Thick cloud over eastern NSW due to an offshore low is generating rain and thunderstorms, heaviest south from the Hunter. Cloud crossing southwest WA with a weak front is bringing the odd light shower. Skies are mostly clear elsewhere turning a chilly morning into a sunny day.
