Sam Panopoulos, who died aged 83, leaves behind a legacy that has delighted some, appalled many and sparked widespread debate that even Justin Trudeau got involved in. Panopoulos immigrated to Canada from Greece in 1954 where he opened up several restaurants with his brothers and his legendary creation was born.
