Writer and director Cameron Crowe's experiences as a teenage rock journalist (he was a regular contributor to Rolling Stone while still in high school) inspired this coming-of-age story about a 15-year-old boy hitting the road with an up-and-coming rock band in the early 1970s. Elaine Miller (Frances McDormand) is a bright, loving, but strict single parent whose distrust of rock music and fears about drug use have helped to drive a wedge between herself and her two children, Anita (Zooey Deschanel) and William (Patrick Fugit). Anita rebels by dropping out of school and becoming a stewardess, but William makes something of his love of rock & roll by writing album reviews for a local underground newspaper. William's work attracts the attention of Lester Bangs (Philip Seymour Hoffman), editor of renegade rock magazine Creem, who takes William under his wing and gives him his first professional writing assignment ﾗ covering a Black Sabbath concert. While William is unable to score an interview with the headliners, the opening act, Stillwater, are more than happy to chat with a reporter, even if he's still too young to drive, and William's piece on the group in Creem gains him a new admirer in Ben Fong-Torres (Terry Chen), an editor at Rolling Stone. Torres offers William an assignment for a 3,000-word cover story on Stillwater, and over the objections of his mother (whose parting words are "Don't use drugs!"), and after some stern advice from Bangs (who says under no circumstances should he become friends with a band he's covering), Williams joins Stillwater on tour, where he becomes friendly with guitarist Russell Hammond (Billy Crudup) and singer Jeff Bebe (Jason Lee). William also becomes enamored of Penny Lane (Kate Hudson), a groupie traveling with the band who is no older than William, but is deeply involved with Russell. Lester Bangs and Ben Fong-Torres, incidentally, were real-life rock writers Crowe worked with closely during his days as a journalist. Almost Famous' original score was composed by Nancy Wilson of Heart (who is also Crowe's wife).

my hubby and i spent a couple months and just over 40 hours in-between full time jobs, lovingly shooting thousands of photos to create this stop motion film based on periods of our dating life. the 2000 days represents the roughly 5.5 years we dated before our wedding. one of our favorite movies is 500 days of summer so we knew we had to adapt our love story to this film! we had a blast researching and finding some of the exact scenes from the movie. we poured lots of love into this film and it means so much to us. enjoy =)

- we snuck into the building in the very first scene just as a tenant walked out and used a construction cone to prop the door open for retakes. this is the same building where they shot Tom (Joseph Gordan Levitt)'s apartment in the movie
- it took 50+ takes to get the water fountain shooting up just right and one tireless hubby that had to walk back and forth while i got to stand in place behind the camera.
- we shot a few scenes in ikea though ended up scrapping it because it didn't fit into the limited song time frame. do you know how fun it is to run around like children pretending you live in an ikea bedroom? try it!
- the coffee shop scene was shot in Canters, a diner on Fairfax/Beverly, and open since 1931. if you're in Los Angeles, it's a great place to check out. you might even run into a few famous people. I've seen the whole dandy warhols band grabbing food after a show and said hello to "the mayor of sunset strip", rodney bingenheimer. the actual coffeeshop in the movie was created in the lobby of a vacant building.
- the intro title and scrolling numbers were all chalk drawn with stencils on a blackboard and timed to look as if they were scrolling as if in the real film.

Laura Kirk
Laura Ellen Kirk (born 1966 in Lecompton, Kansas) is an American actress and university professor.
Kirk is best known to fans as Lisa Picard from the 2000 movie Lisa Picard is Famous having co-written the story with friend Nat DeWolf.
A graduate of the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, Kirk most recently played Shelia Denning in the made-for-TV movie, A Boyfriend for Christmas as well as a guest on the television series House. Laura has a Bacon number of 2. She was in Lisa Picard is Famous with Sandra Bullock who was in Loverboy with Bacon.
Since 2010 Kirk has served on the faculty of the University of Kansas in the Film and Media Department.

Jay McGreneghan’s dad was left severely disabled by a severe stroke 8 years ago. Ever since, his dad has been left confined to his care home bed, and Jay has been determined to make a difference and raise awareness for this condition. In July 2012 Jay bought a rare Constables Mobility VW Caddy Wheelchair Access vehicle, with the idea of giving his dad a chance to take some day trips and get a change of scenery. Alas, before the car was made road worthy, he suffered further strokes and associated illnesses, and is now unfit to travel. Jay became quite down and depressed until his late cousin Michelle, inspired him to use the vehicle for a good cause. “Between 19th + 29th May, fuelled by recycled cooking oil, I drove my Caddy to VW's Autostadt in Germany. On the 27th May I ran my own marathon around the famous city of Wolfsburg in aid of Stroke Association. My journey was completed when I returned to wish my dad a happy birthday on 29th May at his care home in Wigan. I chose The Stroke Association as my charity due to the great work they do. I only hope my plans can help those touched by stroke. It's a battle for the families and friends as well as the victim. If you've been affected by stroke in anyway, take a look at www.stroke.org.uk. In February of 2009 we got a call from Catherine Owens, the long time super creative director for the uber-famous band U2. Catherine came across our work and knew she found the team who could help with U2’s 2009 world tour (titled 360). After a quick stint of meetings in New York, we came back to the Bangkok studio and begin work for the following two months on numerous ideas. We began our development on the videos for the tracks Beautiful Day, Ultra Violet and The Unforgettable Fire. Writer and director Cameron Crowe's experiences as a teenage rock journalist (he was a regular contributor to Rolling Stone while still in high school) inspired this coming-of-age story about a 15-year-old boy hitting the road with an up-and-coming rock band in the early 1970s. Elaine Miller (Frances McDormand) is a bright, loving, but strict single parent whose distrust of rock music and fears about drug use have helped to drive a wedge between herself and her two children, Anita (Zooey Deschanel) and William (Patrick Fugit). Anita rebels by dropping out of school and becoming a stewardess, but William makes something of his love of rock & roll by writing album reviews for a local underground newspaper. William's work attracts the attention of Lester Bangs (Philip Seymour Hoffman), editor of renegade rock magazine Creem, who takes William under his wing and gives him his first professional writing assignment ﾗ covering a Black Sabbath concert. While William is unable to score an interview with the headliners, the opening act, Stillwater, are more than happy to chat with a reporter, even if he's still too young to drive, and William's piece on the group in Creem gains him a new admirer in Ben Fong-Torres (Terry Chen), an editor at Rolling Stone. Torres offers William an assignment for a 3,000-word cover story on Stillwater, and over the objections of his mother (whose parting words are "Don't use drugs!"), and after some stern advice from Bangs (who says under no circumstances should he become friends with a band he's covering), Williams joins Stillwater on tour, where he becomes friendly with guitarist Russell Hammond (Billy Crudup) and singer Jeff Bebe (Jason Lee). William also becomes enamored of Penny Lane (Kate Hudson), a groupie traveling with the band who is no older than William, but is deeply involved with Russell. Lester Bangs and Ben Fong-Torres, incidentally, were real-life rock writers Crowe worked with closely during his days as a journalist. Almost Famous' original score was composed by Nancy Wilson of Heart (who is also Crowe's wife).

