Malaysia is a popular tourist destination in the Southeast Asia, popular for its beaches, culture and lifestyle. Gaining its independence on 31st August 1957, Malaysia has since risen to become a prosperous country that is famous for being a tourist destination.

It is a tropical country that usually enjoys temperate weather all year round, and no natural disasters. There are two monsoon seasons - the southwest monsoon season from late May to September, and the northeast monsoon season from October to March.

The tourists numbers are usually only affected during these periods, when the east coast beaches close at the end of the year due to the dangerous tides.
