From Black Rose / Rosa Negra - Los Angeles: "The anti-Muslim group Act for America held a "rally against Sharia law" today in San Bernardino at the site of the December 2015 terrorist attack. About 200 anti-Muslim and pro-Trump supporters protested, with a large faction of them composed of an organized group of alt-right fascists. They displayed fascist symbols like 'kekistan' flags, a Mussolini flag, an anti-Jewish "da goyim know" sign, an "anti-communist action" flag showing people being thrown out of a helicopter in reference to the Pinochet regime's murder of leftists and human rights activists, and crusader imagery. It was clear that this was a rally where organized fascists were attempting to latch onto the more traditional conservative movement (which is still a white supremacist movement that needs to be smashed) and gain recruits and legitimacy.
The fascist gang made repeated attempts to march across the street and charge the group of about 100 counter-protesters, creating a couple small clashes. There was at least one injury on the anti-fascist side requiring medical attention. As expected, despite the one-sided aggression from the fascists, the police focused their attention on the anti-fascists, while giving thumbs-up to the anti-Muslim crowd.
As the number of counter-protesters dwindled in the afternoon, they decided to retreat and leave the intersection to the fascists. As they left down a side street, the fascists charged after, smashing the windshield of at least one car and chasing others as they pulled away. Police on horseback and motorcycles pursued the fascists as they ran through the neighborhood, arresting at least three of them.
The rally was a lesson that the fascist movement in Southern California is much more organized than they have been in years, and they are very focused on seeking out battles with the left in their quest for political power. We, on the other hand, have not done the work of mobilizing to confront this dangerous movement." ... See MoreSee Less
