A Short History of Pittsburgh (2010)

Plot: Christmas 2007. Richard 'Pas' Carothers narrates his version of Pittsburgh past and present to a captive audience in his SUV as he drives them to some of his favorite spots around the city. The car's passengers are his daughter Courtney and her childhood friends Tara and Sarah, now in their twenties. They all grew up in Pittsburgh but now live elsewhere and have come home for Christmas with boyfriends who have never seen the city. The tour is both informative and endearing and creates a portrait of Pittsburgh as a true American city, fallen on hard times but still capturing the imagination and love of its residents.
