8th AWoS, Various Hosts, S.G.O (choose your acronym).

So, for the 8th year, here's the PPC AWoS. From the 1st of December to the 24th of December, everyday you'll have to click on one slice of the image. Everyday, each compartment will show a new album never posted before on this blog. Each post will be available for just one day (or maybe two, it will depend). Don't click on a part before the day or somebody could be hurt. Now you can enjoy the spirit of Power Pop. And of course, feel free to comment everyday.

VARIOUS - MAS CHRISTMAS! (2014)
One month from today, it will be Christmas Eve, so this is time to share the ninth PPC collection of Christmas Carols. All the previous eight volumes have been re-upped last week, so newcomers have been able to get those compilations for the first time and if necessary, old PPC members to replace their lost copies due to some hard drive crash or whatever...

Last year, Tic Tac Mistletoe was spread all over the web on other sites, blogs or torrents. I have even found some sites trying to sell the Tic Tac Mistletoe compilation. I would recall that PPC Records doesn't exist, the artwork is only made for the fun part of it, and please remember the compilations are FREE. Though I'm really flattered to see my compilations becoming popular items, i'd like to say that i'm not interested in seeing my compilations posted everywhere.

Mas Christmas! is available in both lossy and lossless formats.
All the songs included on this collection were compiled from CD's or official digital downloads. Out of the 25 songs, auCDtect found 2 songs (1 from an official CD, the other coming from a Bandcamp download) as MPEG 95%.

Full artwork included

THE CRACKERS - GUARANTEED (1983)
Hailing from Albuquerque (New Mexico), the band fronted by Bradd Aubry, with its unique album, presents a slight pop, composed of subtle combinations of flavors sixties. Obvious Beatles influences as well as some Herman's Hermits should appeal to "power pop lovers". In 1984, the group, partly modified, released a 5 track EP but the know-how was almost gone.

The Well Wishers - A Shattering Sky ( New CD)

The official release date of "A Shattering Sky" is
September 30, 2014

After six albums and a 5-song EP released over a scant 11 years, Well Wishers frontman and brainchild Jeff Shelton (ex-Spinning Jennies) shows no signs of winding down. "A Shattering Sky", the Well Wishers 7th full-length studio album, is Shelton's most ambitious and full-bodied production to date. Employing the dynamic drumming talents of former bandmates Nick Laquintano and Braden McGraw, the album draws heavily on the sharp power pop acumen of previous Well Wishers albums while furthering the mantle with tighter arrangements, broader instrumentation, and cleaner production. While bold and bright guitars, lush melodies, and undeniable hooks are always at the forefront of Shelton's tried and true pop formula, there are nods to other stops on the musical spectrum... from the country-tinged "Right Here at Last" (featuring guitar from fellow Bay Area cohort Bradley Skaught of Bye Bye Blackbirds), to the bouncy Britpop of "Bring It Back", to the swirling, brash psychedelia of closer "Father Nature". Never one to shy away from a reverential cover, Shelton also includes a lock-step cover of the Tom Petty song "When The Time Comes".
