Benefit Freedom of Movement All Included – Music & performances with Efa Supertramp, Dancing Queer & Glittasphyxia

all-in-T-shirtThursday June 15th 2017, Benefit Freedom of Movement All Included, Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm. Music & performances from 8:30 till 10pm with Efa Supertramp (punk folk singer, Cardiff), Dancing Queer (queer Egyptian belly dancer) and Glittasphyxia (spoken word/tales of a feral exhibitionist).

All Included is a small campaign organization in Amsterdam that struggles for free migration and sustainable development. We support the migrants’ movement that fights for their rights.
The current developments on the EU-borders demonstrate the power of migration that breaks the illusion of Europe as an island of equal rights, civilization, democracy and welfare(state). We support the migrants who come to our borders and welcome them. The EU has always pretended to be in control of the border security without degenerating into a Fortress Europe. Given the large numbers of migrants entering ‘irregularly’ today, the EU broke out in panic while portraying migrants as a threat and migration as a crime. The repressive EU-deal like the one with Turkey is not new. Other buffer states such as Morocco, Libya, Mauritania, Senegal have had to sign those deals in the past where migrants, irrespective of flight pattern, are kept outside the EU. Human rights are violated outside the EU in return of a bag of money. The war against immigrants is just more visible now because it is clear that the EU cannot control the migration at its borders. We support migrants breaking through borders and confronting the image of the EU as an tolerant civilization. The EU is pressuring African states to stop migration threatening with stopping development Aid: the Valletta agreements. We say: Open Escape Routes! Stop Deportations! Our African friends are resisting these deals: http://www.allincluded.nl/posts/actie-landgrabbing-office-du-niger-in-mali/

All Included is involved in Afrique-Europe Interact, a partnership between African and European grassroots organizations that support free migration and sustainable development. Contacts are mainly in Western Europe (Mali, Togo, Burkina Faso, Senegal) and North Africa (Morocco, Tunisia). Themes are deportation, freedom of movement, land grabbing, corruption. All Included is also active in Watch the Med http://www.watchthemed.net/) and Alarm Phone (http://alarmphone.org/en/), a 24-hour emergency phone for those who cross the Mediterranean. Undocumented migrants in Amsterdam are where possible supported by All Included.

What’s included?

All Included Amsterdam is a new initiative that fights for freedom of movement and for the right of residence for migrants. In a time when globalization is a fact, migration should be recognized as part of a package deal. It’s All Included. This means: no illegality, no detention for undocumented migrants and no forced evictions.

With the disappearance of national borders, national identity disappears. Everyone becomes global citizen and deserves regardless of origin equal rights and equal opportunities. Therefore also for migrants ‘all included’ rights and obligations.

Allincluded.nl fightsg for an open society through extra-parliamentary action which intervenes in the political climate of assimilation, closeness and fear. Through direct assistance to rejected asylum seekers and other migrants without residence permit, indictments against abuses of current polities are being propagated. We want to contribute to the public debate with alternative visions of migration and globalization based on open borders, solidarity and initiative from the base.

Benefit Aid Delivery Mission Balkans 2017

Aid_Delivery_Mission_Balkan_action_2017Monday February 13th 2017, Benefit Aid Delivery Mission Balkans 2017. Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm.

About Aid Delivery Mission: “Who we are? An ever changing and chaotic refugee crisis calls for a flexible approach, therefore we are combining an extensive experience of mobile kitchens and providing food, with our ability to reflect on what is needed, where and when.
Thousands of people are stuck around various borders in unsupported makeshift camps, so far the winter has been forgiving, but that is already changing.
We are based on voluntary work depending on donations, but we need help, especially financial support to cover transport costs and food supplies.
1000 x Thanks
Thanks to your support we have distributed more than half a million meals …
Thanks also to all the volunteers who, through rain and sun, at impossible hours and under difficult circumstances, prepared and distributed all these meals.
The Aid Delivery Mission of the Feniks Foundation, originally scheduled for three months, has lasted for more than half a year, thanks to your help.
In these six months, volunteers have provided more than 500,000 meals to the refugees in and around Idomeni at the Greek Macedonian border.
The first months our support mainly existed out of distributing hot meals, since April 2016 we also provided food in the form of food packages with homemade rocket stove’s to some groups.
We have chosen for this because people by getting back a small piece of self-sufficiency, also recover a little self-respect.
The unofficial camps around Idomeni are now cleared and most of the refugees are transferred to military camps.
The ADM has returned to its home port and is preparing for and thinking about the next project.
We are not an “official charity” but at the moment it will necessary again, we will be ready with our pots and pans, stir bars and vegetable cleavers.
Without your help we can not run any next project, so we’ll keep you posted.
Thanks !!!”

