The Gold Coast has over 2200 parks covering 14,000 hectares, almost 700 playgrounds, over 380 barbecues and over 200 sports fields scattered across the City.

Popular facilities

Sports field closures and sport clubs
Sports fields may at times need to be closed. Find details of current sports field closures due to wet weather and our maintenance and renovation schedule. City of Gold Coast's (City) provides a large number of sporting and training facilities and programs for both residents and visitors.
Community leasing
City of Gold Coast provides a range of facilities which are available for community leasing by not-for-profit organisations. More than 400 properties are currently being used for sport, recreation, cultural or community purposes.
Commercial fitness training in parks
City parks offer a great setting for recreational activities, including outdoor personal and group fitness training activities.
To effectively manage the use of our parks and reserves, the City is developing a permit system to address outdoor commercial fitness training activities.
