The new dirtybird compilation is loaded with 11 great tunes I have been collecting for over 6 months. Most notably, the Shiba San "OKAY" record has absolutely been destroying every dance floor known to man. We have lots of big birds like Justin Martin, Catz 'n Dogz & Justin Jay on this, plus a ton of great newcomers and friends making appearances.
The dirtybird BBQ was founded as a small get together in Golden Gate Park thirteen years ago. We've had the same core line-ups and even the same chef, Grillson, since the beginning. But three years ago, the free party in the park got too big and our permit was pulled. The city of San Francisco could no longer handle the amount of people showing up to the event.
Ever since then we have been trying to think of way to bring back the vibe of the BBQ park party. This year we finally put together a team that is able to take the BBQ party all across North America and Europe. We will be starting in Miami and ending in San Francisco so make sure to come grill and chill with us sometime this year. This compilation is a celebration of the O.G. dirtybird BBQ vibe. Germany’s most successful artist of the last two decades and one the most streamed artists on this planet has just unveiled his latest sensational collaboration with the world-renowned British superstar James Blunt, right on time for the summer season. Robin Schulz’s new single “OK” is a beautifully melodic deep house anthem paired with James Blunt’s distinctive vocals that releases today and is already creating quite a stir.
The two superstars hit it off from the start and their chemistry on the track is undeniable: “I’ve had many great nights in Ibiza clubs listening to the very talented Robin Schulz DJ’ing, so this collaboration is very exciting for me,” James Blunt confirms. The feeling is mutual, as Robin Schulz adds: “I’m really looking forward to this release. What a great experience to work with a fantastic artist like James. This song is perfect for the summer!”
Also releasing is the brand new companion video, directed by Liza Minou Morberg and starring James Blunt alongside German actress Lisa Tomaschewsky (“Deutschland 83”), who was very much impressed by the clip’s visual aesthetic: “I was really drawn in by its cinematic approach.” The video pays homage to Michel Gondry’s movie “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and details a young man trying to rid himself from the memories of a past relationship, before the chorus reminds us that in the end: “It’s gonna be okay!”
What’s more, “OK (feat. James Blunt)” gives listeners a first taste of Robin Schulz’s forthcoming new album. On September 8th the superstar DJ and record-breaking producer will release his third studio album “Uncovered” with a total of 18 new tracks. “Uncovered” is the follow-up to his Platinum-certified breakthrough debut “Prayer” (2014) and his Gold-certified sophomore LP “Sugar” (2015).

Bad news.
We’re all struggling with something – a debilitating weakness or illness. Or someone we love is barely holding on.
We watch the news. We see the tweets, the Facebook posts...the YouTube comments!
We hear about hate, terror, and despair. But just because what sells, what goes “viral,” or what gets attention may try to drown out the good in the world, it doesn’t mean that goodness is gone. Just because choruses of controversy and scandal shout louder than quiet symphonies of service, it doesn’t change the fact that, inside, most of us still genuinely want happiness -- not only for ourselves, but also for our family, our friends, and our fellow human beings.
Media can make the world look bleak. They’ve given themselves this job description, in part because there’s a darker side on the surface of human nature that feeds on fear and cynicism. But deep down, we are beings of light. And in the end, since darkness is merely the absence of light, light will inevitably overcome dark.
This is the essence of hope. And the essence of this song. “No matter what you’ve been through, no matter if you think you’re falling apart, it’s gonna be okay.”
Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But we believe that someday, somehow, all things will be made right. And as the Psalm says, “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”
In the meantime, there are so many more things to hope for and to work at while we yearn for the outcome we want so badly – more gratitude for what we have, more love for those we’ve taken for granted, more faith in ourselves and those we hold dear, and more confidence in a Divine purpose.
We felt like the best way to spread the message of this song was to supplement our standard classically-influenced instrumental niche with a more pop-driven tune featuring Al’s superb vocal skills.

James Blunt
James Hillier Blount (born 22 February 1974), better known by his stage name James Blunt, is an English singer-songwriter and former soldier. He had signed with EMI before securing a recording contract with Atlantic Records and Custard Records.
Blunt rose to prominence in 2004 with the release of his debut studio album Back to Bedlam, before achieving worldwide fame with the singles "You're Beautiful" and "Goodbye My Lover". The album sold over 11 million copies worldwide, topping the UK Albums Chart and peaking at number two in the US. Blunt's second album, All the Lost Souls, which was released in 2007, topped the charts in over 20 countries and produced the hit single "1973". His third album, Some Kind of Trouble, was released in 2010, after its lead single Stay the Night. A deluxe edition was released the following year, titled Some Kind of Trouble: Revisited. In 2013, he released his fourth album, Moon Landing, which was preceded by the lead single "Bonfire Heart", which peaked at number four in the UK Singles Chart following promotion on The One Show and The Graham Norton Show, as well as receiving extensive radio airplay.

