1996 (MCMXCVI) was a leap year starting on Monday (dominical letter GF) of the Gregorian calendar, the 1996th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 996th year of the 2nd millennium, the 96th year of the 20th century, and the 7th year of the 1990s decade.

Looney Tunes is an American animated series of comedy short films produced by Warner Bros. from 1930 to 1969 during the golden age of American animation, alongside its sister series Merrie Melodies. Drawing inspiration for its name from Walt Disney's then-concurrent musical series Silly Symphonies, Looney Tunes initially showcased Warner-owned musical compositions through the adventures of cartoon characters such as Bosko and Buddy.
Later, following the animation studio's addition of directors Tex Avery and Chuck Jones among others, as well as the voice actor Mel Blanc, Looney Tunes rose to greater fame for introducing such cartoon stars as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Tweety Bird, Sylvester the Cat, Yosemite Sam, Foghorn Leghorn, Marvin the Martian, Pepé Le Pew, Speedy Gonzales, Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, the Tasmanian Devil and many others. These characters themselves are commonly referred to as the "Looney Tunes" (or "Looney Toons"). From 1942 to 1964, Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies were the most popular animated shorts in movie theaters, exceeding the works of Disney and other popular competitors including Fleischer Studios, Walter Lantz Productions, UPA, Terrytoons and MGM.

For those who enjoy watching travel videos, here is one that I dug out from April 1996, New York City. I have lots of old travel videos, if there are encouraging feedbacks, I will upload them all.
With April jilted at the altar by her Greek boyfriend, Carol and Alan step in at short notice.... Here we meet the Brannings 'old skool' style. There's Carol's parents Jim (pre-Dot) and Doreen, sisters April and Suzy (then called Sue), with Suzy's daughter Rebecca. And finally older brother Derek. I think the other guy with Derek is suppose to be another Branning brother. Possibly Max before he was 'de-aged'? Of course Jack didn't exist at this stage!
Clip directed by Bertrand Burgalat Chrominance Decoder 1996 Produced and arranged by Bertrand Burgalat Recorded in Paris, London (summer 1995) and Los Angeles (tracks 3, 7. autumn 1997) by Bertrand Burgalat, Charles Goodan, Gaël Robin, Dominique Ledudal.
Moving Target was first performed by Charleroi/Danses on April 27.1996. The work was been created by the choreographer Frederic Flamand and the artists/architects Elizabeth Diller and Ricardo Scofidio. The Academy of Media Art has contributed with the collaboration of artists Paolo Atzori, Ivar Smedstad, and Kirk Woolford. Their work was developed as an investigation of the schizophrenic body in the architectural space created by Diller and Scofidio. The unorthodox construction of the "Moving Target" set allowed them to explore movements of bodies unbounded by physical and virtual space, blurring internal, and external spaces through a combination of digital effects and live computer graphics and allowing the dancers to freely shift between real, dream, virtual, and material conditions. ...

Recorded April 12, 1996 at Café International, San Francisco, California With Frank Moore, Barb Golden, Corey Nicholl and Med-O. The first Cherotic All-Star Band jam! Although, this was the second Cherotic All-Star Band performance, it was the FIRST one where Frank did not use pre-recorded songs to sing/play along with. Up until this point Frank had been singing along with taped songs and having musicians “playing along” with the recorded songs. Barb Golden suggested that he try not using the recorded songs and just singing/jamming along with the musicians. The rest is history!! They say the sky used to be blue I don't quite believe it
It's probably always been the color that it is
And there were cotton candy clouds and birds to fly through it
Just stories we all love to tell our kids
So I'll close my electronic door and keep the cold outside
Hug my aluminium pillow so tight
And pray the radiation doesn't make me sick tonight
There used to be a wind wasn't caused by fans
I wonder how it would of felt in my hair
And the nuclear ring around the moon was caused by man
If it was then it's much to late to care
So I'll put my saftey goggles and gaze out at the sun
The artificial atmosphere machines give off a constant hum
In a world thats cold and peaceful April 2031
No more sky and no more trees
(April 2031)
No more oxygen to breathe
(April 2031)
No more hate and no more war
(April 2031)
Nothing left worth fighting for 2031
As far back as Vietnam we should of learned our lesson
But we closed our eyes and sent our son's away
And they told us we were winning as they sold more ammunition
Some were angry most just looked the other way
Ohh, nights illuminated by the endless glowing sand
That swallowed all the oceans and choked off all the land
In a world beyond resuscitation even by God's hand
No more moutains no more sea
(April 2031)
No more you and no more me
(April 2031)
No more music no more songs
(April 2031)
No God left to blame it on
(April 2031)
No more children playing April 2031
No more need for praying April 2031
No more children playing April 2031
