Negeri Sembilan is situated in the western region of Peninsular Malaysia. This state borders Selangor to the north, Pahang to the east, and Melaka and Johor to the south. Residents of Negeri Sembilan experience tropical climate throughout the year. Average temperatures during the day range from 27 to 30˚C. Most days of the year are sunny with occasional rain. However, most rainfall is concentrated in the inter-monsoon period between April and October.

Some of the famous foods of this state are Seremban siew pau, nasi padang, masak lemak chili padi and lemang. Caklempong, dikir rebana, tumbuk kalang and bongai are some of the traditional music. Popular cultural dances include tarian lilin and rentak kuda.
