A Brisbane driver has been charged after allegedly crashing into 22 parked cars while fleeing police.
Police spotted the Kelvin Grove man driving his white Mitsubishi Lancer along the Story Bridge about 12.30am and tried to pull him over.
Instead, the 35-year-old allegedly continued south, turning off onto Thomas Street and accelerating away before smashing 22 parked cars and pulling up on nearby Rawlins street.
Police said the crashes caused minor damage.
A police spokesman could not say exactly what attracted the attention of the Tactical Crime Squad officers in the first place.
The driver was charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, obstructing police, failing to give his name, take a breath test and two counts of failing to stop.
There was little sign of the damage on Friday morning, except for the white Lancer, which had come to a stop at the end of a dead end street with the driver side window smashed.
He is due in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 7.