Robin Schulz
Robin Schulz (born 28 April 1987) is a German DJ and producer. Most of his songs make use of electric guitar riffs. On 4 February, 2014, he released the first single from his debut album, a remix of "Waves" by Dutch hip hop artist Mr Probz. This remix later received a nomination for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. His follow-up single, released 6 June, 2014, was a remix of the Lilly Wood and the Prick track "Prayer in C" from their 2010 album Invincible Friends. Both remixes have charted in many European countries and the United States, leading to international recognition for Schulz. He co-founded Lausbuben Records with Daniel Bruns and Christopher Noble. His references in electronic music are Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, Tiësto and the Epic Sax Guy.

Baby Alive
Baby Alive is a baby doll made by Hasbro that eats, drinks, wets and in some cases messes. Its mouth moves. It is marketed as being lifelike. It was originally made and introduced by Kenner in 1973, and reintroduced by Hasbro in 2006. Today, Baby Alive is offered in Caucasian, African-American, and Hispanic varieties. The newest versions include Wets & Wiggles (male or female), Sip 'N Slurp, Sip 'N Snooze, Pat 'N Burp, Baby Alive Learns to Potty, and Baby Alive Bye Bye, Baby.
History
1970s-1980s
The first Baby Alive doll was introduced by Kenner in 1973. It could be fed food packets mixed with water, and came with a bottle, diapers, and feeding spoon. The spoon would be inserted into its mouth, and a lever on its back pushed to have it chew the food. The food would move through her and end up in her diaper; this version did not speak, so you had to check the diaper a few moments after feeding. It also produced droppings and threw up regularly.

The Piano Guys are an American musical group consisting of Jon Schmidt, Steven Sharp Nelson, Paul Anderson, and Al van der Beek. They gained popularity through YouTube, where they posted piano and cello renditions of popular songs and classical music. Schmidt and Nelson's music is accompanied by professional-quality videos shot and edited by Paul Anderson and formerly by Tel Stewart. Their first four major-label albums The Piano Guys, The Piano Guys 2, A Family Christmas, and Wonders each reached number one on the Billboard New Age Albums and Classical Albums charts.
History
Paul Anderson owned a piano shop in St. George, Utah. He met musician Jon Schmidt as the latter walked in to ask if he could practice there for an upcoming concert. Months later, Paul Anderson and Tel Stewart (then just for fun) started making videos together with Jon Schmidt. It was not too long after that they did their first collaboration with Jon Schmidt, Steven Sharp Nelson, and Al Van Der Beek as the studio and music technician. After the five of them started collaborating the group really started to take off, producing a music video each week and posting it to YouTube.

