Liner notes from the sleeve:

RONNIE WINTERS gained his inspiration quite young, listening on the radio to 'Big Bill Campbell's Rocky Mountain Rhythm', which influenced him in his style of singing and yodelling. Ronnie soon won many talent competitions and this encouraged him to begin a professional career performing in band shows and summer seasons as a balled singer. He always finished his act with one cowboy song which proved to be the highlight of his act. However, his real chance came when he was asked to appear with Sheriff Danny Arnold's Western Show 'The Golden Horseshoe Saloon'. This gave him the opportunity to perfect and polish his act which makes him so popular wherever he plays today.

Ronnie was all round winner of 'Opportunity Knocks' in its hey day on radio with an amazing majority of votes. A successful audition followed with EMI which resulted in a recording with Jeff Love and his orchestra. He performed summer seasons with Russ Conway etc. and 10 summer seasons with the 'Golden Garter Show'. He has made many radio and TV broadcasts and was recently a firm favourite as resident compere and in cabaret at the famous Nashville Rooms. His most recent broadcast was on BBC2 'Up Country'.

I am sure that all who have heard him on his present theatre and cabaret tours will thoroughly enjoy this record.
