in 1857, which later established the present Sacramento Public Library.[3]
David Hewes, an enterprising businessman, was called the "maker of San Francisco" for his work in clearing land for development. He was invited to be a part of the "Big Four" but declined due to the financial risks. Over his lifetime he gained and lost several fortunes.[4]
In their time, the four men were sometimes referred to as nabobs or "nobs," a reference to their wealth and influence. When the four built mansions in the same neighborhood of San Francisco, the area quickly became known as Nob Hill, a name it carries today.
Author, newspaper reporter and columnist Ambrose Bierce included characters based on the "Big Four" in his work "Black Beetles in Amber" as Sootymug (Hopkins), Happy Hunty (Huntington), Cowboy Charley (Crocker) and Leland, The Kid (Stanford).

Origin and Meaning of the Name California - ROBERT SEPEHR
In the 16th century, when Spanish explorers first discovered the Baja California peninsula, they believed it to be a large island. The name "California" was likely derived from a popular novel of the time, and eventually applied to the modern state of California, which obviously turned out to not be an island at all. Published around the year 1500, Las Sergas de Esplandián, tells a story of California as the name given to a mythical island populated only by female Amazonian-like warriors who used gold tools and weapons, ruled over by a Queen named Calafia. https://atlanteangardens.blogspot.com/2019/07/origin-and-meaning-of-name-california.html

California is a place name used by three North American states: in the United States by the state of California, and in Mexico by the states of Baja California and Baja California Sur.Collectively, these three areas constitute the region formerly referred to as Las Californias. The name California is shared by many other places in other parts of the world whose names derive from the original. The name "California" was applied to the territory now known as the state of California by one or more Spanish explorers in the 16th century and was probably a reference to a mythical land described in a popular novel of the time: Las Sergas de Esplandián.

'Atomology' Etymology The Original Universal Language, By MrAstrotheology Santos Bonacci
I believe that as soon as we are born on this Earth plane, we are experiencing and searching for the truth in all things. For me from a early age certain things didn't seam right, over the last 12 years or so I've been on my own personal journey to discover who i really am and the truth about the world and the universe we live in. In my research i came across Santos Bonacci and this presentation is the first of his many videos that helped me Syncretise and connect the dots. I hope anyone who watches this learns as much as i did, because the Truth will set you free. Tom

Tom
