This was my first time making cauliflower rice and I was a little skeptical. Turns out my fears were for naught because the cauliflower cooked up tender crisp in that way you want vegetables to taste. This paella is light and flavorful and full of health. The flavors are the paella you know and love thanks to the saffron and smoked paprika, and I never missed the rice one bit!
Noodles are life and this Indonesian version, mie goreng, is one of my favorite dishes. I grew up eating the instant noodle version so for me, mie goreng is comfort food, through and through. What makes this dish is the sauce. Its main flavor comes from kecap manis, a super sweet and sticky, almost molasses-like soy sauce. It’s super addictive.
Making kimchi stew is one of my favorite things to do because it is incredibly easy, especially if you happen to have a bunch of leftover protein on hand. You can fancy it up if you like with a soft onsen egg and some crispy mochi bits but it tastes just as good with a bowl of plain white rice.
