Summer 2017 Youth Radio Camps
Want to learn how to create a radio show at a radio station and have a blast making it happen? KPOV is holding three super fun Youth Radio Camps again this summer!
Who: Youth ages 10-14.
When: The weeks of June 26-30, July 17-21, and August 7-11 from 9:00 a.m to Noon.
Where: The KPOV radio station, 501 NW Bond Street in Bend.

Join KPOV at Central Oregon Pride June 24
KPOV is proud to be a media sponsor of Central Oregon Pride on June 24 and to have a booth at the 13th Annual Celebration.
The Central Oregon Pride celebration takes place June 24 from Noon to 6 in Drake Park. Pride will feature live music, local business and non-profit booths, an adult beverage garden and more. There’s more information at centraloregonpride.org.

KPOV Receives a Grant from MRG Foundation
KPOV SENDS OUR GRATITUDE to MRG Foundation for awarding KPOV a grant for 2017-2018 to support our role as a resource for social justice and community organizing in Central Oregon. MRG Foundation also funds other outstanding Central Oregon organizations, who take advantage of KPOV’s avenues for outreach and education.
We are deeply honored by and proud of the confidence MRG Foundation shows in KPOV by funding High Desert Community Radio.

Waterfront Blues Festival Simulcast July 1-4
KPOV will be simulcasting live coverage of the Oregon Food Bank Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland. Tune in to 88.9 or stream kpov.org to hear the festival Saturday July 1 through Tuesday July 4.
The simulcast is a project of Oregon Community Media, a coalition of nonprofit radio stations across Oregon. KBOO in Portland iis producing the broadcast and will have DJs live at the event. The broadcast will be carried by community stations all over Oregon! Stay tuned for our broadcast schedule.
