The Nolan Sisters were a group consisting of 5 sisters from Ireland. They got their start in 1974 performing on British TV shows, most notably on 'The Morcambe & Wise Show' & 'The Two Ronnies'. Their first major success came with their 1979 Eurovision Song Contest entry 'Harry My Honolulu Lover'. Although the song didn't win, and the single was a flop, they were signed to Epic Records and released their album 'The Nolan Sisters', which produced a hit with 'Spirit Body & Soul', and the major breakthrough hit 'Im In The Mood For Dancing'. After a minor line up change, the group changed their name to 'The Nolans' and recorded the album 'Making Waves', which was released in 1980. The album soared up the UK charts, peaking at #11, and staying in the charts for 33 weeks. It produced 4 hit singles, including 'Gotta Pull Myself Together' which soared up the charts in Australia & New Zealand, and gained them further international attention.
This is the 2009 2CD Reissue, which includes new Remasters of both albums plus a bonus track, the Eurovision single 'Harry My Honolulu Lover'.

Released in 1987, 'Carasmastic' was Irene Cara's third album. Despite an impressive list of musicians who contributed to this album,(including Luther Vandross, James Ingram, Bonnie Raitt, Carole King & Michael Bolton), the album sold poorly and barely charted, and is now out of print. Although many fans claim this to be her strongest album, the first single 'Girlfriends' also failed to make a dent on the charts.

Kon Kan were an Canadian group, formed in 1988. Their Debut album 'Move To Move' was a collection of Synthpop / Dance tracks, which sampled many well known hits of the 70's. The album produced 3 hit singles in Canada, (which also became minor hits in the US & Europe), the biggest being 'I Beg Your Pardon'. After a minor line up change, the band released 2 more albums, but neither were as successful as 'Move To Move' & they disbanded in 1994. Singer Barry Harris later teamed with DJ Chris Cox, as part of 'Thunderpuss', who produced and remixed dozens of dance hits for several major music artists in the late 1990's and early 2000's.

Donna Summer's 'Live & More' was a double LP set, the first three sides containing the live recording from one of her concerts at the Universal Ampitheatre in Los Angeles in 1978. The fourth side of the original LP contained the 'MacArthur Park Suite' Medley. When the album was originally released on CD, they removed the last track and replaced it with the extended version of 'Theme From The Deep' so they could fit the entire album on one CD (CD's had a limit of 74 Mins back then), plus they changed the cover art.
This Remastered Japan Issue SHM-CD restores the original track list and album art to finally give us the album as it was original released back in 1978. A stunning performance from Donna, and it is no wonder it topped the charts on it's original release!

voice and talent. The mastering is amazing, these songs sound better
than they ever did, I only wish they had expanded it to a 2CD set that
