THE SLEEP - WIN OR LOSE (1985)
..The Story of The Sleep.. ....
"After Gilberth left Rävjunk he started The Sleep together with Nicke Rune. At first it was only a one off project support Johnny Thunders at Rackis Uppsala. Thunders cancelled his gig. So The Sleep had to fill the whole evening. The Sleep had only songs for 30 minutes but played a 2 hour set. After the gig we choose to carry on as a band. So between 1982 to 1985 The Sleep played a 150 to 200 gigs. In 1985 the album " Win or Lose" was realesed on Web records. Shortly after the realease Gilberth left the group. The band played 3 more gig without Gilberth before they also called it a day. ..After the split Gilberth formed SLM, Nicke, Olof and Johan played in Soul Pack, Mange, T.P. and Hardy played in Pretty Triggers and later in The Gabba Gabba Heys. Mange also became a member of Rävjunk in 1992 and he still is a member of Rävjunk even do it´s 6 years since Rävjunk played together. Today Nicke works at Universal as a A & R man, Johan is playing with Big Road, Mange is in the it business, Gilberth is a dj and also involved in The Rackis Project, T.P. is working as a consult, Hardy works as projectmanager and what Olof do for a living I don´t know. The Sleep reunited in 1992 for a one off gig at Barowiak Uppsala. .."