Benefit for We Are Here Academy + Iranian movie night: Fireworks Wednesday (Asghar Farhadi, 2006)

Asghar_Farhadi_Fireworks_WednesdayMonday January 16th 2017, Food at 7pm with a benefit for We Are Here Academy. Then at 9pm, Iranian movie night with Fireworks Wednesday from Asghar Farhadi, (2006).

The We Are Here Academy is an educational initiative offering university-level courses for undocumented individuals. The We Are Here Academy upholds the rights for any person, whether or not in possession of legal status, to pursue an education. http://heretosupport.nl/we-are-here-academy-3/

Fireworks Wednesday, Iranian film from Asghar Farhadi (2006, 104 min.). In Farsi with English subtitles. The titular fireworks are literal – the story takes place as Iranians celebrate New Year  by spring-cleaning and lighting firecrackers – and metaphorical : when Rouhi, a young bride-to-be working for a cleaning agency,  turns up at the apartment of a couple about to go on holiday, she’s drawn into an explosive domestic conflict. What distinguishes the film is the way Farhadi keeps us guessing from as to what exactly is happening and why; repeatedly shifting our point of view, he forces us to question our assumptions about characters and their reliability. This compelling, corrosive account of male-female relationships in today’s Tehran is tempered by genuine compassion for the individuals concerned; wisely, Farhadi never serves judgement on them in their troubled pursuit of truth, love and happiness. Intelligent, illuminating and directed with unflashy expertise.

All Included benefit, actions against Valletta by Afrique Europe Interact in Africa and Europe

Monday December 12th 2016, All Included benefit, actions against Valletta by Afrique Europe Interact in Africa and Europe. Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm.

Migration is felt as a problem, as a threat. Politicians are only reacting on the defensive without any vision. Too many deaths on our doorstep leads to deals with human rights violators such as Niger, Turkey, Morocco, Libya, Eritrea. Development aid is now – under the guise of saving lives – openly used to stop migration in countries of origin. Asylum seekers should be housed in overcrowded camps in countries such as Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey. No vision that goes beyond our borders and that offers perspectives for North and South. During the Dutch presidency of the European Commission in early 2016 All Included worked closely together with an initiative of 10 NGOs from West Africa concerning the pressure from the EU to close the borders between African countries. In April, we presented a declaration from these organizations to the dutch foreign minister Koenders just before his visit to West Africa. In September we held a public meeting on the impact of the Euro-African Valetta agreement from nov. 2015 for the population in African countries. Alassane Dicko Afrique-Europe Interact (section Mali) was our guest in Amsterdam visits (http://www.allincluded.nl/posts/category/actie/acties-tegen-eu-afrika-afspraken-valletta/).
In november 2016, we attended a large gathering of the Association Malienne the Expulsés (expelled migrants) in Bamako/Mali on deportations and the social movement in West Africa. Also, a meeting was held by the Malian Afrique-Europe Interact in Bamako where women’s organizations, fishermen, farmers, expelled migrants, residents against gentrification came together to support each other. Actions by Afrique-Europe Interact took place in Berlin and in Bamako in nov. concerning the pressure of Europe on the West-African countries on signing readmission agreements and accepting the European Laissez Passer (one way passport). They are a place where refugees can sleep, eat and socialize without any money needed. The squats are managed by refugees and greeks alike in weekly assemblies.
The City Plaza Refugee squat is the biggest in Athens, in the multicultural area of Acharnon, and started in May 2016. It used to be a hotel closed for almost 10 years. Now it permanently houses more than 300 people from 7 countries. It also offers food three times every day, childcare and medical care. City Plaza Squat also participates in the struggle against racism by organizing rallies and demonstrations. Read more here: http://solidarity2refugees.gr/english/