my hubby and i spent a couple months and just over 40 hours in-between full time jobs, lovingly shooting thousands of photos to create this stop motion film bas...my hubby and i spent a couple months and just over 40 hours in-between full time jobs, lovingly shooting thousands of photos to create this stop motion film based on periods of our dating life. the 2000 days represents the roughly 5.5 years we dated before our wedding. one of our favorite movies is 500 days of summer so we knew we had to adapt our love story to this film! we had a blast researching and finding some of the exact scenes from the movie. we poured lots of love into this film and it means so much to us. enjoy =) we packaged our little dvd into a recycled invite case: http://www.maemaepaperie.com/custom/suites/malibu i have since started my own little photography business =) www.facebook.com/audreejeanphotography / www.audreejeanphotography.com fun info - watch the video first! =) - we snuck into the building in the very first scene just as a tenant walked out and used a construction cone to prop the door open for retakes. this is the same building where they shot Tom (Joseph Gordan Levitt)'s apartment in the movie - it took 50+ takes to get the water fountain shooting up just right and one tireless hubby that had to walk back and forth while i got to stand in place behind the camera. - we shot a few scenes in ikea though ended up scrapping it because it didn't fit into the limited song time frame. do you know how fun it is to run around like children pretending you live in an ikea bedroom? try it! - the coffee shop scene was shot in Canters, a diner on Fairfax/Beverly, and open since 1931. if you're in Los Angeles, it's a great place to check out. you might even run into a few famous people. I've seen the whole dandy warhols band grabbing food after a show and said hello to "the mayor of sunset strip", rodney bingenheimer. the actual coffeeshop in the movie was created in the lobby of a vacant building. - the intro title and scrolling numbers were all chalk drawn with stencils on a blackboard and timed to look as if they were scrolling as if in the real film.https://wn.com/Stop_Motion_Wedding_Invite_2000_Days

Catherine came across our work and kn...In February of 2009 we got a call from Catherine Owens, the long time super creative director for the uber-famous band U2. Catherine came across our work and knew she found the team who could help with U2’s 2009 world tour (titled 360). After a quick stint of meetings in New York, we came back to the Bangkok studio and begin work for the following two months on numerous ideas. We began our development on the videos for the tracks Beautiful Day, Ultra Violet and The Unforgettable Fire. The first series of works involved filming small fish common in the canals of Bangkok for very fluid and dreamlike sequences. For the second series we explored mapping the films into a 3d space and further distorting them for an enhanced depth and perspective. Then for the last series of works we explored more solid colors, 2d and fast paced clips to stimulate lighting effects and screen energy during the performance. In the end we created over 100 different sequences, with over 300 total clips delivered in various formats, colors and speeds. The concert opened in Barcelona on June 30, 2009 to a sold out crowd of 90,000 fans. The screen that displayed this work was designed by Willie Williams, Mark Fisher, Chuck Hoberman, and Frederic Opsomer. The screen was composed of 888 individual hexagonal panels that support 500,000 Barco LED pixels. It can transform from seven meters to 22 meters high and move up and down. In the beginning the context and the information was disturbing to me in that the gist of his revelations and the tone of his narrative has been all of the ET groups are at each others throats. He was indicating the ICC and SSP groups were in complex hostile we vs. them type scenarios with almost everyone and they we always fighting against each other. It seemed they were all competing and vying for the upper hand. It seemed all of them had agendas of not so nice intentions towards the earth populace. They are vey materialistic and have no concerned for the earth populations or that the technology they were receiving and trading for was the result of slavery manipulation and even murder. Clearly they are aware of the hostile agenda run by the earth minions of the Draco Cabal or Syndicate Alliance. In Corey’s early narrative it seemed that none of the 40 super federation guys were positive. I was mistaken as since then I have talked to Corey several times and have gotten a clearer picture. Obviously we can view the Sphere Beings as being positive but I was at first concerned that Corey may have been used to promote they are all bad and only the Sphere beings can save us or control the earths quagmire and quarantine situation.
