Smithsonian National Postal Museum
The Smithsonian National Postal Museum is devoted to the history of America’s mail service and the hobby of stamp collecting. The museum, created by an agreement between the Smithsonian and the United States Postal Service, holds in its collection the National Philatelic Collection with more than 5.9 million objects. It is located in the historic City Post Office Building next to Washington's Union Station.