Benefit for No Border Kitchen Lesvos

2161003_Benefit_No_Border_Kitchen_LesvosMonday October 3rd 2016, Benefit for No Border Kitchen Lesvos, Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm

CALL FOR SUPPORT!  No Border Kitchen Lesvos is up and running. Again! After we have been evicted from our camp on Tsamakia Beach it took us some weeks to reorganise our work. Finally, we found a new place to cook. Since the eviction and police repression costed us parts of our equipment and some of our team members, we’re now calling out for support. We are in heavy need for people who want to cook, deliver food and organise general issues on the island and – of course – we are in need for financial support. If you would like to join us, it would be nice if you could tell us a little ahead when you want to join. We are especially happy about activists who want to stay with us a little longer.

The situation on the islands is still difficult. Thousands are trapped here on their way to the European mainland. Meanwhile, the conditions in the infamous detention prison in Moria are horrible: People are lacking basic supplies like food and shelter and are object of (police-)violence on a daily basis. As almost all NGOs have left the island or are gone on “standby”, there are only few support structures left, especially for those refusing to live in a prison and stand the conditions in Moria.

We need your help! If you want to support us financially, please use the following bank details:

Rote Hilfe OG Salzwedel
IBAN: DE93 4306 0967 4007 2383 12
BIC: GENODEM1GLS
Comment: NBK Lesvos

Please share this call out via other mailing lists and individuals interested and contact us, if you are planning to come to the island. For up to date information, check our blog [https://noborderkitchenlesvos.noblogs.org/]. If you still have questions, feel free to contact us.

Benefit voku & acoustic night for Mutfak soli kitchen w/ Serpent (be), Branding (be) and Kopfleuchten (de)

20160912_Mutfak_benefitMonday September 12th 2016, Benefit voku & acoustic night for Mutfak soli kitchen w/ Serpent (be), Branding (be) and Kopfleuchten (de). Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm. Gig at 8:30 sharp!!

Mutfak is a migrant solidarity kitchen in Tarlabaşı, Istanbul. It is not like any other kitchen. It has neither cooks nor customers. Here, everybody is a cook and all the food is shared. It belongs to the neighborhood and everyone is welcome. Local markets, shops, organizations, farmer’s cooperatives and all sorts of collectives contribute to the kitchen with vege tables, cereals, oils and other ingredients that they offer. All contributors bring something to put into the pots, stir them and land a hand to whatever is needed. Here neither money nor credit cards are valid, but solidarity and collaboration are. This is a place of sharing our food, labor, ideas, stories and daily lives. The kitchen is not solely about eating. Those who are willing to, can share their knowledge, abilities and experiences with others through workshops. For what comes in handy for one, might also be a tool for the others. To start with, there will be Turkish and English language courses, legal counselling for immigrants, activities for children and craft courses open to everyone’s contribution. This kitchen serves as a locus of solidarity and sharing against all sorts of borders that tear us apart. In these days they are not cooking so much anymore – but are still invested in creating solidary bonds in our neighborhood which has been shaped by migration since a long time. Their current project takes them around Turkey cooking at antimilitary camps. All proceeds from the event will go to help with their equipment and fuel expenses.

Voku Benefit We Are Here

we_are_hereMonday July 4th 2016, Voku Benefit We Are Here, Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm.

We Are Here is a self-organised refugee action collective.
Refused refugees living on the streets of the Netherlands struggle for life. Since 2007 the asylum policy in the Netherlands started to change. Refugees who have been rejected are no longer entitled to basic rights such as shelter and food. Even when it is impossible to return to their countries of origin, the Dutch government argues that they can leave voluntarily. Denying them access to reception centers, putting them in prison and forcing them to survive in parks, railway stations and insecure hiding places, that is the way to convince them to leave this country. On European level the asylum policy also forms a problem for refugees. Most people of We Are Here are not allowed to stay in The Netherlands, cannot go back to their own country, but can also not move to another European country, due to the Dublin II agreement.

This self-organized action by the refugees has highlighted a humanitarian problem that has been growing for years and was hidden from the public eye. Now these people have made themselves visible and seek solutions by entering in dialogue with civil society and democratic representatives. To realize their aims they need to be together, safe and visible. In the mean time they inform the Dutch citizens about their situation, do political lobby and demonstrate for their rights. http://wijzijnhier.org/ […Lees verder]
