This new triple CD Deluxe
Edition is the most comprehensive of the very many Donna Summer greatest
hits compilations available. The re-mastering is also superb. The songs are
thematically grouped - CD1 To Dance, CD2 To Love and CD3 To Remember -
the titles indicating the emphasis of the songs included. This 3CD deluxe collectors' edition
contains more than 50 classic tracks from 1968 onwards, including Donna's hit Singles, collaborations with
Barbra Streisand, Brooklyn Dreams, Paul Jabara & Musical Youth, as well as the rare

is the seventeenth and final studio album by American singer Donna
Summer. it was her first album of original material since 1994's Christmas Spirit and 1991's Mistaken Identity.
This was Donna's last album released before her death on May 17, 2012.
It includes the singles "I'm A Fire", "Stamp Your Feet", "It's Only
Love" & "Fame (The Game)".
This is the 2016 Remaster, it has been extended to 3CD's and contains
the remixes of "I'm A Fire", "Stamp Your Feet" and "Fame (The Game)" on
discs 2 & 3.

Donna Summer recorded this album in 1981, with producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, (who had produced all her previous albums). Donna's record company decided it wasn't what they wanted and shelved it. It became her last full album produced by Moroder & Bellotte. Over the years, a couple of the tracks crept out on Soundtracks ('Highway Runner' & 'Romeo'), and 2 more tracks were remixed for 1993's Donna Summer Anthology ("I'm A Rainbow" & "Don't Cry For Me Argentina"), but wasn't until 1996 that this album got an official release.
This is the 2014 Remastered 2CD Release.

Donna Summer's 1991 album 'Mistaken Identity' was a different direction to her usual style. This album tries to capture a more 90's urban style, but most fans were expecting another disco style follow up to her previous album 'Another Place And Time'. While the album isn't that bad, it disappointed more fans than it pleased and wasn't very successful. It was also Donna's last studio album for 17 years (Apart from her 1994 Christmas album).
This is the 2014 Remaster, not only is it newly remastered for this release, it now contains 4 bonus tracks.

This pairing gave Donna her highest charting album since 'Bad Girls' in 1979. The album also produced 5 UK Hits with 'This Time I Know It's For Real', 'Love's About To Change My Heart', 'I Don't Wanna Get Hurt', 'Breakaway' & 'When Love Takes Over You'.

Donna's 13th studio album 'All Systems Go' was released in 1987, almost 3 years since her previous album 'Cats Without Claws'. The album is a composite of tracks recorded between 1983 & 1987 with several different producers. The result is a fusion of 80's synth Pop/Dance with Soul and R&B elements, including both upbeat songs and ballads. Although it charted poorly, I think this was one of the best of Donna's 80's albums.
This is the 2014 Remaster. Not only is it newly remastered for this release, it also contains 7 Bonus tracks.

Although there are a few great tracks on it, it didn't have the chart success of her previous album and barely made the top 40. The singles were 'There Goes My Baby', 'Supernatural Love' & 'Eyes'.

'The Wanderer' was Donna Summer's 8th studio album, and her first since leaving the Casablanca label and signing with Geffen. Wanting to leave her Sensual Disco image in the past, Donna tried to take her music in a new direction, with a more Pop/Rock sound. While not as successful as her previous albums, it did peak at #13 on the Billboard Album charts and produced a #3 hit with the title track, followed by 2 top 40 singles 'Cold Love' & 'Who Do You Think You're Foolin'. Donna was also nominated for 2 Grammy awards for this album.

This highly anticipated album was done as a tribute to the late great Donna Summer. Taking some of her best tracks and having some of todays biggest DJ's and mixers completely remix these tracks sounds like it would be an incredible tribute to the legendary singer. Unfortunately most of Donna's fans were disappointed in the end result. Several of the tracks use little or no vocal at all, and rely on endless looping which gets annoying very quickly. But there are still a few gems here, with Giorgio Moroder's remix of 'Love To Love You Baby' & the mixes of 'Love Is In Control' & 'Last Dance' which bring Donna's vocals way out front where they belong. There is also a previously unreleased Donna Summer/Giorgio Moroder track added to this collection, with 'La Dolce Vida', a track completed by Moroder after Donna's passing last year. In all, this collection was clearly done to appeal more towards todays youth and Club scene rather than Donna's fans, but is still worth having for the few gems it does contain.

Donna Summer's 'Live & More' was a double LP set, the first three sides containing the live recording from one of her concerts at the Universal Ampitheatre in Los Angeles in 1978. The fourth side of the original LP contained the 'MacArthur Park Suite' Medley. When the album was originally released on CD, they removed the last track and replaced it with the extended version of 'Theme From The Deep' so they could fit the entire album on one CD (CD's had a limit of 74 Mins back then), plus they changed the cover art.
This Remastered Japan Issue SHM-CD restores the original track list and album art to finally give us the album as it was original released back in 1978. A stunning performance from Donna, and it is no wonder it topped the charts on it's original release!

Best remembered for it's mega hit 'I Feel Love', but there are several great tracks on this album. The first 1/2 of the album (Side one on the LP/Cassette), payed homage to different styles from the 30's to the 60's. 70's. The idea of this album is to follow a romance through the 4
different seasons of the year. From the love at first sight ("Spring
Affair") to passion ("Summer Fever") to problems ("Autumn Changes") and
just plain heartache ("Winter Melody"), and ending with a reprise of
Spring affair. Whilst still classed as disco, the tracks show a mixture
of R&B, Soul & disco. A departure from her previous 2
albums.