The new dirtybird compilation is loaded with 11 great tunes I have been collecting for over 6 months. Most notably, the Shiba San "OKAY" record has absolutely been destroying every dance floor known to man. We have lots of big birds like Justin Martin, Catz 'n Dogz & Justin Jay on this, plus a ton of great newcomers and friends making appearances.
The dirtybird BBQ was founded as a small get together in Golden Gate Park thirteen years ago. We've had the same core line-ups and even the same chef, Grillson, since the beginning. But three years ago, the free party in the park got too big and our permit was pulled. The city of San Francisco could no longer handle the amount of people showing up to the event.
Ever since then we have been trying to think of way to bring back the vibe of the BBQ park party. This year we finally put together a team that is able to take the BBQ party all across North America and Europe. We will be starting in Miami and ending in San Francisco so make sure to come grill and chill with us sometime this year. This compilation is a celebration of the O.G. dirtybird BBQ vibe. Germany’s most successful artist of the last two decades and one the most streamed artists on this planet has just unveiled his latest sensational collaboration with the world-renowned British superstar James Blunt, right on time for the summer season. Robin Schulz’s new single “OK” is a beautifully melodic deep house anthem paired with James Blunt’s distinctive vocals that releases today and is already creating quite a stir.
The two superstars hit it off from the start and their chemistry on the track is undeniable: “I’ve had many great nights in Ibiza clubs listening to the very talented Robin Schulz DJ’ing, so this collaboration is very exciting for me,” James Blunt confirms. The feeling is mutual, as Robin Schulz adds: “I’m really looking forward to this release. What a great experience to work with a fantastic artist like James. This song is perfect for the summer!”
Also releasing is the brand new companion video, directed by Liza Minou Morberg and starring James Blunt alongside German actress Lisa Tomaschewsky (“Deutschland 83”), who was very much impressed by the clip’s visual aesthetic: “I was really drawn in by its cinematic approach.” The video pays homage to Michel Gondry’s movie “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and details a young man trying to rid himself from the memories of a past relationship, before the chorus reminds us that in the end: “It’s gonna be okay!”
What’s more, “OK (feat. James Blunt)” gives listeners a first taste of Robin Schulz’s forthcoming new album. On September 8th the superstar DJ and record-breaking producer will release his third studio album “Uncovered” with a total of 18 new tracks. “Uncovered” is the follow-up to his Platinum-certified breakthrough debut “Prayer” (2014) and his Gold-certified sophomore LP “Sugar” (2015).
Less than three years in the making Robin Schulz ranks among the most sought after acts on the globe and currently holds DJ residencies at Ibiza venues Ushuaia and Pacha as well as the Wynn in Las Vegas. It all began with his record-setting remix “Prayer in C” (the internationally most successful hit of a German act to date). We’ve all had that phone call. That email or that message. That conversation.
Bad news.
We’re all struggling with something – a debilitating weakness or illness. Or someone we love is barely holding on.
We watch the news. We see the tweets, the Facebook posts...the YouTube comments!
We hear about hate, terror, and despair. But just because what sells, what goes “viral,” or what gets attention may try to drown out the good in the world, it doesn’t mean that goodness is gone. Just because choruses of controversy and scandal shout louder than quiet symphonies of service, it doesn’t change the fact that, inside, most of us still genuinely want happiness -- not only for ourselves, but also for our family, our friends, and our fellow human beings.
Media can make the world look bleak. They’ve given themselves this job description, in part because there’s a darker side on the surface of human nature that feeds on fear and cynicism. But deep down, we are beings of light. And in the end, since darkness is merely the absence of light, light will inevitably overcome dark.
This is the essence of hope. And the essence of this song. “No matter what you’ve been through, no matter if you think you’re falling apart, it’s gonna be okay.”
Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But we believe that someday, somehow, all things will be made right. And as the Psalm says, “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”
In the meantime, there are so many more things to hope for and to work at while we yearn for the outcome we want so badly – more gratitude for what we have, more love for those we’ve taken for granted, more faith in ourselves and those we hold dear, and more confidence in a Divine purpose.
We felt like the best way to spread the message of this song was to supplement our standard classically-influenced instrumental niche with a more pop-driven tune featuring Al’s superb vocal skills.

Story behind the song:
We’ve all had that phone call. That email or that message. That conversation.
Bad news.
We’re all struggling with something – a debilitating weakness or illness. Or someone we love is barely holding on.
We watch the news. We see the tweets, the Facebook posts...the YouTube comments!
We hear about hate, terror, and despair. But just because what sells, what goes “viral,” or what gets attention may try to drown out the good in the world, it doesn’t mean that goodness is gone. Just because choruses of controversy and scandal shout louder than quiet symphonies of service, it doesn’t change the fact that, inside, most of us still genuinely want happiness -- not only for ourselves, but also for our family, our friends, and our fellow human beings.
Media can make the world look bleak. They’ve given themselves this job description, in part because there’s a darker side on the surface of human nature that feeds on fear and cynicism. But deep down, we are beings of light. And in the end, since darkness is merely the absence of light, light will inevitably overcome dark.
This is the essence of hope. And the essence of this song. “No matter what you’ve been through, no matter if you think you’re falling apart, it’s gonna be okay.”
Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But we believe that someday, somehow, all things will be made right. And as the Psalm says, “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”
In the meantime, there are so many more things to hope for and to work at while we yearn for the outcome we want so badly – more gratitude for what we have, more love for those we’ve taken for granted, more faith in ourselves and those we hold dear, and more confidence in a Divine purpose.
We felt like the best way to spread the message of this song was to supplement our standard classically-influenced instrumental niche with a more pop-driven tune featuring Al’s superb vocal skills.
