The College of Arts and Education offers high quality and engaging courses from undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees to PhD level research.

Features of our courses are flexible entry and exit points, pathways and contemporary modes of delivery. Our students are supported to ensure we maintain rigorous standards.

Our education programs emphasise  workplace and community placements which prepare our graduates for employment opportunities with communities in and beyond the west of Melbourne.

All teacher education courses in the College are accredited against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers implemented by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

Psychology and Social Work (formerly in the Arts College) are joining the College of Health and Biomedicine from January 2017.

Education students & partners

All teacher education courses at VU include professional experience and supervised teaching practice in schools.

Other courses such as early childhood, youth work and TESOL courses, also involve placements in professional settings.
